You didnt mention another advanced technique, the e, flash. If you're trying to close in on someone further away, you can incorporate your flash to catch people from further away. The animation is quicker using the e, flash rather then flash, e.
@@Monno15 You can also try this combo, Q + Flash AA, R, AA, E. Use the q + flash AA for instant lock-down then R to secure with further CC. Another tip that has worked for me is too time the CC chain in a way that extends the stuns further. That being said, the root from your E at the end of the combo extends the cc that little bit further for you to use another Q. It's more of a way to bully during lane phase. Bonus points if you hit the Q Flash AA and land 2 stuns with ult.

Damn so the gargoyle rush huh, when i played Leona my adc friend told me to rush knights vow into convergence every time but i can see why gargoyle is better
Its really bad dont ever do it. As a support you are always level down so sunfire damage are lowered, you dont give any bonus to your adc or get any cdr, knight vow and zeke are better and if you really want to get tanky just take stoneplate

I love going the burning part of sunfire into a righteous glory rush, then finishing the cape and transition into cheaper bruiser items, hell even deaths dance is fun or straight up warmogs, cdr in runes and W max. Got resistances enough with conditioning, then a fuckton of hp, lifesteal and shiet. Compleyely tilts the enemy like hell. Note: I’m a silver low elo scrub, that for a long time refused to play leona and permabanned her. Now I realised she can be fun, and 83% winrate past 22 games told me that she’s pretty damn effective in low elo, even though im not the best leo, or know how to build her properly.
Morgana doesn't counter leona in lane as propably many would think. As leona you can use the black shielded target as a gap closer, because your e still brings you to the person even while it doesn't root them, and then just go to the other target. So let's say you use e to morgana she will most likely shield herself and then you just full commit to the adc with your q (and ult if you have that).
That is true. However, the problem is that when you commit to your e on Morg, she will just q you before you get the chance to go after the adc If there's a Cait, you can forget about it. This can somewhat be mitigated *depending on the Morg player* is you position your engage close to enemy minions. In which case, I just walk through the minions as Morg q's.
Leona is one of my favorite champions, honestly have done pretty well this season with her but as a player who recently hit gold for the first time I was looking for some further help in my build, thanks for this video
One thing I would disagree with Bizzle on this guide is you should not ulti engage most of the time. Its very hard to land and unreliable engage. Always try to get your E to land rather than your ulti.

Can thornmail be a good item for leona? especially when enemy ad rush smth like blade of the ruined king, wont thornmail be a nice debuff u will basicly just deny the lifesteal the core reason a adc gets this item
Your 2nd runes recommendation are absolutely useless, if you struggle with engage as Leo hexflash wont help you and you don't need reuses as well. I would recommend presence of mind (no more mana problems) and coup the grace with double adaptive and relic shield it make sure your team will get kill at lvl2 if you can engage. Don't buy as your support item shoulder pads, there wont be that many aa, you will use more skills, especially your ulti, Q and W will make much more dmg then aa without any AD items. Knight vove is 99% best option for 1st item, have you even read description? (40 armor if you next to adc as designated person) gargoyle is useless as it needs 3 enemy's to give you 40 armour and 40 Mr. You did mention HP problems with Leo and still recommend gargoyle over knight vove, even that when your adc will do dmg you getting heals from that and take damaged directed at your adc. Just stay away from doing guides for tanks/hard engages as clearly it isn't your cup of tea or play them more often and pick up some real inside information.
Also raw ulting is questionable. In 5v5 teamfights it's okay, but in skirmishes (and, tbh, in most of the teamfights as well), connecting E first leads to waaaaay more consistent chain of control. If you are afraid of engaging with Leona as fight initiation, don't play her. Even with a couple of items she is absurdly tanky, given that her maxed W is just always on (like literally, it's 6 seconds long and its CD is 10 seconds, which combined with 30-40 cdr gives that 6 seconds).
Also yeah, in, say, 10sec scirmish in mid to late you will aa approximately 10 times which is extra 15*10=150 damage, and you will use your Q 3-4 times, your E 3 times, will pop your W twice, ult 1 time, and your W, E and R will hit 2 enemies on average,which results into about 600% AP, which for 25 bonus AP from Pauldrons gives the same amount of damage, but in teamfights and wave clearing it will give waaay more.
@@pa_3op TBH to lazy to count your math. But you seam to miss one big thing, AoE W, AoE R and E that often hits few ppl in team fights. I don't remember when is that last time I had time to do AA in team fights, most of the times you go in, stun few ppl go back so they change target or lure them deeper into your team.

Anyway, I'm doing all this auto-q-auto stuff when I'm in just because it's really one way for Leo in battle =) Yeah, obviously, if I know that I will get popped in a couple of seconds, then W-E-R-Q-aa-run for your life is a way to go, but most of the time I can tank it while my team is doing the damage, so there's no point in not autoing while you are on full CD.

Their is no "offical" build thoe, support buy base on the match up rether then having a core items. (Unlike the rest of the roles)

Always found leonas ult more useful as a tide turner mid fight than as an engage. Bladebreak into ult is solid as fuck for any situation tho

the ad item is for early laning phase, in early it gonna be better, because here u land lots of aa, later on yes its useless
