Aslaug has been 'ruler' while ragnar's been away. She is resentful to go back to just raising babies and taking a quiet back seat to her husband. She has tasted the power... Rollo believes this is his destiny that the seer revealed. He has a princess wife, an army, lands, castles and money. His brother can't help him. He has to take this new life opportunity and run with it. To win in this time, you had to be brutal.
it's funny how Micky and Will like Auslug :-) Ragnar treats her like shit all the time and she doesn't like it. But guys expect she has to like it and because she is unhappy she deserves to die :-) When Ragnar says something against her, he's the boss, when she says something against Ragnar she's evil bitch :-)
Yup, many fans just don't understand that Aslaug is pretty much, one of the most loyal and straight characters on the show. Because the way she talks and because she is a somewhat of an "outsider". If they looks pass these things, they can see her for what she really is: Someone who stays loyal even when her life is sad and she's suffering.
squashedeyeball Aslaug loyal 😒.... wasn't she busy sexin' Harbard the "wanderer" whilst leaving her kids to Siggy 🤔 and she died saving them as they nearly drowned in the ice. This is why Ragnar doesn't like her amongst other things, Lagatha would never do that and Ragnar knows it. I won't mention what her attitude is later due to spoilers regarding the care of another child.
It's crunch time! I enjoyed your reaction to the premiere, I'm feeling your pain about not enough time to work on these videos lol. We're planning on being caught up by 5b.
If u know your Viking history u know Rollo is one of the most important figures n Viking and european history most of all the royal family is blood related to Rollo till this day including the current queen of England
And she's wrong. In that day, they wouldn't even see it as rape, because once Gisla was married, she became Rollo's property, to rape or beat as he pleased. No matter if she's a princess or not. Well, in Francia at least. In Rollo's own culture, you don't do that shit to a free woman. Only slaves. Which...still isn't good, but it explains why he wasn't resisting raping her out of fear of the Franks.
Calf stole lagertha's earldom. So she is going to kill him regardless, that's undeniable. So do you sleep with her knowing she is going to kill you? Or do you not sleep with her knowing she is going to kill you? :p
and this is where my dislike of Bjorn begins..... he doesnt care about his daughter because the mother left him??? wtf? but i love this season. you can say a lot of things about ragnar but he always loved his children, even the daughter who died in season 1. even the son who actually chose to leave with his mother.... what the actual fuck, Bjorn????
Yup. Now we really learn that despite Ragnar and Bjorn have many things in similar, Bjorn is a different person. He doesn't care about family as much as Ragnar.
oh come on guys, Bjorn isn't exactly an in touch with your feelings kind of guy as seen when he proposes, but we *Know* he loves Poruun so he obviously loves Siggy. He's just going through a heartbreak and neglects her because she's a reminder plus she's in "good hands". Everyone reacts differently to grief, give him time. And off course he cares about his family, any scene with his half bros or lagertha would prove that. I can understand how this could be the beginning for disliking Bjorn but if you don't like him by episode 11, you and i are gonna have wordssss xD
Bhlack Bishop Spoillers He was a shitty husband to Torvi too thought. leaked Script pages reveal that Trovi gets so done with Bjorn's shit she gets with Ubbe in 5B. I still like Bjorn as a charater just think he's a bad hunsband and father not everyone is cut out to be one.
ROLLLOOO U HAVE BETRAYED UR OWN PEOPLE Suraj like damn i didnt know he would do that Hannah looks at suraj like "damn nigga u serious rn or you fukin with me"
During this time period when royalty/nobility got married they put on special clothes and were wrapped in a bedsheet, then a priest said some prayers and then they left the couple to do their business. They didn't do it in front of them lmao.
actually not true especially to royal weddings ( especially ones that are king and queen) many people were in the room during consummation to make sure it was happening but the sheets were covered sometimes and other times fully visible. Watch reign and Tudors for example. Where Francis and Mary had to have people watching them and he had to make her focus only on him
Sometime in the future if the show ever ens you should read up on the real Rollo and Ragnar its some interesting reading and will give you new thoughts about the things people did in the show
I wonder how your experiences with this season will be different from ours. You are especially watching this season blind , with no trailer bits to go off of. For example. The scene where Bjorn orders the arrest of Floki was in the s4 trailers. You all were super shocked at the order he made. I was not (at the time of my watch). In a lot of ways not seeing the trailers enhances your experiences. But than I think about how much more stocked you all would be about the season overall if you did see... Still would much rather you all stay away from the trailers though.
Hey Micky! Do you think it would be possible to start doing two episodes a week so as to catch up quicker, seeing as the new season premieres this month? Love the discussions by the way. It's refreshing to see the multitude of opinions you guys have.
IT HAS BEGUN!!! Season 4a, brought the acting, writing and cinematography to an even higher level. Season 4 (a+b) might be the best one yet. The Epic is with a capital E for a reason! And yes!! All hail our shield sister Hannah! You're right all along sister, Rollo is the vilest kind of traitor there is! Double crossed his own brother, betrayed his own people! Floki saw right through him since season 1 episode 7... What can we say? Our little son Bjorn is still young...He keeps making mistakes. Grave ones... But, how else can he learn? His mentor and father, our father, Travis lothbrok who shines the universe, will make sure that Bjorn will reach that Epic stage. Oh, regarding the crossbow, they were a very early version. They are far from powerful, but at close range they can to damage, if you don't have enough layer of cloths on you. It's just that in their rush, the Vikings at the end didn't keep the wall tight and the Franks had the higher ground, so they could easily aim for their neck and heads. Later crossbows (Maybe a couple hundred years later), were much more powerful, but they also took much longer to load (Which a pulley device). Regarding Aslaug's origin, weeeellll... Don't read the Ragnar saga since it will spoiler you lol But basically, Aslaug was hidden under the risk of death but when Ragnar encountered her and saw her great beauty, he knew that could only be princess Aslaug. So he married her. And she is Bjorn's mom too lol Btw, Lagertha also had a, weird, backstory (She lived in a cabin that was guarded by a wolf and a bear, which Ragnar killed in order to marry her. Makes sense :)
Eric Riddle when did rollo do any leading? he went up a ladder killed some guys then feel down. had a thing where he stopped the wheel, which mattered little to actually taking paris. taking paris was all ragnars doing.
+I am not The Walrus Yeah, but that was also in the tv version. By what they showed i am not sure which one they're, though I'm leaning towards extended since the, Ragnar circle scene i don't think happened on tv.
You guys should check out the significance of Rollo to understand why perhaps it would be called a "good treason". The real Rollo and Ragnar weren't brothers (and didn't live in the same time period) so you can check out Rollo's information and see that he is a very influential figure in terms of European history which is why the seer spoke of his destiny that way.
In history Rollo is Viking who did go up against France and then was their defender against other Vikings also in most royalty that is still to this day has his bloodline. The most famous was his great great great great great grandson William the Conquer which was very famous in history. Don't forget this is the history channel and in history Ragnar did attack Paris and once he left Paris, paris gave his brother Rolo titles and lands to stay and fight for them. This did actually happen in History. You can look it up in a history book that's what I thinks so cool about this series.
This is not like a documentary. (Read the Wikipedia articles Siege of Paris (845) and Siege of Paris (885) for instance)
Aubrey Crowder Except Ragnar didn't have a brother, and even if he did, that brother certainly was not Rollo as it's not even certain if Ragnar was a real man or just a legend (or even perhaps an amalgamation of multiple men who's stories got blended together to make one grand saga), and if he did live, he would have been born a good several decades before Rollo was born. Now, it *is* historically factual that Rollo was given Normandy by Charles III of West Francia as payment for protecting West Francia. However, he really married Poppa of Bayeux. Gisla/Gisela is said to have been betrothed to him, but they can't find any records of them actually marrying. It's also "said" that she was Charles III's daughter, but they suspect she might have been illegitimate. They're not even sure she actually existed. Still, I suppose the show decided it was more interesting (or more simple) to make her the princess and getting rid of all her sisters (as Charles had six daughters, including Gisela) They didn't really have great records back then so who knows what really happened.
rollo becomes christian in history never proven as ragnar's brother or ragnar was real, but ragnars sons very real!!! sigurd didnt die by ivar sigurd became danish king, ivar died old and rich, bjorn discovered died old rich! ragnar not snakes died shitting self in paris sadly sons used excuse he died by serpents as a rally cry for revenge!! rollo's blood line IS IN the royal british family today...
Lmao, the real Rollo from history is the ancestor of the British Royal Family 😁 and isn’t actually the brother of the real Ragnar Lodbrok from history, he was a Viking though
rollo made his choice last season. he knew full well that the marriage is for him to help paris against ragnar and he chose to do it anyway. what he did is sad and horrible but in no way should be a surprise.
The scene when Rolo killed all his people I liked as one of my favorite scenes on all of Vikings. It makes me respect him that he chose France over the Vikings for once.
that massacre was stupid writing. Had it really occured, Rollo would be left powerless, because his power came from the men he commended (aside from his skills and experience...). and so, why make a deal with him? Rollo (the historical one...) was "gifted" the land and position because he was a commander of men (and a christian...). It was merely the acknowledgement from the king of Frankia of a social reality at the time, and the crafting of an alliance: the northmen living (and pillaging...) here would be left free to prosper on the land in exchange for the protection of the natives and their integration to the power structure in Frankia. It was a compromise for peace on the territory...
Luv ya, Hannah, But Rollo is the boss (aka as the Grandfather of William the Conqueror and there for the direct ancestor of all the Kings & Queens of England!!)
How was Aslaug being spiteful to Bjorn....hes being a bad father and resenting his innocent child hes done absolutely nothing for lol I like him but he wasnt a father to Siggy at all after the day she was born. Aslaug has raised her and tried to be a family with them all but to be fair I dont blame her having enough, Ragnar doesn't love her and neglects her, shes become abit cold now and is clearly done trying to be a family. It's a shame since she wasnt always that way at all, she was kind and generous and really tried to make Bjorn and Ragnar happy, she loved him. So cant blame her for being upset about Bjorns response. Ragnar with all his faults as a husband, has always been a doting father, always playing and hugging his boys whenever he is home and not raiding, he loves his children more than anyone.
Tell Hannah what a big personality Rollo is and how he contribute to evolution. She's just a hatefull....sorry, but i can't say this. Had to watch her everytime say shitty things about him. He did what de had to do to gain trust, to have a greater future. He thought with his mind, no his heart.
We’ve come a long way fella’s (and lady). Feels like it was just yesterday Ragnar was showing that sunstone to Rollo. .
That map that Bjorn has is The Roman Empire.
Man I love S4. It's probably the most emotionally tumultuous ergo I cry lots and I live for that shit.
20:48 Hannah gave them the suck it look lol.
NoHo Shaz I also think Aslaug feels underappreciated by Ragnar.
it's funny how Micky and Will like Auslug :-) Ragnar treats her like shit all the time and she doesn't like it. But guys expect she has to like it and because she is unhappy she deserves to die :-) When Ragnar says something against her, he's the boss, when she says something against Ragnar she's evil bitch :-)

xxdavecz Right,Aslaug has good reason to not like Ragnar at this point he treats her like shit.
squashedeyeball Aslaug loyal 😒.... wasn't she busy sexin' Harbard the "wanderer" whilst leaving her kids to Siggy 🤔 and she died saving them as they nearly drowned in the ice. Here we go, S4 hype!!
SiTHFuRioN so you react to videos while watching people react to the same videos
SiTHFuRioN just a secret I liked how u did your viking series sithfurion more then the normies.
It's crunch time! I enjoyed your reaction to the premiere, I'm feeling your pain about not enough time to work on these videos lol. We're planning on being caught up by 5b.

All the guys visibly cringe imagining the pain of your balls getting cut off Hannah just smiles
If u know your Viking history u know Rollo is one of the most important figures n Viking and european history most of all the royal family is blood related to Rollo till this day including the current queen of England
"Nothing gets past you, Ubbe." NOPE!! #TeamUbbe
Only slaves. you guys just wait >;) 4b you'll be in vikings heaven... i mean Valhalla
NothingButBlade Nice one 😂.👍👌
" Ragnar is coming " I love it
Rollo knows that the way to win the Princess's heart is to patiently wait for her.
13:09 Gisla spits in Frankish
In real life Rollo and a large group of northmen settled in what would later become Normandy.
For me this was the first time I was ever not okay with Rollo. I didn't care about him killing one eye. LOL😂😂
Lol Hannah on point
Calf stole lagertha's earldom. So she is going to kill him regardless, that's undeniable. So do you sleep with her knowing she is going to kill you? Or do you not sleep with her knowing she is going to kill you? :p
idiot number3 just kill her straight of the bat
To this day that’s fucking hilarious 😂
and this is where my dislike of Bjorn begins..... he doesnt care about his daughter because the mother left him??? wtf?
but i love this season.
you can say a lot of things about ragnar but he always loved his children, even the daughter who died in season 1. even the son who actually chose to leave with his mother.... what the actual fuck, Bjorn????
Yup. Now we really learn that despite Ragnar and Bjorn have many things in similar, Bjorn is a different person. He doesn't care about family as much as Ragnar.
Bjorn is a horrible father and husband imo.
oh come on guys, Bjorn isn't exactly an in touch with your feelings kind of guy as seen when he proposes, but we *Know* he loves Poruun so he obviously loves Siggy. Oh man I hadn't even thought about it like that. Little Siggy hasn't had enough air time for me to remember her yet lol
Bhlack Bishop Spoillers
He was a shitty husband to Torvi too thought. leaked Script pages reveal that Trovi gets so done with Bjorn's shit she gets with Ubbe in 5B. I still like Bjorn as a charater just think he's a bad hunsband and father not everyone is cut out to be one.
House Normandy
Me as a fan of the show: damn it Rollo
Me as a Frenchman: fuck yeah Rollo
please more vikings!!
ROLLLOOO U HAVE BETRAYED UR OWN PEOPLE
Suraj like damn i didnt know he would do that
Hannah looks at suraj like "damn nigga u serious rn or you fukin with me"
Lol hehe Well, Suraj is staying loyal to the ones he love :)
But yeah, Rollo is a piece of filth since season :)
During this time period when royalty/nobility got married they put on special clothes and were wrapped in a bedsheet, then a priest said some prayers and then they left the couple to do their business. They didn't do it in front of them lmao.

A good episode to remind Hannah of why she doesn't like Rollo. :)
#RolloYouPieceOfShit :)
Can I just say how much I loved Hannah's "I told you so" expression! ♡ U Hannah!
Oh, sweet sweet Ivar.
4A is my least favourite season of Vikings, but this episode was still easily the best premiere yet.
grippingrope99 you mean like the whole season 4 or the first half of season 4
Just the first half, I actually really like the second half
grippingrope99 yeah totally agree with you
He said “you’re a traitor” that dude out of the camp said yeet.
Ah love the lights, really feels more like to the season we are heading :)
Sometime in the future if the show ever ens you should read up on the real Rollo and Ragnar its some interesting reading and will give you new thoughts about the things people did in the show
Its about this point where rolo is becoming one of my top characters
Rollo = Tywin Lannister
I wonder how your experiences with this season will be different from ours. You are especially watching this season blind , with no trailer bits to go off of. For example. Kamina 1 ikr i bingewatched season 1-4 and then I wanted to see the season 5 trailer but then I thiught well I loved being able to go in blind
Well considering that Rollo is the ancestor of the Plantaganet kings of England this should really come as no surprise.
PERFECT BIRTHDAY PRESENT TY SURAJ OR MICKIE OR NAHID
got you fam. Happy Birthday!
Hey Micky! Do you think it would be possible to start doing two episodes a week so as to catch up quicker, seeing as the new season premieres this month? Love the discussions by the way. It's refreshing to see the multitude of opinions you guys have.
Happy birthday fellow Northman!
There are coming a few slow episodes with Jidu but after that its going to be hilarious
IT HAS BEGUN!!!
Season 4a, brought the acting, writing and cinematography to an even higher level. Season 4 (a+b) might be the best one yet. The Epic is with a capital E for a reason!

Season 4 Hype!
lol Pat: "Asslaug"
Uh, guys. I don't think this was the extended/uncensored version. I'm pretty sure only the tv version has the 'H' at the bottom.
well i mean there's a scene with a child dead
+I am not The Walrus Yeah, but that was also in the tv version. By what they showed i am not sure which one they're, though I'm leaning towards extended since the, Ragnar circle scene i don't think happened on tv.
For Season 4 , i really hope you guys upload it 2 episodes per weeks
Suraj why you fuuuq with the lighting??? Haha
Also I’d challenge you to connect four anytime brah!!!
You guys should check out the significance of Rollo to understand why perhaps it would be called a "good treason". And Lagertha has already been cleaved by a trickster, aka fucked.
In history Rollo is Viking who did go up against France and then was their defender against other Vikings also in most royalty that is still to this day has his bloodline. The most famous was his great great great great great grandson William the Conquer which was very famous in history. Also the thing with Ragnar in the coffin was a part of his son story in the real history that was Bjorn Ironside. Don't if you guys and girls play any the Assassin Creed Valhalla is a bit during the Viking age also the DLC is what you seen in Paris which was called The Siege of Paris
such a good show
Please continue Vikings
JBlaze The King nah, we're just gonna stop here
A good treason premiere.
I saw the alphabet in the background... we 3 letters more in Scandinavia: Æ, Ø and Å
Reaction starts tomorrow
I felt bad when everyone was throwing crap at Floki while he was chained up in town.
Don't forget this is the history channel and in history Ragnar did attack Paris and once he left Paris, paris gave his brother Rolo titles and lands to stay and fight for them. This did actually happen in History. You can look it up in a history book that's what I thinks so cool about this series.

And then Ivar became the most popular Viking of all time
rollo becomes christian in history never proven as ragnar's brother or ragnar was real, but ragnars sons very real!!! sigurd didnt die by ivar sigurd became danish king, ivar died old and rich, bjorn discovered died old rich! ragnar not snakes died shitting self in paris sadly sons used excuse he died by serpents as a rally cry for revenge!! rollo's blood line IS IN the royal british family today...
Lol the David Chappell reference
Thank you SO much!!!

Please, please make it two a week! You'll get to watch s5 in time!
Hell yeah.
"I dont like her at all" Season 4's motto
THERE ARE NORMIE FUNKO POPS?!!! Holy shit! Hook a brother out on some knowledge. Let me help a Normie out!
Jelani Providence they're "custom" pops
Lmao, the real Rollo from history is the ancestor of the British Royal Family 😁 and isn’t actually the brother of the real Ragnar Lodbrok from history, he was a Viking though
rollo made his choice last season. he knew full well that the marriage is for him to help paris against ragnar and he chose to do it anyway. what he did is sad and horrible but in no way should be a surprise.
Avatar?
The scene when Rolo killed all his people I liked as one of my favorite scenes on all of Vikings. It makes me respect him that he chose France over the Vikings for once.
watching these reactions has made hannah my favorite.
Dont listen to the season 4 haters. I love this season, it gets so good!

Craig Roberts no offence but game of thrones has become predictable cliche an all out feminist cuck propaganda #killstormbourne
S5 is coming it will avenge us
that massacre was stupid writing.

just finished the episode and goddamit if hannah wasn't right about rollo, he really got me for a second there.
Luv ya, Hannah, But Rollo is the boss (aka as the Grandfather of William the Conqueror and there for the direct ancestor of all the Kings & Queens of England!!)
Good treason premiere

Are u going to up Avatar today?
Y'all should watch Hannibal if you get a chance ^^
you guys do need to speed it up a little! ;) pretty please?
Fuckin Rolo.
anyone else in these comments straight -

How was Aslaug being spiteful to Bjorn....hes being a bad father and resenting his innocent child hes done absolutely nothing for lol I like him but he wasnt a father to Siggy at all after the day she was born. Ragnar with all his faults as a husband, has always been a doting father, always playing and hugging his boys whenever he is home and not raiding, he loves his children more than anyone.
