@@ltcrobotics6271 nice. rn im leaning towards 4m ~400rpm 4" wheels just becauuse i wanna save some motors for potential climb. could consider 6m dt with PTO but even with 4M it gets very hard to assign only 4 motors to the rest of the subsystems so might have to do pto with 4m dt.
can you please give me the part name for the thing to hook the bagel onto the chain, like the thing that brings it up and is attaxched to that chain. like the thing just above the middle at 7:45
How’s the robot going? My team hasn’t even started yet our coach was a teacher but now he’s not so the school has to set up everything for this year before we start
I saw an frc team essentially have mecanum wheels which obvs spin diagonally that push rings towards the middle, could this work? Cus you have a lot of space on the sides of the intake
@@ltcrobotics6271 what size are your flex wheels? We were thinking of using the 2” v2 mecanum wheels with 2” flex wheels or are you talking more the width of the wheel? Or are these 2” mecanum wheels not v5rc legal?
All non shattering plastic within a certain thickness is legal for function use. The only limit is the amount of functional poly that you use which is a 12”/24” sheet. Make sure to reference the game manual for more specifics
Yes using an all flexwheel intake would work. The only downside is extra weight and more points of possible friction. The main reason we don’t is because we don’t have that many flexwheels
congrats on 1k subs
Thanks 🙏
This is probably the best early season explanation I've ever seen, incredible job
Sorry if I stuttered a lot I was trying to explain in one clip.😁
It's no sweat. Appreciate the info!
It was amazing dw about it
bro my team is cooked😭 fantastic job, this is one of the best ones I've seen
Same 😂
bro was cooking so hard they set the meta
our robot is kinda eating bcuz of ur vid as inspiration so tysmmmm
That stowage and deployment is actually genius

Did u use chatgpt for this?
That bearing design on the intake pivot is smart. Wish I knew that during spin up.
great video. An idea for fixing the jam is to have a bar in between the chain.
We adjusting the spacing of the treads and moved it so it was closer to the ramp. This helped fix the jamming and the treads slipping.
Little will is once again cooking up a cool robot
It’s a great design but one problem I’ve always had is my school has 0 pneumatics stuff
I am very impressed!
nice intake :]
what is your plan to score rings on the neutral wall stakes? also DT specs?
Have ideas for a few deigns like 2-bar/4-bar lifts with intake. Dt is 6m 450 rpm 3.25 inch wheels

we did 4m last year it worked alright
plus 6m only leaves 2 motors for everything else which for me seems not too good

They are called flaps or treads for the chain

Do you think a curved intake ramp would be better and or more space efficient than a straight ramp?
Forgot to mention ours does have a slight curve and yes curved intakes do help a lot

I saw an frc team essentially have mecanum wheels which obvs spin diagonally that push rings towards the middle, could this work? Cus you have a lot of space on the sides of the intake
Altho it would mean the intake would have to be rly wide to account for the mecanum wheels AND the flex wheels
@@Iszlanwe actually thought about this but vex does not sell mechanum wheels small enough that are legal. And the 4 inch ones are wayyy too heavy
@@ltcrobotics6271 what size are your flex wheels? We were thinking of using the 2” v2 mecanum wheels with 2” flex wheels or are you talking more the width of the wheel? Or are these 2” mecanum wheels not v5rc legal?

Ahh alr thank you bro we’ll see if we can find a way to use them but thanks for the intake explanation
hello, is the polycarbonate ramp legal since it serves a purpose to intake the ring?
Polycarbonate is a legal material
All non shattering plastic within a certain thickness is legal for function use. The only limit is the amount of functional poly that you use which is a 12”/24” sheet. Make sure to reference the game manual for more specifics
also many games like spin up people use polycarb for intake
