In the US, red rocket is slang for a sexually excited male dog. So the game has a little joke there with the name of the company and the potential companion you find there in the game :)
I never heard of that before! :D sounds like something a game developer would think of! The dog is even called Dogmeat,... which sounds somewhat shady!
What an amazing scratch built red rocket station I love all the different materials and techniques used for it, yours came out fantastic! Came here from recommended, cheers!
Thanks, it was really fun making this model. Sadly, nobody wants to watch it, so i guess i'll have to stick with ships if i want to keep this channel alive :D
@@funinscale2892 Well, here for ships since I enjoy building ship models. But, I appreciated the creativity in the build. It shows what someone who wants to make something from a scratch build can do.
Nice work. You mentioned that the putty was melting the foam. Look at a product called Durham's Water Putty. I found some in the hardware store, works wonders.
While I have never used the product, I have heard diluted Mod Podge can be applied to styrofoam and once it dries any type of paint or fillers can be used, without damaging the material. you can add pigment to the product for the base coat. I may now attempt my own Red Rocket in 1:87 scale. Good work.
Now that you mention it, i remember that as well! I should have thought about that before :D - for the next build i'll remember, thanks! I dont know what scale i made this, the power armor is 24mm in height - i estimate its around 1/80 to 1/100 around
Wish I had a dollar every time I scribed my fingers with a hobby knife....... To be honest this was very enjoyable to watch. For being made from scratch it looks great, must be your skill..... Thanks for your time and work..................
Thanks very much, very nice of you! I really enjoyed making this, its just something different from the usual plastic model kits and using one's fantasy to make something is somehow more rewarding than following instructions i think!
That was a fantastic build there mats, well, your channel has the appropriate name, Fun in Scale, keep safe and well, best regards to you and your family from a Kiwi living in Australia
Cool diorama Peter. I'm not familiar with the game this came from, but it was impressive and interesting nonetheless. I know Tamiya makes a lot of diorama products that would be helpful in future projects. Again it was really cool how you made this from regular household items. Awesome work my friend. Have a great week and looking forward to the next build. Stay safe and healthy. As always my very best to your family and friends. God bless. 👍👍🇦🇹🤝🇺🇸
Hi Chris! I really enjoyed making this, just not following instructions of a kit but figuring out oneself what you need to do next; was really exciting! Stay safe and all the best, my friend!
Holy almost for a reason; not exactly what I came here to see, is what I meant by that. It's just that I never showed you where, the classic California truck stop rest area is. Of how it's been set up. What I also was trying to tell you is that; America's largest truck stop rest area, is found in Iowa. They have everything; most truck stop rest areas don't have, such as a movie theater, a souvenir shop, restroom showers for men who are truck drivers, a game room, a hardware store,, a camping equipment store, bathroom supply store, a gas service station, and even a cafe can you believe. 🙄
Finally. A scratch build video that doesn't amount to "I went online and bought prefabricated stuff for half of this build, and the other half was 3d printed, now I just have to paint it all.". This video is actually a scratch build. Awesome build!
I didn’t realize how small it was! Then I saw your hand next to it, 10x more impressive cool!

Hahaha mannnnn I didn’t need to know that but kind of glad I do
Lol I thought this was a world wide thing... the more you know!
@@azfanatic44 Could well be, but I didn't want to speak for countries I have not spent time in.

This is a great diorama . Love your attention to details . As a diorama builder I can imagine how long you work on . Bravo !
Looks fantastic, the whole time I was wondering when you were going to put ice machine on the right side though.
Thanks! There's an ice machine around the gas station? Now i have to check in the game! :D

Awesome diorama. Should repost with the Fallout 4 soundtrack!

Ace mate 😁👌
Nice, well done. :)
It's pretty good but the power armor throws the scale out. The rest looks great with what you used. Thumbs Up.
