That water probably made its way through the gaps of the tailgate. When you were inside, you could see light through it. My 16 does it too. They make tailgate weather strips you can add on.
I've had issues. Leaks all the time, latches come loose and out of adjustment. Just looking today coming out of home depot, i can see how the back window doesn't shut flush. Not 100% satisfied
I don't think so. I did quite a bit of research before getting this one. Weighed the options. Im super happy with it. Now I am thinking of adding the Decked system to my bed.

@ That is not good. Have you reached out to the manufacturer? They should remedy any issues.
How close is to the cabin top stop light?

You could if you were inside the topper. I like to keep some things private. This dome light is extra special.
