I added BASE to my MM NETWORKS 2 weeks ago, Then yesterday, all of a sudden, I could no longer switch to BASE, yet all other NETWORKS in MM are still accessible. So I deleted BASE NETWORK from my MM and tried REINSTALLING IT; however, when I add BASE Manually to MM or Connecting to CHAINLIST, I get this Response: Error while connecting to the custom network.

I bridged to Base by mistake originally, was trying to send Eth to Metamask. Now I'm intrigued by Base and will be taking a look around the platform. However, I am trying to send Eth on to Metamask or back to Coinbase wallet. Have I missed something in this video in how to do the above? I'm keen to get things shifted around and would appreciate some help. Great video btw. I'm sure I missed the answer!

If your ETH is already on Base in your Metamask or Coinbase wallet, then you should be able to bridge to Ethereum and other chains using Hop Protocol.

Bridging on Layer 2s is definitely a reason why many people are moving to high throughput L1s like Solana recently

Why should people have to wait days for a transaction, in order to use ethereum you need to go through these complicated bridges on to L2s, it’s a sign that ETH is broken. Solana Avax are already far more technologically superior
