Yes, how horrible you were treated. I had a horrible childhood. When I came to the Lord, I remember going to Christian counselors. They showed zero compassion, empathy, and nothing. It was all legalistic. I just couldn't believe them. It was Jesus who gave me the Scriptures Psalm 27 showing me that He is my father. What kind of Christian counselors could not show me the correct Scriptures???? Instead they rip your heart out. Judge you that you are the one who is wrong. Everything is your fault that happened to you. It's just unbelievable. Too many religious ppl in leadership. I haven't yet net a pastor who I would go to for anything!

A 12 year old CANNOT enter a legal contract such as a NDA. The little girl CANNOT be held legally responsible for it. Her parents probably signed it and forced their daughter to abide by it, therefore they are also part of that crime. Everyone involved (the perpetrator and those who knew about it and forced the victim to keep quiet) should be charged with rape. Her parents should be charged also for covering it up. The worst form of betrayal is that of adults who are supposed to keep a child safe but abuse the child sexually. When Jesus will be done with them, they will wish they were never born. I think what Robert did was terrible and was a crime. I do not think he fully repented in this situation either. I doubt he will ever be in public ministry again. We need to know and understand our call of God as it will affect others lives and at the right time step into it. In all humility I know I am called to a publicly seen ministry but never will step in until I know I am healed. Last thing I would want is to hurt others even unintentionally because I have sin and healing issues. People need to take ministering to others seriously and wait until their issues are resolved.
We cannot and should not ignore what God is doing in this season inside the churches. God is cleaning house. Judgment must begin in the house of the Lord. I believe God is doing this to purify the church to get us ready for his return.

You are right. Too many pastors seeking approval of man above God and aren’t seeking holiness. (I am not saying all pastors. Just many are operating from the flesh.) Continuing to pray for a revival to happen among pastors where they seek God first. The challenge goes far beyond being only a mega church problem. I have seen these same challenges in smaller to medium sized churches as well.

Same. But I think it was 2018 or 2019 for me. All of the ‘celebrity highlighting’ convinced me that all was not well behind the scenes. I recognized that behavior from my previous church (First Euless) and didn’t want any part of it. And even before his health problems, he was often absent from the pulpit traveling around while others filled in. I really believed that Robert’s heart wasn’t in it. Very sad.

@@MsJulesYes, the term is mandated reporters. I recently finished my CE course for teachers on reporting child abuse, and the term is "mandated" reporters. As a teacher, if a student of mine would have come to me and told me that a pastor did this to her, I would have been obligated to report it.

I have been attending Gateway Church, Southlake Tx. I feel "duped" by hearing the news of Pastor Morris. I listen every day to his messages and relate to him 100%. To have these allegations come out is so sad. My sympathies to Cindy and her family and I pray that she can heal from coming clean with this. Pastor Morris DID in fact, leave out that little bit of information = 12 YEARS OLD!!!!! This is not a 'young lady" and if this was my daughter, I would probably want to kill him. We started going to Shady Grove in August 1987. I remember Robert and Debbie coming in after us because of the newcomer classes and they were behind us. This is how I feel. The facts he lied and tried to blame the girl-it's all sin and really just reveals his character-but God says we are all sinners in His eyes-we are no more or less than Robert Morris. I personally could never point a finger to him because I'm an equal sinner. God says so. All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

Not only were Morris's actions abominable sins, they were crimes. Every adult who knew the age of Cindy is complicit in the minimization of his crime. He and every other minister invloved should step down immediately, repent publically and make restitution to the victim. Unless believers hold these criminals accountable by no longer attending their ministries and no longer financially supporting them, how does this change? Holding people accountable for their actions in a costs them might bring the fear of the Lord to others who may be tempted to sexually abuse minors and others.
If he was sincerely apologetic with his fall from grace, he would have come clean, served his time. If he didn't get caught, would he continue this behavior? That is the question.

Thank you for your video. I've been a member at Gateway for years, and this information has been very difficult to process. You verbalized a lot of the thoughts I am having. It is so hard to wrap my brain around. I don't want to leave the church, but if he remains the leader, I can't stay. One thought I did have about the question that you asked the pastor of the megachurch is....are they not mandated reporters? I work in education, and we are required by law to report abuse to CPS if we suspect that it is occurring. I would think that clergy would be the same way. At the very least, CPS should be notified so they can complete an investigation.

I then at 15 had a stillborn and I was told by the entire church that like David in the Bible that is why GOD took my child due to sin. No one cared and no one had mercy. I had a mental break down due to what was said and the actions of the entire church. I understand there consequences for sin. GOD gave me pslams 139 and ps 62:5. All I am saying is the church needs to stop casting stones in ALL directions and start showing GOD's Love and mercy. And do NOT come at me as I am NOT defending his actions but I am saying The stones castes at me left a lot of scars and to this day I have anxiety when I go to church☹️ We need to put our faith and trust in GOD alone. 🙏🙏🙏

A 12 year old CANNOT enter a legal contract such as a NDA. The little girl CANNOT be held legally responsible for it. Her parents probably signed it and forced their daughter to abide by it, therefore they are also part of that crime. Everyone involved (the perpetrator and those who knew about it and forced the victim to keep quiet) should be charged with rape. Her parents should be charged also for covering it up. The worst form of betrayal is that of adults who are supposed to keep a child safe but abuse the child sexually. When Jesus will be done with them, they will wish they were never born.

We need to know and understand our call of God as it will affect others lives and at the right time step into it. In all humility I know I am called to a publicly seen ministry but never will step in until I know I am healed. Last thing I would want is to hurt others even unintentionally because I have sin and healing issues. People need to take ministering to others seriously and wait until their issues are resolved.
We cannot and should not ignore what God is doing in this season inside the churches. God is cleaning house. Judgment must begin in the house of the Lord. I believe God is doing this to purify the church to get us ready for his return.

Same. But I think it was 2018 or 2019 for me. All of the ‘celebrity highlighting’ convinced me that all was not well behind the scenes. I recognized that behavior from my previous church (First Euless) and didn’t want any part of it.
And even before his health problems, he was often absent from the pulpit traveling around while others filled in. I really believed that Robert’s heart wasn’t in it. Very sad.
He lied and downplayed what happened that is spiritual abuse and manipulation. Her father did not give his blessing for RM to be released to ministry, she was 12 years old, it happened over a span of 4 years where in the end at age 16 he tried to have intercourse with her. Lastly, the victim reports graphic details of how he mechanically raped her, far more atrocious than “kissing and petting”. He actually has been invited to speak on how to deal with moral failure in other videos on RUclips and yet has never been honest with his own, that’s called hypocrisy. I say this in righteous judgment we must call out sin for what it is.

I'm sorry, a 12-year-old is not a young lady, that's a kid. The predator: Rober Morris should step down as well as the elders who said it was okay that he return to the pulpit. Robert Morris is trying to clean it up, but he is a wolf and should leave the church and should not be allowed to preach again. I was sexually assaulted at age 5, please don't ask why the victim didn't come forward. I am incensed that the elders, who were obviously only thinking about the bottom line allowed Robert Morris to possibly have access to more children...Lord have mercy. What should happen is all of the young people in the church should be asked if they have had any inappropriate contact with anyone who is on staff at the church. In my opinion, all of the church staff including the head minister should have background checks and their fingerprints should be recorded. We have to get serious about the people who are supposed to take care of children and young people, they are tender-hearted, and they should be protected. Church, we have to do better. I think what Robert did was terrible and was a crime. I do not think he fully repented in this situation either. I doubt he will ever be in public ministry again. But I also do want to leave some room for the possibility that he made a really big mistake, he changed, and he decided to never do something like that ever again. My thoughts only apply if this turns out to be an isolated situation.
He covered it up & that is not a change of heart. I hope he truely repents. True Repentance is showing fruits like giving 1/3 of his Money towards helping victims of sexual abuse. That is is in the Torah. Zachicheus did that when he repented when he was overcharging the Israelis in their taxes and taking some for himself owed to the Roman Empire.

I have been attending Gateway Church, Southlake Tx. I feel "duped" by hearing the news of Pastor Morris. I listen every day to his messages and relate to him 100%. To have these allegations come out is so sad. My sympathies to Cindy and her family and I pray that she can heal from coming clean with this. Pastor Morris DID in fact, leave out that little bit of information = 12 YEARS OLD!!!!! This is not a 'young lady" and if this was my daughter, I would probably want to kill him. This victim will have to deal with this abuse for the rest of her life. He robbed her of her childhood by doing what he did. He should have served time for this and shame on the elders at Gateway for hushing this up!!!! She did not bring this upon herself by Pastor Morris' attorneys stating she pretty much asked for it with her flirtatious behavior. They ALL better repent for their sins!!!! I don't know now what the future holds for Gateway Church, I myself will most likely be looking for another Church. I also don't believe she is the ONLY victim as well! Once a predator, always a predator!!!!

We started going to Shady Grove in August 1987. I remember Robert and Debbie coming in after us because of the newcomer classes and they were behind us. Robert has always talked about an affair BEFORE he became a Christian. Of course we only thought he was exhausted from ministry and needed a break. I’m shocked but I do know God is exposing everyone right now.

Not only were Morris's actions abominable sins, they were crimes. Every adult who knew the age of Cindy is complicit in the minimization of his crime. He and every other minister invloved should step down immediately, repent publically and make restitution to the victim. Unless believers hold these criminals accountable by no longer attending their ministries and no longer financially supporting them, how does this change? Holding people accountable for their actions in a costs them might bring the fear of the Lord to others who may be tempted to sexually abuse minors and others.

Thank you for your video. I've been a member at Gateway for years, and this information has been very difficult to process. You verbalized a lot of the thoughts I am having. It is so hard to wrap my brain around. I don't want to leave the church, but if he remains the leader, I can't stay. One thought I did have about the question that you asked the pastor of the megachurch is....are they not mandated reporters? I work in education, and we are required by law to report abuse to CPS if we suspect that it is occurring. I would think that clergy would be the same way. At the very least, CPS should be notified so they can complete an investigation.
