Hi, do you recommend using a clearinghouse for electronic claim submission when you are billing for a PT. I didn’t hear you mention it in your video.

lina tamous it depends on the volume of claims. I have some clients who are starting with one or two claims a week and then their case it’s better to just submit paper claims or use the MAC portal. But from a time efficiency perspective I would say once you’re up around 10 claims a week you should be submitting through a clearinghouse and receiving electronic payment remittance advice.

I'm really nervous about going cash based. The area I want to serve is low income (Flint, MI) I have a friend who serves the higher income sections of this area and she even needed to switch to taking insurances. I supervise a pro bono clinic in this area but there's a greater need. I would like my practice to focus mainly on neuro and peds which I think makes cash based even less likely.

how do you start a home health PT/OT practice without being a therapist. I have a OT and PT that are interested in teaming up. How do I make it legal without being a therapist?

@@LearnMedicareBilling Hello Anthony. I currently own and operate a outpatient PT practice and am looking to add ‘home based’ outpatient services. I’d like to speak to you on this if at all possible. Not sure if you did a course on this. I’m looking to make sure I’m in compliance with Medicare to start this. Please let me know and I can compensate you for your time and direction. Thank you.

@@LearnMedicareBilling Is it possible to venmo or paypal you the fee for the 15 minute call? It’s asking for credit card information on that link and I’d just as soon pay you upfront via PayPal or Venmo if at all possible?
