@@nexgeo1 They are talking about the victims from one of the destroyed houses. A mom was driving towards her home when she saw the aircraft a little bit far away hitting the house. She drove there and the whole was destroyed. It turned out her son escaped in time but all the others in the house perished. May the victims Rest In Peace🕊️

Scary fact: When the Piper plane collided with Aeromexico plane, the stabilizer not only destroyed the small plane, also decapitated the three occupants, killing them instantly.
at least they had the quick way out
Piper pilot was a Physician heading to their home in Big Bear, with daughter and wife. He suffered a heart attack and went straight into the DC-9

this episode (Out of Sight) has a lot of mistakes
1- they show the MD-80, but it was actually a DC-9-30
2-the color of Piper N4891F was not Green,Blue,White, it was actually white with yellow lines
3-during the uncontrollable descent of Flight 498 you will clearly see the name of the plane, it is written LEON, in fact the XA-JED was called HERMOSILLO, put slow motion at 0:37 minutes, and put the video at 1080, you'll see the name LEON
4-at the same moment that the fake XA-JED was plummeting to the ground, it is turning to the left side, but when it hits the ground it appears turning to the right side.
but ACI's animation has improved over the years , animation has improved a lot from season 12 onwards .
OMG FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO HAS NOTICED ALL THE HORRIBLE INACCURACIES IN THIS ANIMATION!!! It’s always driven me mad that they use an MD-82 instead of a DC-9-32. As a matter fact, I’ve noticed in almost every air crash investigation episode that involves a DC-9, there’s always some inaccuracy with the model. Sometimes they just flat out show an MD-80, and sometimes they show a DC-9 with strange hybrid features of an MD-80. Like an incorrect tail or wings. This animation in particular is probably the worst of them all. The Weather Channel’s Why Planes Crash episode Collision Course shows a much much much more accurate depiction of this event. For one, they use the exact right plane. It’s a DC-9-32, and though the resolution is usually poor quality, you can just make out the correct tail registration. They also present the Piper in the correct livery. And the sequence of events is much more accurate, and more realistic. It depicts the Piper and DC-9 colliding at the correct angle, and then the DC-9 rolls to the right and begins to pitch downward until it’s inverted, and in a steep dive. Not the ridiculous (and inconsistent) corkscrewing barrel roll to the left that this animation shows. It’s much closer to what the eyewitness accounts said. Unfortunately, the Why Planes Crash animation doesn’t actually depict the impact of the ground, but I can live with that. What I also like, is that they show the collision from multiple different angles, and the animation isn’t super exaggerated and unrealistic like ACI always is. Anyway, I’m just glad to know that I’m not the only one who’s as passionate (and anal retentive) about this particular crash.
And do you know what the strangest error in this animation is? The fact that tail registration LEON N1003P ironically enough belonged to an Aeromexico DC-9-32... so basically... the animators royally screwed up... They had an animation that involved a DC-9-32, but somehow ended using an MD-82, with a DC-9-32’s registration... Which didn’t happen to be the correct registration for the plane involved in the accident… like how hard would it have been just to do a little more research? LMAO WTF?!?

In Mexico Flight 498 was a beautiful day when the two planes collided it's unbelievable that the tower control didn't tell them there was another plan ahead of them after that the collided the beach craft strike the dc9s tail it's unbelievable but right guys

The sad thing is Japan airlines flight 123 actually kept there aircraft in the air longer while this one went fully down. It does make sense because flight 123 is bigger and flight 498 was smaller it’s still weird though
They still had the horizontal stabilizer though in JAL 123 so it was more manageable in terms of altitude.. But the Aeromexico flight is a DC-9 whose horizontal stabilizers were attached to the vertical stabilizer, so when the latter got ripped off the latter came, leading to immediate loss of control.
