  • Toyota Indiana celebrated a major milestone as the plant started production of the first-ever Lexus TX, an all-new, three-row luxury SUV. The 2024 TX is the first Lexus SUV to be assembled in the U.S., and the first Lexus for Toyota Indiana.
In 2021, Toyota announced an $803 million investment in Indiana to assemble two all-new SUV’s, further cementing the automakers’ commitment to U.S. manufacturing and to Toyota Indiana’s workforce of more than 8,000 employees. Fast-forward to 2023, Toyota Indiana launched the Grand Highlander and now is excited to offer the Lexus TX.
“When Toyota Indiana was selected to assemble two brand-new vehicles, we were thrilled,” said Leah Curry, Toyota Indiana president, “Being designated as a Lexus plant brings honor and prestige to the work we do every day and it’s extremely gratifying to see our team recognized for their dedication and expertise.”

Glad I saw this before I plunked an extra $10K on a bedazzled Toyota Grand Highlander, uh I mean Lexus TX made at the same plant. Incredible.

Great job guys. It’s good to know the people that build my next Lexus. I’ve set my eyes on the TX 550 h+.

I bet Most commenting here have never test driven the TX, let alone both the TX and grand highlander for a proper comparison.

There have been several build quality issues with this new TX and the ML audio sounds like shit on this car. Improvements needed.

So true. Better to have the jobs here. People don’t care about buying America anymore. They want foreign Euro cars that have their share of issues. No car is perfect. They are mass produced and not bespoke custom Rolls Royce’s. Get real America.

Meanwhile I can't get a 550h+ in my State because it's not a Zero Emissions one. Fail.

huh, as a Lexus owner of 4, you still can't seem to make them quiet with out acoustic glass or ANC. ( you too Toyota).. All my older Lexus(s)/Toyotas are quieter than my '23 NX 350h................
