about the raw input buffer: it is supposed to just take the raw movement without the acceleration, but not all mice work like that. i had one with the acceleration BUILT IN. got a new one and my aim and most importantly consistancy improved a lot.

You don't need to change settings, you need to improve in-game skills. That comes with playing more and time
Actually the raw input buffer removes any screen tearing so I really recommend having it on.

@@YungLunchMoney i dont think you get what raw input buffer even does…riot even said its only for mouse with a high polling rate like 4000-8000. turning this on with 1000 polling wont do anything different then if its off. infact your better turning it off and i bet you hit more shots lool
You need to use your brain 🧠 inside and outside of the game and ask yourself how to get better instead of queueing again and again and doing the wrong things better
@@phonthedon I never explained what it does, if you read my comment, I said it removes any screen tearing, there’s a bug that happens with high DPI mouses where the screen starts tearing if you flick very fast, so I recommend having that option on as it’s the only fix I have found for myself. Please read the comment next time and don’t interpret it in a way that wasn’t intended.

Dont tell people to put « on + boost » without doing research before. If you have a pc with a balanced cpu / gpu ( exemple : Rtx 2060 R5 3600) just setting it to « on » is better. On + boost is for pretty unbalanced hardware ( example : R5 1600 rtx 3070).

I was whiffing so hard in my games for days until I realized I had rawinputbuffer off, barely any shot gets through, somehow after I turned it on, I could aim again even if they're only body shots

Raw input buffer doesnt deal with acceleration. And it actually doesnt matter if ur mouse doesnt refresh faster than 1000mhz
Just go to mouse settings --> additional mouse settings and disable enhance pointer precision, thats the windows mouse accel
Most gaming mice will even tell you that shit is on and offer to turn it off for you

i was gonna say that setting apparently only changes something if ur mouse has like 8k sensor on ur mouse or smth which 90% of mice dont have and it barely make a difference
Are you sure? I feel like there are massive differences when I have "enhance pointer precision" on in the control panel. It's so much better when it's off.

I know I’m late, but he is completely wrong about raw input buffer. It doesn’t do even remotely what he said. This only has an effect on a mouse with very high polling rate. If your mouse has 1000 or below polling rate it doesn’t virtually nothing. This just buffers the large amount of data sent by a mouse with excessive polling rate, reducing input lag. If you have 1000 or less this is not a problem.
First tips IS not exacly but do it u will be happy xd, and be careful the second one can make problems on Bad pc 👍🏼

I prefer the latency boost on off, seems more consistent, plus its what i used in CS and pros do too(m0neZy)

Skill is way more important than any of these settings. Just makes ur game smoother (maybe). Just keep playing everyday, practicing, learning and you’ll eventually rank up. Everything in the settings tab is preference and is there to make your gameplay smoother and easier for *YOU*. (sens, res, enemy highlight color, controls, etc….)

@@YtLouie-rb5ng edpi is just your 'mouse dpi' times the 'sensitivity' which you use in Valorant (or any other shooter games).
You can easily check you mouse dpi on the internet (in case you haven't or don't know). And then, change your game sensitivity in practice mode or wherever you like. As I have seen on the net, an 800 dpi mouse should ideally have 0.4 sensitivity in Valo, but that, I guess, is just an average data and it can be different for different players. My mouse has approx 800 dpi, but I have the sensitivity of 0.67.
So, edpi is just a term used to describe overall sensitivity of players' mice for the game. But, we don't need to focus on that. Just getting your perfect sensitivity and knowing the dpi of your mouse is fine.

Its actually a common misconception that Enabled + Boost is better. Enabled turns on Nvidia reflex and enabled + boost is for machines with lower end hardware. Boost allows the card compensate more for the weaker performance. If you have a like 30% gpu power to spare then you dont need boost
