its wild that the collective hate can't figure out what they even believe in with emily. i literaly read a comment that said she sounds like jojo siwa or halestorm, and so many others that say its paramore. like cmon none of those things are alike AT ALL and they expect their opinion to have a valid standing people dont realize that trying to bully someone out of the band in the name of chester is such an oxy moronic thing to do
Totally couldn't agree more on that! It's almost as if some people need something to criticize based off their belief that Linkin Park should remain a metaphorical grave for Chester. The way I feel is that Chester would've wanted the band to continue in his memory, and some people just won't even give it a chance. But for some comparing her to JoJo Siwa is WILD LOL
This puzzles me. The narrative many people seems to share is confusing to me. Chester didn't pass away. He sadly took his own life. He made a selfsifh decision that has important and life changing consequences on his band members who didn't ask for this. Do not get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Chester as a musician and I absolutely love the music he created with his group. But in that scenario, he is not the victim. The rest of the band are. They whole lifes and career were put on hold due to the selfish decision on another member of the band. He didn't quit. He didn't pass away in an accident. He took his own life. We seem to forget this. The other band member have every rights to choose to keep doing music if they want to. They didn't ask for any of this. Now is the new singer my favorite, no. I wasn't impress by the live performance debut, I think going live on RUclips was a good flex but a bad decision, since a prerecorded show would have been much better. She didn't impress me at all. I also have a lot of issues with scientology and her apparent bulliying of SA victims. Was she the right choice? I don't know, not convinced at this moment, only time will tell. But can we please stop deify a very good musician that made a selfish decision and put the life of many people on hold and completely stop their musical momentum. We need to see the 2 sides of the coin here. Does it make sense?
Completely valid! And maybe I misspoke, but I'm very much aware of his suicide and the impacts that had on his friends and family. My standing that i feel i didn't articulate very well is pretty much criticism towards people telling Mike specifically that he's in the wrong for continuing. I feel like if Mike and the band are ready to make music under LP, they should be allowed to And it's a lot of the fans who are criticizing them for starting back up who aren't giving the people who experienced that tragic loss first hand the opportunity to move on and do something they feel is positive. Yeah they could've started a new band, but they didn't, and I think either decision should be respected It's unfortunate that's people's first reaction But I can definitely see your perspective.
For myself personally it seems Emily isn’t that qualified if a singer and sounds like Jojo Siwa at Karaoke night. The Scientology stuff is just the cherry on top for me to give it a hard pass.
