      Kimi's WDC is quite funny in the respect that up to that point Mclaren had cost many race wins and possibly at least one title with slow and/or unreliable cars yet they gift wrapped one for him the year after he left for Ferrari.

    Kimi was legendary in the second half of 2007. Unbeatable once they changed the front suspension to suit Kimi more at France. He won 6 races compared to 4 each for Hamilton and Alonso, had 9 podiums in the last 10 races, despite 1 more DNF than Alonso or Hamilton. Legend. Everyone knew he already deserved the 2003 and 2005 titles at McLaren, he was by far the best driver in those two years and was robbed because of car reliability issues. An all time great.

Today they are the highest paid team with 2 brilliant drivers and could barely get into q3 throughout the 2020 season. even after hearing watching laudas tale in a documentary just few yrs ago, still find it so crazy this man raced so fast after such a horrific crash-that is some real courage, bravery, fearlessness, gotta be almost insane to get back into a car so soon, truly respectable legend - in fact after such a life threatening struggle, the pain he must have beared, even in the race itself, helmet stained with blood from wound, to have his partner support him as well through such a comeback decision, got racing in his veins like no one i know, even though you gotta get right back on that horse, bike, board, most professionals may have taken a break-if not been held back by their family, but this is what marks a difference with real heroic champions, even though he was one of the more silent, and reserved, kind of guys, his gutsyness was like none other - sad when heard he passed away last year at relatively young age still, after having gone through kidney/lung transplants, feel like rewatching his racing life now after seeing him in this video as im sure there are things ive forgot that will be inspiring to re-learn.

    3:27 So, it wasn't just Binotto who was at Ferrari during their reign? Arrivibenne was present at the team, witnessing it firsthand.
    Well, I guess it goes to show that that particular excuse for Binotto doesn't satisfy me to why he became team principle. Arrivibenne was there as well, he should've stayed. He knew what he was doing. Mattia should've stayed with what he was good at.

    • @09Mrsubaru
      @09Mrsubaru 4 года назад +7

      With all do respect to Arrivabene but he wasn’t the best manager. When it all went wrong he looked for someone to blame and it always had to be someone’s fault. Not saying Binotto is better than he’s definitely not. Ferrari has to let go of the idea of having an all Italian team their success and dominance was with people who weren’t Italian.

      I think it's the same kind of problem as it was with Williams, that the main structure of the company is so rigid that you can't change until you replace the whole management or something. The politics are always strongly involved. Only the very best can manage all these things and get the best out of it, but if you make a mistake, or things aren't going well, they start looking for responsible people instead of taking the time and think about the reasons. Maybe Ross Brown could make it the best.

    I've been watching f1 ever since the day I was born and I've never regretted a moment spent looking at that tv screen watching racing cars blasting round at 200mph going wheel to wheel in the fight for the title
    Grazie Ferrari and most importantly Grazie Micheal for giving me some of my best ever memories of the greatest sport the world will ever see
