You don’t have to let it dry and scrape haha. Just work it in with elbow grease and wipe away in 30 seconds. Works just as well, every time. The abrasives in the paste is what makes it work.
Barkeepers friend works also. You can also sprinkle baking soda with a little dawn and peroxide. I let the paste sit overnight with a wet towel over it and just wipe clean in the morning.
The large number of us who have weak, arthritic, and/or inflamed joints hate scrubbing because it *HURTS LIKE HECK.* So, at least for me, I'm excited to try something that deep cleans *without* scrubbing, then having to suffer with extra pain for 3 days after!
@@revierr yes I know that but I want to see a comparison to see how effective it is. Is the cleaner better than simple soap and water or as there something better than both?
I just take the scraper to the caked on stuff, use the blue and green towels for glass cleaning I ordered on Amazon to clean the rest. Easiest clean on a flat top I have ever done. I haven't even bothered with using that polish. Heck, I don't use any chemicals on any glass surface anymore since buying those towels. Best purchase I have ever made! I have a link but I'm not sure RUclips is gonna allow it.
You don't have to use nearly that much of the Weiman's cleaner. You just put a little on a wet rag and spread it around. I use it all of the time. It works very well with just a small amount.
I clean my cooktop after every use. Much easier to maintain and it always looks great. I only use the blade on thick burnt on food and then just a small dab of the paste to finish. Cheaper that way.
You really shouldn't use the coarser side on glass/painted areas, it'll scratch it and remove paint!!! Barkeepers friend is amazing enough it'll take that ish off without drying. If you maintain control of a razor blade, its great, otherwise, it'll scratch the f%$# outta that glass You need a vacuum hack 😆 🤣 😂
My elbows don’t have enough grease anymore so I make a paste of baking soda and water and spread gentle over top. Don’t rub hard. Add hydrogen peroxide over the top or white vinegar, let sit about 30 mins and wipe away. It works great.
Been using that for probably…20+ years. No joke. I assumed everyone knew about it. And I’m with everyone else. Apply, wait just a bit, polish up. It’s just like cat wax in principle.
Wel If you're gonna use a blade..... shoot, you don't need expensive stove cleaner. Dawn and ammonia mix with water then blade off the grime. We use this method to clean windows with hard water and stickers from windows. That stove would be clean in a few mins. No need for all this drama.😂
Okay, you boys seriously need to buy "The Pink Stuff" cleaning supplies. The scrub You can use it on your stove top but inside your oven too. And no blade needed. They have several different cleaning products, but it's safe to use on just about anything. Grab yourself a scrub daddy or mommy and put in that elbow grease, voila! And to keep your stove top from getting so gross, clean it after every use, you can thank me later 😂🤘😌
Ummmm you can literally soak the shit with water and use a razor scraper. This is not necessary at all. Just use a razor scraper for baked on shit on a glass stove.
"Apparently this hack can make your stove tops look brand new." The hack? Cleaning it. Follow the instructions on the bottle of cleaner. That's it. Just use the product in the directed manner for it's intended purpose.
Hey, my families been using this since I was a kid, you’re supposed to wipe it of with something soft like a towel. Promise it works. The main ingredients in that Is an abrasive and wax.
You could have just used the razor alone but you are going to scratch that surface. All you need is some elbow grease and a good cleanser. I always use bar keepers friend.
I hate to ruin your fun experiment, but I just use a tiny puddle of the cleaner and clean with a damp paper towel. Quickly rinse it of and dry with clean towel. 🤣🤣
I have already seen several responses about how it doesn't need to dry, elbow grease, etc, so I won't beat a dead horse (and yes, they are correct.) My question is, when did people stop reading instructions? Bc i own the exact SAME product, and nowhere in the instructions does it say to let DRY and scrape with a razor blade. I guess people are not only losing their common sense, but their ability to read as well, smh. 🤦♀️🤷♀️😅
I'm a grown man as well, but here's a radical idea! Don't let it get that crusty in the first place! I use hot, not boiling, cleaning vinegar (10% acetic acid) and a similar window scraper REGULARLY. No build up to deal with, ever. CHEERS

Absolute masters of Dad jokes . Love these guys 🤣🤣
HIS SHIRT LMAOO-
You're right. That is satisfying.
Who woulda thought.. you can clean a glass stovetop with “glass stovetop cleaner”….
I know..what an amazing "hack"
I think it was more the technique they were excited about 😅
Baking soda and water and one of those blades works just as good. And a lot less chemical.
Next time use baking soda with cleaning vinigar 😊
Barkeepers friend works also. You can also sprinkle baking soda with a little dawn and peroxide. I let the paste sit overnight with a wet towel over it and just wipe clean in the morning.

Razor by itself works
What's worse than nails on a chalkboard is a scraper on a stovetop 🤣
What I want to know is, what's the difference between using the glass cleaner and just using the scraper on its own?
The glass cleaner will attach to the dirt making it easier to remove.
@@revierr yes I know that but I want to see a comparison to see how effective it is. Is the cleaner better than simple soap and water or as there something better than both?
Should of done half n half
@@rayeittastay2458 Well I'm not entirely sure but I would assume it might be more effective because it was made specifically to clean glassy surfaces.
Don’t listen to these kids, the scraper cleans it great without the chemicals. Might need water to help lunricate
Do it even quicker by just using the scraper and some manual effort. The scraper is what did the work, not that cleaning product.
I love how you scraped in one swoop but then you just started going at it 😂
yall learning a lot of things😂
The pun levels weren’t as high, must have been one of those mondays
No product needed. Just scrape.
Baking soda paste works really well too on glass stove tops.
I just take the scraper to the caked on stuff, use the blue and green towels for glass cleaning I ordered on Amazon to clean the rest. Easiest clean on a flat top I have ever done. You guys are toooo funny. You don't have to let it dry. I clean my cook top like that and its very effective.
A razor is a good way to clean glass with any cleaner as long as no tint or film is on the glass
You don't have to use nearly that much of the Weiman's cleaner. You just put a little on a wet rag and spread it around. I use it all of the time. It works very well with just a small amount.
I'll bet you could have put water on it and scraped with the same results. LOL
Dan makes the best oven toaster strudels
Cool!! Just want to say shirt fits you very well and definitely the truth. Lol 🥰
I don't use the cleaner. I just carefully scrape with a razor blade. Works every time and no waste.
If u wanna use the scraper on the glass..probably u dont need anything else🤣
It’s like the biggest scratch ticket ever!! lol
the scraper would of lifted it if you soaked it first with warm soapy water, I have a scraper for mine & they work brilliant...
I think he works at an ice cream shop, he just practicing his rolling skills
I clean my cooktop after every use. Much easier to maintain and it always looks great. I only use the blade on thick burnt on food and then just a small dab of the paste to finish. Cheaper that way.
The scraper alone will fetch it off…way too much product!

Kaercher WD3. Ideal for bigger dirt and lots of animal hair.

Thank you!

😂 That's a big oven toasters strudel 🤣
Dawn and baking soda. Scrub it with a scrub brush or scrubber. Wipe off. Easy, done.
You don't need any cleaner at all. You can just scrape it off. 😅
So basically we’ve been using glass top cleaner all wrong all this time.
I do that with cif but don’t use the scraper just rinse off having left it to dry overnight.
Wel If you're gonna use a blade..... shoot, you don't need expensive stove cleaner. Dawn and ammonia mix with water then blade off the grime. We use this method to clean windows with hard water and stickers from windows. That stove would be clean in a few mins. No need for all this drama.😂
So the hack is to use glass cleaner lol
You just have to be careful around the edges because (at least with mine) the stove has a layer of like silicone caulking type stuff around it.
Okay, you boys seriously need to buy "The Pink Stuff" cleaning supplies. The scrub You can use it on your stove top but inside your oven too. And no blade needed. The only thing new you need to get is a vacuum ... That thing sucked... Ah, didn't suck...
You dont need to scrape it or use nearly what they did. Just squirt some on and use a cloth in a circular motion then rinse with a clean cloth.
Lookin sharp😂
I love your content. Makes my day here in new zealand 😊
Imma thinkin maybe just use the razor by itself 🤔
This is not a hack. This is literally the products instructions besides the hours long dry timing 😂
Fellas this is not a secret lol, this is standard glass cooktop cleaner, been around for decades lol
Ummmm you can literally soak the shit with water and use a razor scraper. This is not necessary at all. Just use a razor scraper for baked on shit on a glass stove.

Hey, my families been using this since I was a kid, you’re supposed to wipe it of with something soft like a towel. Promise it works. The main ingredients in that Is an abrasive and wax.
Mr. Clean at it again
If you want to do it a safer way without the risk of scratching the glass use a plastic razor blade
You could have just used the razor alone but you are going to scratch that surface. All you need is some elbow grease and a good cleanser. I always use bar keepers friend.
You didn't need the cleaner, you just need the razor blade. Then you can put a little cleaner to buff it up.
Interesting - I need some of that secret stuff.
FYI, you don't need to use anywhere that amount
I love your videos
The sound of the stovetop glass scratching 😭
You didn’t need to use that much. You could have cleaned that stove top at least ten times with that amount of cleaner.
The more you know. XD. Love the videos keep it up
I need your shirt...😂
I need that for mine cos my oven top is stuck on with heavy greece and grime
Maybe the razor could do it? I know the cleaner definitly helped.
How do you do a video like this and not tell us what the product is?!?

Well you do not need that white staff, I use exact same tool to gently scrap the dirt off of my stove top…spreading white was extra…
NOOOO. You’re not supposed to “scrub” it! Using one of those scrubby‘s on your glass top, if you scrub too hard, will scratch the heck out of it.
that looks GREAT! 😁
The thing y’all didn’t know was that the blade does that without the chemicals or drying, sharp steel against glass nothing stands a chance to try it🤪
I hate to ruin your fun experiment, but I just use a tiny puddle of the cleaner and clean with a damp paper towel. Quickly rinse it of and dry with clean towel. 🤣🤣
I'm doing this, if I mess up my stove top I'm suing you two.
So, how did it go?

@@babybluecheeks ok, let me know when ur done
and if you have minor damages then toothpaste and toothbrush, rub it in in circular motion

We just use ash, and it works like magic.
Ash? From fireplace or cigarettes?
It's not a hack if that's what the instructions say.
I have already seen several responses about how it doesn't need to dry, elbow grease, etc, so I won't beat a dead horse (and yes, they are correct.) Coconut oil and razor blade...
Oil also cuts oil😮
Forbidden oreo ice cream roll
Next time, just use a little soapy water and a stainless blade. It's the blade cleaning it, not the bs cleaner.
Actually curious, would the blade alone have done as well as without the glass polish cleaner?
Most likely lol
I was thinking the same.
💯
Blade alone works great with fresh stuff, if it is burned in a good cleaner helps a lot. Also the blade does not remove an oily film .
The question is did you need for it to dry? Could it have come clean without having to do all the scraping?
That’s not how you use hob cleaner 😂
