my usual plan: sneak up, shoot speaker, shoot sentries, move in my usual execution: stumble into anomaly, run, stumble into mutant while running from anomaly, run more, stumble into military while running from mutant, accidentally kill everyone in sight, go grab briefcase, feel stealthy.
Here's a tip for anyone playing Stalker, if you gather and equip 5 of the artefacts that protect you against fire, and then stand in a flaming barrel, it will repair whatever armour you're wearing at the time. Useful for keeping a good armour suit in tip-top condition.
5 doesn't do much. You need to get the protection over 100%. Fortunatelly SoC has only one artifact that gives burn protection and it is +30, so 4 is enough.
I finally managed to pull this off. Only killed one soldier and alerted the two others in the building on the third floor. Escaped without killing any others too. It was insane, thank you for the guide
Yeah you can see how they planned it, but ultimately shooting you way out is often much more fun. Reminds me of how raw and brutal stealth was in Metro 2033 original.

played through all 3 games multiple times and never knew you can do this job without alerting the military. I always just go in guns blazing and fuck shit up. saving this for a next playthrough
That's actually a stealth mission. There are in-game hints that there is a lot less active military at night and suggestions for you to raid it at night. Level design suggests that too with a few pathways for you to silently get in, a ton of military and npc behavior The problem is that stealth sucks in this game
When playing it back in 2007, I remember I tried playing it this way but had the alarm going off everytime I cross the line of the gates no matter if I was spotted on that hill. And the first time I managed to play it stealthy was in fact in Lost Alpha. And it was at night. BOY THAT WAS IMMERSIVE
To think of it, there's also something similar that can be acheived with the bandit's base at dark valley! Maybe I should make a video about that as well :)
One of the reasons it's my fav, stalker was originally designed as a fast paced shooter with rpg and tactical elements :) it's great to come back to the origins sometimes :)

Man, it's really cool to see how they clearly designed the level around being able to take this path. There's no other reason that spool would be there for you to jump into the window. I think I tried to take this path before but the enemy AI just isn't very conducive towards a stealthy playthrough.
Mission complete and How?! They're gonna tell stories about this one boss! This reminded me so much of MGS V's Afghanistan missions where you sneak around soviet camps. What you did here is the equivalent of an S rank no traces mission. Amazing stuff.
I once managed to get through it by stealth using default route (from the underground exit within the base), got spotted only when I was outside the perimeter, running over the hill.
5:21 This Stalker is so stealthy they didn't even notice themselves sneak into the base, and snuck in a second time not realising they already had the loot.
Hey fellow 100 Rads Bar enjoyer. Nice walkthrough! I remember doing the base itself fully stealth, but always getting caught at the end. Didn't know you can fully exit Agroprom without firing a shot. Disabling the alarm was also new to me. It would be cool to have Steam achievements for this eventually :)
@@Pirate85_Original what really amazed me is the scripted partols, at each time of the day there is a specific scripted event for some soldiers to either go sleep, or run around the base, or turn shifts, if you spend the entire night observing them from far away. It's so well done.
I DID IT!! Came out of the underground at about midnight and just walked in the front door and down the ladder off the roof. More tense than the underground
@@deus_nsf on one save i popped out and wasnt insta spotted shot the tower guard and stealth knifed 2 guards before all hell broke loose very rewarding, when you knifed the speaker did that stop any potentiol alarm or was that for flair lol

i didn't even know you could do this mission in stealth, I just always went in, killed everyone in my sight and left without any bullets left BUT at least i got the documents
Stalker is the gift that keeps on giving, I keep discovering new stuff at every playthrough it's insane, like the fact that you can unequip your armor drop it and flip it with your body physics to use it as a platform to reach higher heights. It's not really that useful but I'm sure some use cases can be found!
Managed to do it, took me multiple reloads though. I got spotted by the sentry on the floor with the briefcase once before I managed to get the briefcase, and a few more times after, before I managed to jump out of the window (while on the stairs). Then I was spotted several more times by the tower sentry in the corner of the compound with the hole in the wall before I could finally escape. Normally, every time I tried to do the agroprom bit stealthily, I'd do it after clearing the underground and come from the hatch, but that always resulted in me instantly being spotted by one of the tower sentries no matter what, even when I got lucky, I couldn't manage to get into the building before being spotted, that was also at night.
yeah not sure if difficulty affects hiw well enemies can see, but in master it seems almost impossible not to get spotted if you come out of th undergounds inside the base
pretty impressive considering how broken stealth is in this game... silent approach to this quest i think was the way to complete it originally (there were some notes on sniper tower map in pda or something iirc) but gsc never polished stealth to normal working order
Indeed, the 3 things you've got to remember are, enemies can see through bushes (maybe not as well but they can), your 3rd person model can clip through walls if you're hugging them too much, and if you wnt to save/reload, enemy states are neutral on load so their positions and status do not match, until a dozens of seconds have ellapsed IF they didn't see you.
Stalker has such deep gameplay, but does a terrible job at conveying its possibilities, I really hope Stalker 2 will do a better job at this, but without the yellow paint haha.
I swear to god some guards are always too drunk on Bartenders smirnof Vodka. I remember sneaking behind one of them on watch tower in agroprom and dude just stared at me XDDD
Seems like the developers intended you to do this judging by the level design here. But my question is why they had to make it so goddamn hard. If you get spotted once you become perma detected even if you load a save. If that was a bug then they should have easily been able to fix it right.
Yeah many things are just not right in this game unfortunately, the project management was super poorly done and the publisher put too much pressure on an unrealistic release date. That's why I'm happy about Stalker 2 being delayed so much, it will have many bugs that's for sure but it will be closer to their vision at least.
@ yes, I knifed the duty checkpoint gate and slipped thru, just after leaving cordon. Booked it to the army warehouses and broke the crates containing the VSS, thru the hole in the roof.
Never managed to do this... in vanilla everything ended in a mad dash firefight, in Radiophobia 3 the initial approach is basically pointless with the enhanced npcs ai... the closest I ever got was in Lost Alpha killing from the shadows with a silenced pistol but then had to reload and the bug in which everyone gets alerted kick in
Enemies can see through bush easily in master, your 3rd person model can clip through geometry, and enemies all drank a lot of cofee, but once you accepted those facts, it's a possibility yes!
Same for me, I really wanted to make that possible, maybe someone did it before me? I didn't check in advance, plus I don't want to be influenced by someone else's route!
@@deus_nsf Many people from Eastern part of S.T.A.L.K.E.R community have done it like 4-3-2 years ago, so for me as a member of Eastern community it's like not that new stuff. I could say even more. Guy nicknamed Horned Reaper and also Kubel'ville have passed all Shadow of Chernobyl (Kubel'ville have passed all three games) in "stealth" mode (by that i mean that they didn't shoot with weapons without silencer and they haven't detected by NPC's and they tried to shoot less as it possible and also sometimes used bugs to be undetected).

Except you've already disabled the CO positioned in the room with the documents. I really appreciated this strategy right up until the moment it was apparent that you've already been through once and cleared out the CO to grab the docs.
Just for the sake of it! In theory it would avoid lowering your reputation with the Military faction, but this is not Lost Alpha and it doesn't matter (at least for the Military).
@@deus_nsf I'm just asking cause I remember when I played the vanilla version back in 2007 - the stealth was almost non-existent. Enemies would have eyes on their back and sometimes could even see you through walls and so on. But your video kinda proved that stealth is still possible. I'm super impressed
@@liskeke enemies can see through bushes, and they can see you if your 3rd person model clips through walls, which sometimes happen with a weapon equipped for example. It's unfortunate that it lacks polish, but it can be learned.

In ogsr mod it's impossible for me to go inside in stealth. They always detect me even if I'm far away from them

Nah. You only progress the story. You don't really get any rewards besides cash or weapons/ammo/armor by doing side quests.

behaviour and numbers, some of them sleep, and their vision isn't as great, but in master difficulty they still have bionic vision anyways haha

I already did it just before but with many quicksaves, so that's why I already have the case, I was just re-showing the path ;)

Except you've already disabled the CO positioned in the room with the documents. I really appreciated this strategy right up until the moment it was apparent that you've already been through once and cleared out the CO to grab the docs.

Why you not start this mission from agroprom underground then enter military/institute
In master difficulty you almost 100% get insta spotted by one of the guard towers, they can see through tree leaves like it's nothing!
Is there any extra reward for being quiet or just for the sake of not having to shoot?
Just for the sake of it! In theory it would avoid lowering your reputation with the Military faction, but this is not Lost Alpha and it doesn't matter (at least for the Military).

it is the pc version but this should be possible on the console version too since its very faithful despite some differences
@@deus_nsf I'm just asking cause I remember when I played the vanilla version back in 2007 - the stealth was almost non-existent. Enemies would have eyes on their back and sometimes could even see you through walls and so on. But your video kinda proved that stealth is still possible. I'm super impressed
@@liskeke enemies can see through bushes, and they can see you if your 3rd person model clips through walls, which sometimes happen with a weapon equipped for example. It's unfortunate that it lacks polish, but it can be learned.
