Why Cartoon Network Invaded Disney+

  • Disney+ just added Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon shows to their streaming service, along with a bunch of other titles you would never expect to be paired with Mickey Mouse. In a world where Adventure Time, Regular Show, Rick & Morty, Drake & Josh, and more are on Disney+, what's going on? Why did Hulu combine with Disney's streaming service?

Overe here we dont have Hulu or any other Streaming Service which offers CN Show. You can only buy single Episodes or Seasons of a very few selected Show. They did however upload a few Shows like Adventure Time, Gumball and Clarance on RUclips. But not all of it. And Shows like Steven Universe and Regular Show are completely missing. So i hope they put these Shows on our Disney+ as well

First they invaded Nick during their prime, now they've invaded Disney during it's darkest hour. Quite an accomplishment. Seriously though, the fact that you can watch these shows on Disney+ is just so surreal, it really feels like Disney owns everything now, even though they don't actually own the shows.

The real reason why Cartoon Network invaded Disney+ is because of the Disney+/Hulu merger. Everyone was right about the merger (me included). That means I can watch shows like The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Codename: KND, and many others. It may be the beginning of a new era for Disney+ and Hulu, but if everyone is excited about it, it's because I'll always remember when streaming takes one step ahead of the game.

It's unreal to say the least. But the same time, the merging of Hulu and Disney+(even if they're remaining as seperate apps for the time being) seems like an inevitable move. Interesting, I honestly did not expect all that to be on Hulu. Then again I'm completely unfamiliar with the service, Hulu doesn't exist over here in Europe at all, and I dont even think it exists outside of the US. All the content thats on Hulu in the USA like the Futurama revival and shows like FX's "The Bear" are already on Disney+ by default here. I dont have Disney+ myself so this is just based on what I've seen with ads and seen in this video from screenshots. The Streaming landscape is very different here in European countries than it is in the United States of America.

Here's what I envision: Hulu becomes the next Max (only without cutting their programs) with hubs labelled after 20th and Searchlight Pictures combined mixed in with Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures (or Fox if they do manage to buy the Fox trademark from Fox Corporation), Marvel, Disney, A&E Networks, Lucasfilm and Pixar.

I'm a Canadian so I still have to pirate, unless Disney can make all Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network content available so that I don't have to pirate, I'd pay 20 dollars a month just to have even 90% of my childhood on Disney+ along with other shows I like, honestly if Disney+ can become the all in one streaming service without needing a billion streaming services (most of which american exclusive) nor needing pirating sites and make everything available worldwide, I'd pay 20 bucks a month, but this bundle is american exclusive sadly so that means I have to pirate, now granted I don't mind pirating but only cause I can't afford stuff, but I will sometimes take the chance with my money and purchase something, but yeah, movies and shows are getting easier to stream at least, and as for videogames, I have to wait till console gaming dies and PC and VR are the only way to game and thus emulation may become more ok or maybe history of games will be ported, who knows, till then, I need to survive

Disney's already unchecked, I fear they'll just throw even more medias into their vault, not to mention stopping any revivals or adult reimaginings (ex. Samurai Jack)
