i expected a video about how to figure out beats and rhythm but instead learned something about intervals. nice subversion of expectations :D thanks a lot, that was super helpful ^^ i guess the last puzzle piece for me rn is to understand why exactly scale shapes work ... i assume it's related to this interval theory, but i got no intuition for it, yet
I think it should be 1-b2-2-b3-3-4-b5-5-b6-6-b7-7 This is called scale degrees and makes the counting more based on the major scale, making al the flat numbers just minor intervals. For example: In C major, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 would be C-D-E-F-G-A-B, while b2-b3-b5-b6-b7 would be Db-Eb-Gb-Ab-Bb. Ab is a minor sixth from C, so that would make it b6.
Really helpful mate, made things so simple and short 💯🎸

Glad it helped you learn an important simple concept
