Two years ago, this became the first modfile I had ever seen. The lineout uploaded by Kasser sat in the back of my mind, until I was recommended the video again a year later, and actually decided to try this game out. This file is exactly what got me interested in NotITG, and to this day remains as one of my favorite modfiles. Thank you, Taro, for both introducing me to an incredible community, and melting my brain tenfold.
Doppelganger is the man who looks like him or her self and origin will be mad after seen that. So this chart has meaningful effects and emotions - different image, same meaning / positive, negative. I love this.
this stage makes me think of some sort of story-based rhythm fighting game, where this character capable of illusionary/nightmare magic achieves an impossible amount of power, enough to bend the game's rules itself to their will, and on this stage, instead of going for a high score or winning against your opponent, its just "objective: RUN"
Watch the arrow closely, and when it overlaps the corresponding target, hit the corresponding button. Some arrows move in tricky but predictable pathing towards the target. Predict it, then hit accordingly. The color determines the rhyhtm of the note (red = on the beat, blue = half beats). Read it, and hit accordingly. The color is almost never obscured, and when it is, you had plenty of time to see it before it went away. Never read close to the receptors. Always read further down the screen, to have more time to be able to react to changes. The on screen information has a priority queue. If you can't tell which direction the arrow is pointing (because it's e.g. spinning) then check if it's in a group of 4 columns. If it is, then the standard DDR/ITG "LDUR" is to be assumed, so an arrow in the leftmost column is hit by pressing left (when it overlaps the receptor). If you CAN tell which direction the arrow is pointing because this isn't changing as it moves, but you CAN'T find any neat group of 4 columns (e.g. in the Atom section), then the arrow's pointing direction is the only information you have, and thus, an arrow pointing RIGHT must be hit with the right button (when it overlaps the receptor). If you can't see any receptors at all, you must trust the rhythm of the music to know when to strike, but the ability to determine where columns are is a skill that must be learned. It's possible to intuit all these things over time by playing lots of easier content. This is not the easier content, this is the high level content for top players (it's lvl 17 or 18 out of 20). Other than that, skill issue
@@Taro4012ITG Thank you! I'll try to follow your tips. My laptop is pretty bad actually, so it runs some songs at a low frame rate, that could be the major problem. Also, that's a lot of text XD
This is more older than FNF, and kinda is superior than FNF with the current mechanics of other FNF mods since this had like hundreds of mechanics existed before FNF was even born
"Ligma Balls 2" at 2:15 will always be the best.

I really like part where note skin changed to text with different languages. Really creative
Yeah. All you have to do is read, right?! Lol
absolute masterpiece of a chart! love how "in the balls" is used as subtle foreshadowing for 3:02
If you look carefully, that background in full is "ligma balls 2" lol
