I used this tent on a 2 week motorcycle tour covering 4000 miles through the Western USA. I recommend it!! It is a little more costly than some of the others out there, BUT! You get what you pay for. In this tent you get excellent quality and reliability. Tons of room for all your gear. I especially liked the fact that I could stand up to get dressed, either in the tent or garage portion. I would recommend bringing some extra para cord, to put in the garage portion, I used the cord to hang my towel at night. I have used both the Solo and the Atacama they perform equally well. Packing size is about the same for both. Yes it is a larger pack size, but to me that's a minor issue versus comfort. It sets up very easily, remember to peg the sleep side first into the wind, then after all the poles are in place, grab the anchor points on the garage end and pull it up, its like a parachute of sorts, boom a couple of more pegs on the garage end and your set! Enjoy.

I had a large comment. Deleted it.
Short version. It is a great tent. But damn what a large packingsize. To be honest ? Almost to big and heavy for me.
But once standing it gives you a lot of comfort.
Breaking it down and getting it in the bag again i find it a hazzle. Everytime. Sometimes when waking up around 4 a clock. My first thought is. Man, do i really in a couple of hours have to do that all again ?
But everything has a positive and a negative not ?
O yeah, make sure to tie it down with stakes. After coming back from a shit my tent was gone. Had to retreive it almost from 500 meter away.😇

I have compared this tent with the Lone Rider Moto tent and from what I can see they are nearly identical in material, weight and layout, but the Redverz tents have the HD rainproof air vents(so important) on the tops and the tie cord pockets that are so convenient .. The Moto tent has a larger sleeping area for 2 people, but the Redverz is $100 less and you can upgrade to the larger Atacama that sleeps 3 for (still)slightly less than the Lone Rider, but weighs 2lbs more(for those who care). It really comes comes down to the carrying bag and in my opinion one of the key features of protecting your investment..

Has redverz stopped making the solo ? I just went to their website and I can find the atacama expedition but not the solo. The only thing that I could find find for the solo is the two groundsheets.

I'm considering this tent. Please tell me....Can you guy out the sleeping end further around the smaller door? Because, looking at the tent, I wonder if the fly sheet will touch the inner tent if the conditionas are wet and windy.

Hi Graham, The inner sleeping tent is attached to the outer with a hook and loop that has a 4" standoff, so however the outer tent is guy roped out this standoff will be there. There are guy ropes at the sleeping end also. Thanks Redverz

Maybe fit an adult and a 6-year-old child in Solo okay?

The Solo Sleep area is 40" wide, we've slept with a young child in their before, but remember if space is tight in the sleeping area, you can always add a garage floor groundsheet to the Solo tents, then you have enough space to sleep another 3 people!
