$2200 for the 970 and $1600 for the 760. Sorry, I didn't put the price in the video because it isn't listed in my region yet (Rands). I have the USD price in the description.
@@Justakatto it is, and for the price you can buy a waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better desktop computer, i know i know, the main purpose is portability here but still, minisforum is doing a great job without breaking the bank
For the price better to build a very small sff pc with desktop 4070 super card. It will just be slightly bigger than this but will be cheaper and more powerful. Either that or wait for minisforum to update their HX series with Radeon 7600M XT and that will also be better value
Putting a 4070 in a Zotac Magnus One will give you 18K in Time Spy (and a little holiday with the family by the savings). Zotac has a similar model to the ROG, the EN 4070 for half the price. Tip: ASUS Serpent Canyon. The integrated A770M (120W, 16GB, all units of desktop chip active, full 256-bit design, 512GByte/s) beats the 4070m in more and more games by driver-update (s. notebookcheck). 11K TimeSpy, 900 Cinebench 24, 74 fps Dying Light 2 (Ultra RT, 2K) XeSS made big progress and a new kind of motion extrapolation avoiding latency is announced by Intel. If you ever want to switch on RT, keep away from AMD (mobile). The 14 cores of the 12700H (45W) beat the M2. Imho the Serpent looks even more stylish. Not bad for 7 Benjamins. (and a longer holiday)
Dude there is no upgrade story with PC. Chipsets and PCI slots change over time. I had 8th gen well spaced PC with the top processor and 2070 GPU. Last year I looked at upgrade and it turns out only the box was worth keeping. I needed bigger power supply for 4090 GPU, I needed new RAM, new motherboard, new CPU, new cooling, new disk as the speed of ssds doubled ….there is simply no such thing as PC upgradeability…..after 5 years you need completely new machine. That is less than the console lifespan. PS I bought new PC including new box……
People have always asked, why waste money on these gaming NUCs when you can just build a PC for cheaper and I would always defend these for their benefits for certain specific setups, but this time it really is too stupidly expensive. The Asus tax is all too real here and it's not even backed with good customer service to make up for the price.
A 7800X3d with 4070 TI and cheap parts costs about the same….. what is expensive in this one again? I see that the processor is mobile and the GPU is likely mobile version too. So that means it is underpowered and likely cooling is poor and the thing is noisy. So those are valid criticisms. Price is actually dirt cheap
What a powerhouse of a mini PC! Would love to get one of them for my living room.
It's an absolute thing of beauty. Amazing engineering. On my X-mas list for sure :)
😅Can I share my opinion on as to why this an overpriced piece of shit?
And make a better suggestion for you
I'll wait for the price to drop around $1500usd 😭
Yeah ive love one but should be 1300 max minisforum do them 1k
How much does it cost?
$2200 for the 970 and $1600 for the 760.

I AGREE.
This device is so overpriced.
WHy not just get a laptop gaming then??? Or am I missing something. Its GPU is the same as Laptop GPUS
Its never in stock so i went with the asus rog g22ch
There are rtx 4080 laptops on sale at best buy at this price range, check the hp omen with a free hyperx cloud headset, cheaper than this nuc.
Omen is 90W GPU but seems to be running pretty well as the cooling system keeps it very cool.
Looks Lenovo-core, with all the plastic and slat designs. Should have made it from aluminum, at the price its being offered at.

Wtf are you talking about man? You contradicted your entire statement😂
The thunderobot mix has similar specs for half the price
This would be more attractive with 4080m!
I feel it should have had a 4090 to make it worth it or at least a 4080
Definitely,it would be insane to have 4080 levels of perfomance in a 2.5L volume
That’s neat.
2200 for this????? Hellll nahhhh. You can build a mini Pc with regular 4070 in it for 2200.
You know how it works.
Brand, components, engeneers, marketing,....
1500 overprise value + remaining for the rest 700 = u spent 2200 for 1500

maybe ill just buy this instead, save alot of hassle
Too expensive
CP 2077 running at 15 FPS, super intuitive device. Best buy, ahahahahahaha! Super price at 2299e.
I built a custom PC with a 7800X3D 32GB RAM and a 4080S for the same price..
Isso não é para pobre
Dedicated gaming device and media center for ONLY USD 2200 😂
Haha yeah I mean it is expensive. Mentioned this a few times. Definitely a device for people who need this sort of set up.
Yeah, especially if it's the laptop version of the GPU
better spec laptops are cheaper
3000$ lol
you never gonna get one...
I got one lol 🥳😸
Should be aluminum
I agree. I wish they did an aluminum shell. Especially for this price.
