Learned of Larry Howard at Harvest Cathedral Macon Ga. I bought his music there and loved his raspy voice. Loved his Blues. I think the thing I love most about Larry was the simplicity of songs. The words were so powerful and sweet. He made it easy through his music to do his work for the Lord. He was an awesome witness. I just learned that he has passed over to the other side. My thoughts was surprised, but then I knew right away where he resides and that’s in the loving arms of Jesus! I know Jesus was happy with Larry’s work down here on earth. He was a faithful son to the Father. Larry had a powerful anointing on his life, he truly ministered to me through the years through his music! And wow what a great show tonight! God bless your family because the missing hurts. May the Holy Spirit hover round about you all to this day.
Wow what and awesome show! This video was so very enjoyable to me! Can’t get much better than the Blues singing about Jesus! Goodness gracious, great to know the Lord was lifted up one song right after another! And God gifted talent from all who performed including every instrument player. I had this on a CD when this came out. It included an awesome version of Margaret Becker singing lean on me. Unfortunate that it didn't make it into this vid. Haven't heard a version like that before or since. And I wore that CD out. Played it for years. Now it cant be replaced.

When I was doing life in prison in Angola, La., Larry would come get me with permission of the warden and we'd talk of the days back when and he'd have some special projects he was going to do in Angola and he always included me and/or a band I was in at the time.. we recorded a band from nearly every prison in Louisiana for a C.D. he wanted i as pent about 18 hours a day for over a week with Larry, his beautiful wife Peggy and his brother Jeff from North Carolina and we had a good time with the project. He appointed me over the musician aspect of it to be sure each knew what I strument he wanted to use and there was many. My job also entailed making sure each band was ready and to keep it on time after hours was lots of prayer between the 4 of us and all praise, glory and honor being given to who was responsible for letting us do a project of that magnitude in the middle of the biggest prison in the country . GOD allowed it and be successful . I am m home now which is also because of God because I was sentenced to die there but God saw differently. Truly wish Larry and Peggy was alive to see me leave that place.
Very proud of my dad. He's not with us on earth anymore, but he definitely made his mark on the blues. Glad people are still enjoying his music!
