I started using a mixture of bentonite clay, diatomaceous earth and zeolite for brushing my teeth last week(ration 1:1:1). I dip my toothbrush in the dry clay mixture and then brush my teeth as I would normally. Thing is, I had some brown marks/stains on some teeth for about 3 years. By the end of the week, I noticed that some of the stains were smaller in size. Great for the tongue too.
Today, one tooth is clear of the stains, the rest have smaller stains. In just one week. All my teeth look whiter too. I am very impressed. I tried turmeric and that did nothing for me, and I ended up with the stains after I mistakenly used a turmeric and cinnamon mixture on my teeth.
By the way, I used the combo for 3 months to clear intestinal issues, and toxins. This stuff is really good. I might never spend a dime on toothpaste ever again. My teeth feel clean and smooth.
Now I want to use it on my face and body.
Definitely trying this combo
Woohoo what a great idea to dip in dry clay mixture. Sounds much easier to do. I’m going to try it out as well. Glad to hear your teeth are pearly white now.
1:1:1 ratio as in teaspoon? Zeolite powder or liquid?
@@nanapoku5259 Whatever rocks your boat.
By pouring in the water, it is cooling the coconut oil and turning it into a solid, if you heat the water slightly, that won't happen. This will also make it easier to mix, as it will be runnier or softer.
This is a good tip!! Thank you
Clay is a blessing, weather cleaning teeth, hair, exfoliating skin, or making medicine, clay eases morning sickness, and makes beautiful pottery. Clay and humans go way back.
Clay is absolutely a blessing. Earth creates magic for us.
@@motherfreedom can i substitute the coconut oil with different oil?
@@iicii77 what kind of oil are you thinking to use instead?
Cinnamon is adorable
I pretty much use everything she have up on here except I don’t add water or salt and I add neem and activated charcoal to my mix
Neem, what a great idea to add!

Thank you. I’m going to make this tomorrow. And I love your necklace 😇
Yay! Hope you enjoy it.
Thank you a local lady made my necklace out here
also fluoride which is really bad, wow that far would last a year for me!
nice english accent.. gorgeous smile.. ❤️ thanks for the recepy
I love this tutorial thank you !!
😳 I was a little distracted by your guns😍 your arms look amazing
😎Thank you! I do online personal training if you want some guns too!
I didn't use any water at all & it turned out good
Awesome!! Glad it turned out good.
Why do I have a sudden urge to make a batch and go brush my teeth! 😆
Sounds great but I’ve heard that you shouldn’t spit out into the sink because it bentonite clay would clog up your plumbing. Is it ok or not?
For me, I haven’t had that issue with the toothpaste. I heard it can be the coconut oil. My hair is what tends to clog up my sinks! Perhaps when you use it make sure to let hot water run down the drain as you spit in the sink. Also i use very little on my toothbrush. A little goes a long way!
I brush my teeth in the kitchen sink with bentonite clay toothpaste
I used to use coconut oil but switched to vegetable glycerin which I like much better
Oh awesome what’s the difference that makes you like vegetable glycerin better?
I like the consistency better and it also tastes better as well. I definitely recommend trying it out. @@motherfreedom
Would i have to spit out the toothpaste in the trash? Seeing as though coconut oil isnt good to go down the drain.
Thank you
Hey there...does the color of the toothpaste powder permanently stain your toothbrush.
Update: Wow. I have been brushing with homemade clay toothpaste for over a week now, at least a few times a day, and it feels great. Next batch I make I'll substitute powdered parsley for fennel since I cannot grind the fennel fine enough.
Nope it doesn’t stain ours! We use Dr. Plotka’s Toothbrush
your dog is so adorable, my doggy looks very similar :)
Aw your doggy must be cute too hehe. thanks Andrea, I appreciate you watching my video!
Ive been using this toothpaste for 1 month and i always felt that my mouth was not clean from the store i would say the 1st week of using this homemade toothpaste my mouth isnt dry all the time my gums arent swollen and my teeth are definitely getting whiter love this toothpaste thank you for sharing!
I have 1 question how long should i use the paste before discarding ?
As long as you keep it tightly closed so it doesn’t dry it seems like it’s good for awhile. I make enough to last me a month or two
I liked you video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
fantastic thank you!!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching
Can you show ,how to make face pack with clay to store for 15 to 20 days ....
thanks
Thanks for watching!
Is there a shelf life for this? Should it be stored in the fridge or can I be stored in room temp?
Room temp is fine! The ingredients seem all shelf stable to me. Even coconut oil itself need not be refrigerated.
@@motherfreedom thank you!
Can I use Aztec secret Indian healing clay ?
Hmm that’s a great question. I’ve never used it before but I don’t see why not since it’s bentonite clay!
I like this toothpaste recipe. Maybe even add 1 teaspoon of Stevia.😉
Oohlala that sounds tasty Cheryl!
Thank you. Does it get solid after a while as it might be difficult to scoop with a toothbrush?
Nope it does not get solid just make sure you keep the lid on when not using it. Thanks for watching Ganesh!
@@motherfreedom thank you for the quick response. Useful video
Do not put the toothbrush directly inside use the finger or a wood stick or so not the toothbrush
Hello thanks for this video! Can i use pink Himalayan fine salt?
Totally you could definitely use pink Himalayan fine salt. Thank you for tuning in :)
@@motherfreedom Thanks for the response. I tried it and it did leave my mouth feeling refreshed! I used the peppermint, tea tree and also the eucalyptus oil.
@@MayanNapashYah Awesome! Sounds like your toothpaste turned out well :)
@@motherfreedom yes it did thank you!
I have a question I’ve seen recipes before but I’ve never seen salt being used what is the purpose of the salt and the recipe if you wouldn’t mind explaining
Right now im having jojoba or lemon oil can I use them inatead of essential oils
I feel like that might taste strange! I don’t have experience using those oils. You can give it try but it might be better to have some peppermint or oregano!
What is the self life?
i don't know the exact shelf life, but as long as you keep the lid on it, it won't dry out. I use my toothpaste out of the jar until it runs out and never had a problem with it drying out or "going bad". There's plenty of salt and clay in it so i feel like there is no expiration date.
How are your teeth after brushing with baking soda? Fine? Not sensitive? Enamel doing ok?
Just wondering because I want to try this
Yes everything seems fine.
I love the recipe, but is it possible to put it in ml or grams? I tried with the cup measurments but something went wrong here xD
Can you convert it in google??
Can you just mix the Bentonite clay with water ? Is the other ingredients necessary?
U could dip your wet toothbrush in dry bentonite clay like they do with Redmonds earth tooth powder.
If I put it in a refillable tube for travel would it get solid inside of the tube?
I’ve never tried putting it in a tube before! I feel like as long as it’s not exposed to air or freezing temps it won’t get solid. I’ve used Redmonds Earthpaste which comes in plastic tubing and it never got solid. It’s worth a try!
Baking soda is salty enough how salty is that going to be I don’t know if I would add salt
Didn’t taste crazy salty to me!
Amazing! How does bentonite toothpaste “taste”? You said salty right :)
A little salty, but as minty as you'd like! i get more minty than salty tasting, however, if you have been used to using "sweet" tasting toothpaste, it will taste salty and weird at first!
I heard you shouldn’t do this if you have caps or filling , is that true?
I haven’t heard anything about that. I have four fillings.
Does this clay showed any side effects? Is it completely safe to use?
No effects, just benefits!
@@motherfreedom .thanks a lot for the info. Actually there is some hype of lead issues in it that's y I was concerned. From how many years are u using it for yourself?
Stay kind of baking soda
What if you have the metal fillings
It’s still ok to use in my experience. I have metal fillings too. Warning: I’m not a medical professional though :)
Where did you get the clay from? And is himalayan salt ok?
Looks like the place I got it no longer sells it. You can find the clay in many health food stores and online. Himalayan salt is fine.
That's great thank you so much!
Does the oil get in the way of the bentonite minerals reaching your enamel and would you say this is as effective or more effective than fluoride?
The oil is a way to create a smooth paste. I avoid fluoride in any way possible. Here are some resources below:
"Systemic fluoride interferes with our hormone balance, the thyroid, kidneys, and more." -www.westonaprice.org/podcast/186-the-problem-with-fluoride/#gsc.tab=0
"the relentless promotion of fluoride as a “dental benefit” is responsible for the huge neglect in proper assessment of its toxicity, an issue that has become a major concern for many nations. As there is no substance as biochemically active in the human organism as fluoride, excessive total intake of fluoride compounds might well be contributing to many diseases currently afflicting mankind, particularly those involving thyroid dysfunction. In the United States, most citizens are kept entirely ignorant of any adverse effect that might occur from exposure to fluorides." -www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/environmental-toxins/fluoride-worse-than-we-thought/#gsc.tab=0
Fluoride is poison
Also if your worried about the oil you can make a fine powder with basically everything she used except swap out the oil and add xylitol powder. Sprinkle it over tooth brush for use. 1 problem I noticed was it felt the amount that can fit on a tooth brush seemed small so I just toss about a tspn - 2 tspns directly into my mouth now and then brush. I even crunch the powder in my mouth a bit cuz it's fun and tastes great.
Xylotol powder
Bentonite clay
Baking soda
Cinnamon powder
Clove powder .
Lead free mama is saying redmond salt and all clay has lead???
Not sure!
Do you still use this today?
No I now do teeth blotting with a special tooth brush which requires no toothpaste!
@@motherfreedom Oh awesome, would you make a video on it? I have never heard of it before.
@@motherfreedom Also, what about remineralising teeth? I went a month without toothpaste, but started using it again since I although I was cleaning effectively, I felt I was doing nothing to remineralise my teeth.
Should I add diatomaceous earth and activated charcoal to this recipe?
i don't have experience with using diatomaceous earth or activated charcoal but that sounds like a great experiment!
I am using bentonite at my work..it's not safe if you are prolonged and often exposed using it.
Hi Jeremy! Can you share what you mean by not safe? Would it be a specific kind of sourced bentonite that you are using at work vs the one I am using for toothpaste?
It has to be food grade Bentonite for toothpaste I presume
♥️♥️♥️
Can i avoid baking soda?
Depends on how you want your toothpaste to turn out! You could avoid it but its going to make your toothpaste chunky since baking soda is a good binder because as it absorbs oils as well as mixing well with water. Using baking soda will make it smoother!
@@motherfreedom thank you 🙏🙂
Why does the living clay website no longer exist? Did they go out of business?
I just tried to find them too. Hm looks like they’re gone!
😍🥰👍🏻
Your teeth look great. 🙂
Oh thank you! I thank my mom for getting me braces. Haha
