In my opinion, no one questioned her as an officer, but seeing her party on Canal Street the day after the incident, smiling and having fun, was disturbing. She isn't the only one at fault, though. Others were responsible for letting the football game continue just 24 hours later, which disrespected the victims of the brutal attack. The fact that blood and brain matter were washed away for the sake of a football game the next day is appalling. At that moment, it was all about the money, not the victims.

I totally understand your well thought out and heartfelt expressed sentiments. She is a lady who has a very tough job to do, and a part of her responsibility is to restore order as soon as possible whenever chaos occurs. The march at Bourbon began with prayer and a tribute to the victims. During the entire march, prayers for protection, peace, comfort, healing, and restoration were going forth. It was a very somber and tear filled moment. Music is an intricate part of New Orleans culture and usually accompanies our funeral processions. In no way was anyone on that day minimizing nor disrespecting those who either lost their lives, those who were injured, or their families. It's just a way of life here. That said, I fully understand your point and pray that you know that our chief's heart broke when this occurred, and she and our entire city are still grieving with the families of all the victims.

I'm born and still live in New Orleans. Ever since this lady been in office, the crimes that she claim would cease escalate worst than ever. She rather stop crime when Taylor Swift come to town or the sugarbowl all of a sudden protection is overwhelming. She not from our city and she is not fit to be over police department not the safety of our people and visitors. He doesn't speak for me. Resign your position Kirkpatrick and get out of our home. Quick you are not needed no longer. You failed your department on a world stage and endangered the people. Goodbye.

The police chief admitted she had no idea what her arsenal was as far as tools to prevent driving attacks. Then was like “ we put the archers out so all is good”
She needs to be replaced, how did she not research all of her options for safety measures BEFORE the sugar bowl weekend?
