Mine has about 30 options but it is the newest model. It is the first current model I ever owned and it is wasted on me. I knew some of these options like shake to remove but I did need a faster way to turn on the camera. My phone already has a flashlight button on the front when you turn it on. I know because I often press it by accident. I did not know until I just looked that I could turn this off. I call my youngest daughter when I need to know something about my phone. Thank you.
You’re almost right. The Apple logo is not a button. I use this feature all the time to quickly and easily mute all the sounds on my iPhone. You can double tap or triple tap anywhere on the back of your iPhone to run the command that you specified in the settings. By the way, , it’s a toggle. If you triple tap on YOUR iPhone a second time, it will turn off the light.
@@sophiacromwell8017 Did you assign the flashlight to either double tap or triple tap? If by double tapping or triple tapping on the back of your iPhone, turns on the flashlight, then by double tapping or triple tapping on the back of your iPhone, will turn off the flashlight.

On pretty much any Android phone, you've been able to double tap the power button to turn on the camera for several years now. But I guess iPhone's finally catching up. Hahahaha 😂🤣
@@roadrunner40 yeah, I loved that feature on my Moto phone. So damned handy. I missed it so much when I moved to a Samsung. Does anyone make an app to mimic the Moto gestures?
I discovered that I could turn my light by shaking the phone. I found out when speaking with someone face to face and was moving my hand while with phone 🤳. Cool find
Mine a. one plus 6 T mobile Double press power button to turn on camera. Three fingers swipe for screenshots. Double tap to turn on screen. Just raise phone to ear to answer calls.
You have been able to do this for a long time now. Definitely back in the days of my iPhone 11. I’ve always used it for screenshots. Just so much simpler.
It is a good one, but not a button. The SmartPhone just measures the impact on the phone with the IMU sensor (acceleration). It does it either way continuously. But if you use the function, it checks for the acceleration pattern of the double and tripple taps. You can use other positions than the logo to tap, as long as the impact is strong enough. And rythmic enough for counting as a pattern tap. That is why it is working also with the protection on. It dampens only a bit, so you might need to tap a bit harder with a case.
You can actually program the double tap and triple tap to perform functions other than turning on the flashlight and the camera. Just scroll down on the list of functions to select which functions you want it to do.
I have an android and I can do all of this. I don't have an "apple" button but you can assign different actions like flash and camera to double tapping or even shaking the phone
I'll have try this with my daughter phone later this is cool. She will love this. Cause she can't just shake her phone get light or camera to pop up. This is some easy access lol
Thank you. I have run into that setting before. I know where all the setting are. It didn't know that I had to tap the apple icon. I thought I could tap anywhere in the back. I thought I could tap with a case on. I never worked.
Thank you. I had no clue. Yes, it works with my charge friendly case on. I’m not sharing this with my son-in-law because he actually does know everything. He probably knows this hack too. 😂
I double tap for screenshots and don't have triple tap set up for anything. I saw it on a video I watched after one of the big updates. I have to watch a video to see all the new features and what to turn on/off after an update. Oh and it's not the Apple logo that does it. I've got an Otter Box Defender case on my phone and it still works if I tap anywhere on the back.
Usually the easiest things are both fun and just a bit infuriating. The power on button on my first Gateway desktop nearly did me in. Nothing in the manual after the full set up and I didn’t know the symbol. It was the early 1990s and I knew how to write a bit of code, could type but it took quite a bit to reach someone to help from the house landline.
With the motorola phone all you have to do is shake the phone a little to turn the light on and off. Super handy when you need the light on immediately.

Im still not buying an apple phone, i don't care if it comes with an automatic a$$ wiper attachment. Just sayin
