The landscaping in front of the house looks fantastic! Nice work. I had the same size drum mower several years ago, and really enjoyed it. The swath that it laid out was perfect for raking or tedding with a haybob, or 8-9' side delivery rake. I'm excited for your upcoming hay season! Best of luck with everything!

When you install the hydraulic lift, please use caution on any sloped ground. Lifting that mower (heavy) with that size tractor will really upset your tractor balance and center of gravity. Lift on flat ground. Drum mowers are fantastic hay mowers…you’ll love it!

Oh yeah I'm always on a hill at my place. It's constant caution for me lol 👍👍

At least I know I can cut hay easy. Baling it with the ol baler might be a different story haha

I like the tiller attachment But. It kills all the fishing worms need to produce natural fertilizer for the garden. Yes later.

CJ what gear pattern worked best with the 4040 and that cutter?

My field was extra thick for this first cut. I think I was in 2nd range switching back and forth from 4th and 3rd gear
