Always good to have had a plethora of piñatas….or bikes. Puppy is a stuffy wrecking machine. Get that boy a Kong! Great video. Your take on the future of ktm is spot on, methinks. They sell way too many bikes to just disappear from existence.
Thank you! And believe it or not kongs don't fare much better. He also destroys those in a few hours but they're three times the cost hahaha. Thanks for watching... and I couldn't agree more about the pinatas (bikes). I'm itching to get my hands on a modern four stroke here soon.
what tires/tubes are you running? How does 1st gear in the XC compare with the XCW, now that the XC has a 13T front sprocket.. especially in super slow techy stuff?
We typically run mouses front and rear now. A Bridgestone X31 front and some form of gummy tire rear. Usually whatever we can get for a decent price. Lately it's been a Shinko 525 Cheater or a Tusk Recon. Long answer: internally the xc-w and the xc gearing is exactly the same. They came with dramatically different gearing from the factory. The xc-w has 12-45 gearing on it right now for a final of 3.75 and the xc currently has 13-49 gearing for 3.77 final. Short answer: the gearing feels exactly the same. 1st is perfect for pivots, zaps, etc... 2nd and 3rd used most often, 4th and 5th for the open stuff, and 6th for fire roads. Super happy with current gearing on both bikes! Thanks for watching! If you're on the fence about mouses, don't be! They're worth it!
Never had the plug fowling problem on my 24 300XC. It spooges out the exhaust like crazy though so I carry an extra plug just in case. No other issues, really good bike out of the box.
Totally agree! I ran Klutz R50 on my other carb bikes. I think these bikes prefer a lower flashpoint oil. Been on Klotz TCW-3 for about 20 gallons now and definitely have less spooge. Thanks for watching!
@@JustSharetheStoke I have just 67hrs. I did have a fouled plug at 7hrs. Got a video about that, but I've had no other troubles with it. Love the bike though.
Nice. I have similar experiences and have the same bike. Grab a TSP PV cover, fantastic boost to the bottom and mid. - never mind the ERM probably gives you what you wanted. KTM isn't going anywhere, maybe some ownership changes but the brand will keep on keeping on.
Possibly! I repacked it after 40 hours and then again at 80 and it wasn't a noticeable change. Huge fan of the turbine core though! Thanks for watching!
Wasn’t expecting to see McNutt on this one, great video and sweet bike!
Thanks brotha... yeah we definitely get around. Anything for some throttle therapy! Thanks for watching.
love all your guys videos would love to ride with you!

@ sold! Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to trying the sprocket and a rear mousse (probably just going to keep UHD tube front)

Nice video. Have you ever had any trouble with shifting into first gear and hitting neutral. Shifting down, I have hit neutral several times.
No, I haven't experienced that. How many hours on your engine? And thanks for watching!

The muffler was probably loud because the packing was blown out
