He hits you when you think you're safe. He throws one extra at close range when most fighters have their chin up in the air, ready to exit. Shot selection on point!
You can't just learn grappling like that, he'd be going up against people who have DECADES of experience in grappling. His measly couple of years of training wouldn't save him from being eaten alive by guys like Usman and Colby.
The thing that makes me think he can be quite successful at the top of MMA is because he excels when the fight gets chaotic. He loves to throw shots in close range/clinch and with his power, that could be a death sentence. Think DC vs Stipe 1.
yea but he want to be a star you know , he want to prove he's the best ,he want to choc the world , and even if kickboxing is a great sport , i love it personally , i started to watch k1 in 98 before mma so i realy love it , but the fact is mma is more famous , and thats the real deal , so i understand his choice , but now with covid i dont know how he will do the transition before geting too older , he have to fight groenhart , after that he will be 29 , we'll see , but i still want to watch him in ufc , to see if he can do it , because im pretty sure he can , adesanya did it so
@@golumskill1531 hi. I like Doumbe. His striking is spectacular, but he and Adesanya have some key differences. Izzy always wanted to go into MMA, Eugene made him fight in kickboxing first because he needed experience. This meant that Adesanya’s fighting style has always been more or less tailored for MMA and the threat of the takedown. From watching Doumbe, if he uses his stances that he has right now, it would be easy to take him down. This is also important due to weight choice. 185 doesn’t have that many wrestlers. They can wrestle, but they don’t like to. This has always been the case, look at Anderson Silva. However, just like how Striking has been the historically dominant fighting style of the middleweights, wrestling has been the dominant style of the welterweights, from guys like Matt Hughes, GSP, Shields, Usman, Covington, etc. and Doumbe would be fighting in welterweight division. It would be hard to come by a striker who can truly prosper in the welterweight division. Stephen Thompson fought strikers and his wrestling is taught by THE Chris Weidman. Jorge Masvidal has also be tailor fighting strikers or people with zero striking ability. As soon as he met a person with both, like Usman, he gets dominated.
@@yanyanzhang5813 dont worry for his ground game , he said he would never talk too much before doing the job , he work since few years now with the best coaches in mma , the best wrestlers , and he say he is a sponge , every moove is easy to learn for him and he is doing pretty well . i believe it.
@@TheKickboxingCommunity i know Wilnis and Belgaroui also beat Pereira but thats a long time ago,Doumbe only need 1 fight in the welter weight against Groenhart and he have nothing to prove anymore there
Dude the size difference is huge. pereirra is a huge middle weight while Doumbe is a small welterweight pereira realistically should be fighting at light heavyweight bc he cuts a lot to make middle weight!

Nowadays french rap is so poor... and always autotuned !
Look for IAM, NTM, Stomy Bugsy, Neg' marrons, Arsenik, la clinique, etc...
@@Barnabe51Reims It's definetely not the worst imo, French is a good rap language

Can we put Cedric in the top 5 kickboxers?
In my opinion yes, the welterweight has all kinds of beasts and Cedric has won from everyone already
African power 💪😁

Teach him some grappling, takedown defense, etc. He’d be solid

He should stay in kickboxing and help strengthen ... If he goes to MMA then it is a loss for the sport of kickboxing

@@golumskill1531 UFC signs dudes in their 30s pretty often. He can make a transition and put 10 years into MMA if he wants and still safely retire.
