I lost significant ground by stopping Pyru around the time after that “negative” study took place. Since then I’ve been on RU for a month and have improved hair growth but I’m noticing some minor side effects so I’m going back on Pyru. The confusing thing about the study is just how many hairs the placebo group grew. Pyru still showed significant regrowth, similar to that of Fin and Minoxidil. So based on that we would also consider those two treatments as failures. I’m going back on Fin, Min and Pyru, micro needling,as that is what gave me the best results.
@@Jim-oc3sp I put them on separately. I’m only taking oral fin every other day or so at .5/.75 and now pyru as well as Microneedling and topical minoxidil

I’m using topical finasteride along with a caffeine shampoo that has dramatically decreased shedding months before I started the topical finasteride. I’ve noticed quite a bit of hair density occur. The problem is I’m not seeing much if any of my miniaturized hair increasing in length. Since it took many years for the miniaturized hairs to get this short, is there a possibility that they will lengthen, but take years to get back to normal length? I know this has to do with follicles getting smaller, so can they reverse back to normal with treatment. If not, are there treatment to reverse the miniaturized or length of hair/follicle size? I have androgenetic allopecia.
also keep in mind, fin will prevent further hair loss but its not known to be a growth stimulant.. u might need to add minox to trigger those hairs to regrow

Brother I did my hair transplant exactly 14 months ago. I had great results after 10-12 months and I enjoyed the new hairline because it framed my face really well. However I went off finasteride briefly and stopped prp’s as well. During this time I had high levels of stress since I moved from India to Canada. After closely looking at my hairline and comparing it to older pics it’s very evident that I’ve lost transplanted hair at the hairline. How is that possible when the transplanted hair is DHT resistant? Also if I start finas again would I be able to regrow the lost hair at my hairline?
You don’t need to quit Fin unless you don’t experience some adverse effects. After stopping it you might experience very rapid loss because hairs got sensitized to DHT during Fin treatment. In this sense, as you said your transplanted hairline are not sensitive to DHT, so this shedding can be caused by other benign things such as stress. No worries, just optimize your sleep, food, so your lifestyle. You can consider starting finasteride or even dutasteride to prevent further loss.
@@WilanderDSouza many other causes may be the point. This can be a part of hair cycle. So let’s hope for the best. I don’t think those DHT resistant follicles got affected because you stopped fin. I recommend you to contact with the clinic or see a dermatologist to discuss this problem. Lastly again, moving from a country and other stress reasons may result in a shock loss. Consider starting fin to prevent further loss, optimize your lifestyle (sleep, exercise, diet) and watch your results.
Truth be told, I am considering adding this to my stack. I still think it is possible the phase III trials were a fluke. The placebo performed unusually well. We've got more upcoming data too so I still have hope for this one.
I disagree partially. Nothing really grows your hair back to normal, unless you catch it SUPER early. However, you can 100% maintain and strengthen your hair with fin & min etc. it’s not all in vain
For years I'd've been happy with maintenance, and just about still would be. I'm NW2.5, veering towards 3 and 49y/o. I've been on Fin since age 26 and Dut for last few years. But I'm still losing. Tried RU for a while mixed with Stemox but didn't really give it enough time - no sides tho. Have I any reason to believe Pyri might work, given I haven't achieved maintenance with the above (all including minox 5% btw)?
If you still loosing on Dut - i have doubts about dht involved in your hair loss case. have you checked you thyroid hormones? iron level? maybe some band environment factor?
I would love to use this, but I've got a young son at home, and the last thing I want to do is contaminate him with a DHT-lowering drug. DHT is what causes boy to mature to men and increase your eggplant size.
