Back in the day, on G2 Legends, I had the timing belt/water pump down to 3 hours (sitting on a driveway, no power tools) Love these motors. If money were no object, I would love to build a C32A1 as powerful as the block could stand. Which, if memory serves me right, is north of 400hp.
Really wish Honda would have utilized this powertrain orientation to offer an all wheel drive as well. Having a longitudinally mounted engine that is front wheel drive. That really should have a drive shaft coming out of the back of the transmission for all wheel drive giving such a great car some rear wheel driving dynamic.
Here at 120 subs! I enjoyed watching the CRX si video to Fort Worth Texas! My first car was a 1988 civic hatchback std (standard) was a light blue color not painted from and rear bumpers, 4 speed manual and no A/C. Got that car for $600 from Long Beach, when I lived in Los Angeles. Loved that car. After I had a 1988 civic hatchback we swapped a b18 LS motor with my brother. After that had a 91 civic hatchback automatic, after that had a 95 hatchback vx 5speed with the Vtec-E engine, and after that had a 2001 Civic coupe 2 door, 5 speed! Love me some older Hondas! Thanks for your channel! Following!
Looks like you've got your work cut out for you! Can't wait to see it all cleaned up! Noticed the extended rear transmission mount...guessing that came out of a manual swapped car?
I’d love to see you put a Acura RL all wheel drive transmission with this and make an all wheel drive Legend. There’s another RUclipsr that was taking a Prelude and making it rear wheel drive really wish she would’ve used it a Acura RL powertrain. If you could do the same you’d have quite an interesting project car.
Can you please tell me of any transmission alternatives you may know of for my Gen 1 ‘90 Legend Coupe. The 4 speed automatic is currently not shifting into third or fourth properly and I also have intermittent reverse. Thanks

I think that was an option wasn't it? There're videos of AWD legends going through the snow.
Jus subbed to see the full transformation I had a 90 and really wanting another

Thanks, it will be a massive job for sure! Yes, we would guess the same about the mount, since it was a '91 with a complete drivetrain swap. Good eye!
Can't wait to see what unfolds a former owner of that engine. I know it's in good hands.
Cheers, thanks much Miguel!
Whats the trans code for the manual trans being used in this build? which model did it come from?
This is the 6-speed manual, available in 93-95 coupes and 94-95 sedans. The transmission code for the 6-speed is K4F6.
How far along has the build come along
