No twisties where you live?
@@bm7760 Not really. Mile after mile of farm ground. 2 lanes for days. I don’t mind.
Something i found out recently. Don't leave pressure washer idling for more than 60 seconds thats why the pumps burn up so quickly. The professional models are ok to but these cheap residential models aren't designed to.
I think the more important issue is running them dry. Always hook up your water and squeeze the trigger to prime the system before starting. Once they have water in them I dont think idle is a bad thing.
@@TheSonofHaroldyour correct about dry start, read owner's manual and search web I promise on my life that idle is bad.
@@Poorboychickencoop I will look into it. Thanks for the info.
If the HD dealership doesnt care enough to have a washbay, go somewhere else. They charge premium prices their work should "reflect" it. ✌️
Agree 100%. My dealership has a wash bay but I think its currently full of bikes they cant sell.
I just bought that amp. the video help I’m not that good either. I just started playing guitar a month ago. Thanks for the video.👍🏾
Thanks for watching. What guitar did you get?
@@TheSonofHarold I got the bullet Stratocaster bundle, but that amp wasn’t doing it for me so I got the Mustang LT 25. It’s better looking in person. It’s a Matt black I thought it was gonna be a shiny black.
@@belmont93 nice!
I have a 2019 Softail Slim and I've been looking to do this. Didn't realise how simple the job is! Thank you.
Glad one of my videos could help. Really simple task in the end. Thanks for watching.
Everyone is having a good bloody whinge at the moment about HD. I get we’re not happy with Zeitz as CEO and HD need to do a Zeitzblitz and fire him. But really? Why the 8 minute 24 second belly ache over a problem that could have been addressed at the dealership and by the dealership? Even your dog was trying to wind you up after 5 minutes. 🤣You inspect your bike before riding out. If you’re not happy with the state of things then tell the service agent that the bike needs a clean. They’ll do that for you no extra charge and you ride out happy with an extra free coffee while you wait. Stop the belly aching and get a real issue peeps. If you develop a relationship they look after you….well, that’s been my experience and after 30,000 klms on a 21 FLSB it’s still tight, no leaks and has never let me down.
Ive had a relationship with my local dealership for years. The problem is all the people I have built this relationship with have left the dealership. Now the new people dont have a clue who is a long term customer and customer service seems to be a thing of the past. Thanks for the engagement.
Hi. Where does that bag support go? The claw looking piece. When you removed the bags.
@@stevebresha9536 I’m not sure that piece you’re talking about. The actual bar that supports the bag from the back and connects near the passenger peg? That bar stays connected to the bag.
@@TheSonofHarold yes, it is the support bar. I almost bought those bags, but my frame does not have that cylinder piece that it goes onto. I first thought that it connected/rests on the passenger peg shank. Your bike is the best color! Good luck with that man!!
@@stevebresha9536 Appreciate the comments. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for recommending this vid. The round AC cover looks old school, love it. Did you end up having to flash the ECM?
@@RNintheTrenches I did not. The M8 114 is capable of learning minor changes like air and slip on mufflers. I’ve got about 1400 miles on the bike now. Next week and pull a spark plug and see how they look. That should tell me if I’m running rich or not. My gas light consistently comes on around 182 miles.
@@TheSonofHarold Be interesting to hear how the plugs look. Not sure why the low fuel indicator light would illuminate when you still have a cruising range of 182 miles. My mpg has varied from a low of 42 mpg to a high of 51. Into a strong headwind with the windshield on is when I can get into the low 40’s. 51mpg was wind at my back at consistent highway speeds.
@@RNintheTrenches I’m saying my fuel light comes on after I’ve traveled 182 miles on a full tank. Then it switches to reserve and shows about 47 miles DTE (distance to empty) totaling roughly 230 miles per tank of fuel.
@@TheSonofHarold I understand now. Thats spot on what my gauges read as well.
Nice, simple solution for stowing those smaller items. Have a 2019 Heritage. In my saddle bags; first aid kit, license/registration, air cleaner rain sock cover, miscellaneous towels for windscreen. Nutrition bars/water on longer rides. Looking to get a chrome Motherwell rear fender rack, but they’re currently out of stock. Rack will be on most of time, saddlebags on only for longer trips. Chrome, round air cleaner cover on your Heritage looks great! Ripley’s got the right idea for the temps you’ve had.
Thanks for commenting. I love the clean look without bags on the Heritage. I like the look of the round air cleaner so much better and it removes the need to carry the rain sock.
@@TheSonofHarold I agree, Heritage looks just right without the bags. I’ll have to checkout that air cleaner cover, no rain sock, nice!
@@RNintheTrenches Its not just the cover. That round cover wont fit the oval. Its a full new air intake set. I have a video on the install.
@@TheSonofHarold Thank you. Going to watch that vid now.
If your going to have a Harley, you need to get used to them marking their spot. They are extremely territorial creatures. I've owned them since the 70s and they all will leak somewhere eventually. The old ones are far superior to the 2000 and up bikes.
Thanks for the comment. Id like to add an older one to the stable.
My dealer charges $185 an hour in Missouri.
Ouch !
Great video. Have you ever used a footswitch from another company?
@@user-gi7io5xi5n Thank you. I have not tried any other foot switches. I wanna get a loop pedal and try it.

@@LuraSur 😳
I have the same setup and I believe the docking hardware is designed (length of bolts) to be run with the saddlebags on. With the bags on, the bolts would not protrude that far in and can be torqued down properly. When I run without bags, I simply get a couple of shorter bolts to fill the holes in the struts.
@@user-jq7gs2wm3t Yep! Agreed
Yea definitely ment for the bars and not to be carried as a purse! I like you green purse you carry more anyway!

I recently ordered some Harley parts for my Heritage and they have a promotion going where you get a free "man purse" similar to what you bought. Of course Harley places a much higher value on theirs because it has a bar and shield stitched on it. 🙄

Chemical plant worker here too, 44 years and counting. We have yearly turnarounds lasting 10-14 days. Some random thoughts after watching your video: - At $125/hr your dealer's shop rate is actually on the low end of what's being charged now. - I can pretty much guarantee it wasn't a Master Tech who did the service on your bike. They give those jobs to the least experienced workers in the shop. - Rookie tech or not, they should have done a better job of keeping your ride clean during servicing. Best thing to do is comment on it via social media; dealers don't like getting bad reviews there.
@@kingkrimson8771 Thanks for the comment. Our turnaround isn’t going well. 21 days in and won’t be getting the plant back till mid September. It’s tough out here.
I agree 100%. Two of my favorite things in the world, music and motorcycles, have changed a lot since I was 20-something. Corporations exist to make money, not to please ever-aging me. They need to appeal to a younger, more diverse customer base. The old men currently complaining about HD's attitude will be dust (as will I) long before corporate closes down.
@@Candywarhol You and I both know it.
Go Ripley, what a great dog! Only keep parts that fit my current ride, saves on space/clutter. Once a year, local dealer has an "attic/tag sale" where customers can bring in unwanted parts and display them indoors for purchase. Dealer clears out a section in the showroom, sets up tables and runs the sale over a Saturday/Sunday. Everything must be in good condition/clean.

I have to dress up for work with dress shoes, so that is what I wear when I ride my Road King to work. When I ride after work or weekends I put on my Harley costume. I do it as an escape from reality. It's my time to be wild and free.
@@whatsinanamethatthecaptive577 that is a perfectly good explanation and understandable. My opinions should matter to no one. Many white collar workers ride Harley’s. The fact you ride yours to work tells me you ride. I was referring to the weekend warriors/rolex riders. Thanks for the comment.
Harley's speed wobble like a 70s Japanese bike, or even worse. I own one, I ought to know. 2003 Dyna wobbles worse than my 73 900 Kawasaki!

@@KyleReese-vt8bo I rode a Honda VTX1300 C years ago that was obviously shaft driven. Power right now to the rear wheel. Great vid Man, I share your opinion, I too have been a Harley enthusiast for many years, there are 3 in the garage and I wouldn't ride anything else. I think all the agitation is caused by a minority of people who don't even ride Harleys. What is sad is that the new policy created by Jochen Zeist is destroying the company from the inside and will put many American workers out of work. Since its arrival, we have seen a decline in quality, a restriction of ranges and choice and a drastic increase in prices, which is also turning people away from the brand. All of this is due to a deep misunderstanding of the core customers who made the company's heyday, but this German manager has no use for all of that, he is in the pay of shareholders who want short-term profit. And this company is no longer run by motorcycle enthusiasts but by financiers. The "woke" movement has been underway for a while now in society to impose minorities as a norm to the detriment of majorities as most companies do today, but in my opinion this has nothing to do with the backlash suffered by Harley, it's just pointless agitation. As I said above, it's the excessive prices, range restrictions, abandonment of iconic models and new models copied from Polaris that keep people away from the brand. This is how the world goes, we won't be able to do much about it anyway, and at my age of 65 I will soon be one of the "has-beens" whose opinions no longer count, but I don't care , it doesn't hold my passion for the brand and as long as I can ride, it will be on a Harley. But I am glad to find also a Harley enthusiast like you and I often watch your videos which I appreciate. Greetings from France
@@Big-Al.64 Appreciate the comment. You watched and understood my point as most others did not. Lots of negative in the comments but again, people raging that don’t even ride and looking for something to be mad at. Harley is my motorcycle of choice and that’s not changing. The company could die and I wouldn’t care. Plenty of Harley’s in circulation for me to get my hands on. Thanks again.
Nobody cares if anyone is gay except other gays. If you want to ride a Harley then ride a Harley. NOBODY cares?
I discovered the truth. The new CEO is another marxist WEF simp, paid by Klaus Schwab to 'greenify' Harley and kill union jobs.
They are funneling money to "causes" their customers don't agree with and feel will make the country worse. That's worth not patronizing a company, if that company does things with its money that you feel hurt the country, whether that's getting rid of jobs, or giving money to terrorist groups. Let's imagine, you pay your neighbor to do landscaping regularly, you have for years and they have new cars and a boat. All of a sudden that neighbor wants to buy you out of your home and uses the money you pay him to make your life difficult. You're going to stop paying that person. Because I could care less about their boat and shit or how they spend their money but when what they do impacts your daily life you have a right to not contribute to it. Also, you sound like a complete idiot in all topics you spoke about.
Yep...why be mad. America is founded on greed. Corporations are there to take our money as fast as they can. Its easier to go to 3rd world countries for manufacturing. Hell almost all manufacturing jobs are gone. Its about putting more money in the upper end of the companys. If you believe its to keep it affordable...your delusional.
I’m not sure if this is sarcasm and just another angry comment towards my video or if you actually agree with some of the things I said. Either way. Thanks for the comment. It’s appreciated
