For those that did not know, this was a lead single released back in February 2002. Now 20 years ago. Say It Again was slated to be released in April 2002. This song shot up to #1 real quick without a video or hard promotion. In fact, the album could be played in full on her website and CHRISTIAN bookstores at this time. Once the album was pushed back for summer 02, the song was pulled. Eventually, we found out she signed with a mainstream label, and songs were to be added. Eventually, the album name was changed, songs were removed, & others changed. If you have the self titled CD, all the titles including a song Say It Again are collaged in the first image of the booklet.
Man! Can you believe it was 20 years ago. I remember being on websites waiting patiently for “Say It Again!” Lmbo. It took forever to come out and it eventually like you said became the “Stacie Orrico”, album. Her mainstream debut. It’s really unfortunate that she didn’t go further. She’s was so versatile and a REAL artist… Might I add a Sanger! I love her then, love her now. Soo apart of my teenage years. Also I remember them releasing like an EP at the time before the original album came out and it had this on it and I believe the Radio version of “Stay True”, and maybe 2 more of the album tracks that were reworked later on. I lovvvvvvved the “Stay True”, radio version.

Who remembers this being dropped on xtian radio in 02? 😭 I remember hearing the “bounce bounce bouncing” break with a group a friends and loosing our minds. 🙌🏽
Definitely prefer this one to the self-titled version. I actually found the Bounce Back enhanced single at a thrift store, and it basically has this version without the voiceover intro, but I think the intro sets a great vibe for the rest of the song's cool production.
