✈️WHY DID THESE DISASTERS OCCUR?
Air Florida Flight 90 struggled to climb and collided with a bridge over the Potomac immediately after takeoff. This was due to the pilots failing to de-ice the engines properly in the snowy weather.
Alaska Airlines Flight 261 experienced a malfunction with the horizontal stabilizer which made the plane pitch down uncontrollably. The plane's second dive caused it to violently impact the ocean, making survival impossible for all souls onboard. The plane flew inverted before impact, this was an action of the heroic pilots trying anything to keep the plane from diving.
Japan Airlines Flight 123 experience an explosion soon after takeoff due to the aft pressure bulkhead failing. Incorrect repairs after a tail strike seven years prior caused it to weaken. The blast damaged vital instruments and the tail detached, making the 747SR almost uncontrollable. The startled pilots heroically kept the plane in the air for half an hour. #jal123
Air France 447 was providing false speed readings for the pilots due to some instruments freezing. Not knowing what speed they were at, they incorrectly pitched the plane upwards, causing the speed to reduce and the plane was sent into an unrecoverable stall over the Atlantic. #af447
The Tenerife Airport Disaster occured due to a KLM 747 taking off without permission, colliding with a fully loaded PAN AM. Both planes were diverted to this airport and weather conditions were extremely misty, making it too late for the KLM to abort the takeoff once the PAN AM was in sight.
Rest In Peace to all people lost in these disasters.
Lessons learned following these disasters have made aviation much safer for us today.

Supsnail, I have been thinking about this for a long time since this series has begun. I want so badly for a plane crash recreation RUclipsr to recreate real crashes but with RC planes. I understand it might be expensive, but I really want this to carry out.
(just a suggestion) it would be cool if you redid Tenerife
I can only imagine how hard it must have been to find all those pieces after the Japan 123 one
Surprisingly I managed to find everything, which doesn't usually happen when I make videos lol. I try to never waste a single brick, all gets rebuilt

Fun fact:50 people survived the crash of JAL 123 but sadly the rescue mission was delayed because they thought no one would survive the crash.
Yeah it's pretty sad but I never knew it was FIFTY people! That's even worse!
Same I thought it was wayyy less
"Fun fact" yea sure
I heard it was due to the Japanese Air Force not acting on a USAF reconaissance teams observation they found the plane and saw some survivors.
The accident site was deep in the mountains where no one normally goes near. In addition, the crashed plane was on fire, so rescuers were unable to descend by helicopter and had to wait until nightfall to get there on foot.
Some things wrong with the Tenerife reenactment here:
1. The two planes didn’t taxi to the terminal apron, but parked on the taxiway just short of the runway, Pan Am 1736 parked right behind KLM 4805. The apron was so full of planes, that all later incoming aircraft were forced to park on the taxiway.
2. No, both planes didn’t line up on opposite ends of the runway facing each other. In reality, the Pan Am lined up behind the KLM, and both taxied in the same direction along the runway. After reaching the end of the runway, the KLM aircraft made a 180 turn, facing in the opposite direction of the Pan Am, which was still taxiing down the runway.
Aha, thanks. I knew it'd be impossible to make these recreations without some mistakes, and thanks for finding them ;)

2 things wrong with jal123.
1. JAL123's tail fell probably in the Japan Sea. Not in the grassy mountains.
2. JAL123's whole vertical stabilizer didn't fall apart. Only some of the tail broke off. But it's still good! Also, RIP to everyone who died on those five flights.
People have pointed out the second thing, but I never knew the tail fell in the sea, nobody has ever mentioned that. Thanks, I'll try to improve in future videos 👍

I'm Japanese, but I think it's great that this incident was recreated with Lego.I hope this incident will be preserved for future generations.
Thank you so much,
Rip to those lost
Sad thing about that incident is that there could have been more lives saved, had the Japanese authority not declined the US Military's offer to send their helicopters to search the area for survivors and waited until the morning. Why the captain decided to go back to Haneda, rather than Nagoya which was closer, or not land at the US military base on the way (they offered) is also a mystery.

I finally found out how the KLM plane ended up crashing after colliding with the Pan Am plane in Tenerife. I didn't know that prior to the impact the Dutch plane had suffered a tail strike similar to the one JAL Flight 123 would have a year later.
I hope you can share a recreation of the Turkish Flight 981 accident or the Air France Concorde accident.
It's nice that you found out something new 😉 Also I am interested in possibly making the concorde crash with the new concorde set lol

Something not very know about the last disaster is that the cockpit dint break in to pieces it rolled and it pinned the two pilots in the black box data on a website (which has been taken down) u could hear it and they were talking on what they could of done differently they realized they couldn’t of done anything different wile taking off except pull up and hope for the best the pilot said”I don’t think there was anything else we could’ve done” co pilot “I think ur right but how many are dead” pilot probably a lot” co pilot ya don’t say” then it went quiet for 20 min rescuers would find them dead each holding on to the others hand and reabar investigators assume they were trying to free either each other or only one either way neither survived
If this is real then this is unbelievable, I have never known this before. I thought all people died soon after the impact - in the fire. Some of those details are chilling, I cannot imagine the trauma. Thanks for the informative comment
They knew they weren’t gonna make it so they just started talking on what they could of done differently without even talking about the rebar in there guts cause they knew they were dead but they wanted to try witch is why they were left in the plane wile other bodies were recovered or survivors rescued they were some of the last few to be pulled from the wreckage I genuinely cried listening to it but it was sorta holesome because by the sound of there voices and just talking wile there’s a chunk of metal in there gut it’s tragic but holsome in a way they just dint care all they cared about was who survived and what could they of done differently
Nice video. I enjoyed the destructive crashes
