- Rye cover crop is growing and we need to get it fertilized before the rain comes.
After several days of rain, farmer was able to get back into the seat of the excavator and drop a dead tree from our pasture.
I make some whipped tallow, which is great for the skin.
The chicks are out growing their little brooder and I need to move them into the bigger one.
Thanks for watching!!

❤❤❤❤❤
I thought Kevin changed his mind and was going to stand the tree back up there for a little bit. 😂 Have a good week .
He tried to see if it would stand back up. 😆
Happy Sunday on the farm 😁
Everyone is always busy. Kevin seems to enjoy the new toy.
Thanks
❤
Good morning always glad to get to see you there's always something to get done on the farm 🤠🍀🐄
Thank you for showing us your daily activities. We appreciate seeing what you do in a day. 👍🏻
We used chicken poo for fertilizer this season, might use liquid urea next but aren’t sure on the ratio. We got 1500 gallons for free.
So nice to see all the new life on the farm. I remember "groovy" belts from the 60s. They were wider and had large buckles.😁 Too bad about the car and the deer. Tell the kids to stop playing kissy face and watch the road🙃. Thanks for another wonderful video. Nice treat on a Sunday morning.
Why is it every time I see there's a new Acres of Clay posted a certain Beach Boys song starts playing in my head? Just love your channel and genuinely nice hard working farm family Ronda.
Thanks!! 😄
🎶 🎶
Living in a rural area there are lots of deer. I recall one of your previous videos showing a deer antler in a field. I recall it damaging a tire. Deer and vehicles can be a problem. It is good that no one was injured. My cousin in Saskatchewan hit a deer causing $5000 damage to his Ram diesel. Fixing it yourselves saved a lot of 💰 .
Have a great blessed day Ronda always enjoy your videos.
Thanks!
Hi, Ronda and Happy Sunday!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍. Those cows are so big and strong. Nice! Also, the field looks nice and clean with the claw crane. Well done!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍. Plus, there's a surprise! The Solar Eclipse 🌗 is tomorrow and it starts....ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! AHHHH!😮😮😀😀😍💙😎☀🌗🎂🎉🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍. I'm so excited!!😀😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
Happy birthday!
@@acresofclayhomestead Thank you!😊😀😙💙💙💙💙💙💙🎂🎇🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖😊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
@@acresofclayhomestead Thank you!😊😙💙🌷💖😊🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍
Kevin is making good use of the excavator. That fertilizer spreader looks like a brand new one, good job guys.
Must be Sunday cows are milked church is done time to watch acres of clay
Your Family doesn’t need a Repair Facility because you Fix whatever you need to Fix and make Repairs for your Neighbors. Super Talented and Super Blessed! 👍🙏
Always enjoy going along with you on your road trips!
When my wife was still with us, she frowned on my use of "brain fart". So I started using "cranial flatulation" instead. The guys sure have gotten proficient in the excavator fast. With all the beef cattle lost in the TX fires, has there been an uptick in the bull calf market? Beautiful markings on the twins. Blessings for the family and farm, have a safe week.
Prices for calves are strong right now.
@acresofclayhomestead we sold 100 cows at 3200 a head😁
Save that hickory wood for the smoker grill.👍
Great idea!! Thanks!
Great video Rhonda, nice to see a fine day, it's been raining here in ireland since October.
Beautiful calfs
Wow Ethan did an amazing job painting!! It will really pop with the decals on. Hope Seth and Mackenzie are alright, Sydney should have his own mechanics channel. He would be very successful. I also wanted to thank Kevin for explaining the fertilizer and rye amounts, I'm curious to see if it works out. Good luck Kevin! I super enjoyed this video, thanks Ronda.
make sure you put your order in for garden fertilizer lol.
Great video
new kind of logging right there lol
Ronda all you need is many many more chickens, and you could skip buying nitrogen.
Yes! 😄
Are we going to hear about Sydney's trip?
I wanted him to talk about it in a video, but I guess he's been so busy that we've never sat down and made a video of it. :(
Use the Hickorywood for barbecue. Everything’s looks good on Farm Enjoy the video as always your friend from Virginia.
Good morning and great video Rhonda. Kevin was playing with the excavator 😂😂. The calves and chickens are cute. Take care and have a blessed and safe week 🙏
Really enjoyed your video
Thank you!
I bet listening to those cows eat reminded you of when you had the kids sitting around the table for breakfast when they ate🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol! Yes, it's the same sound!! 😆🤣
Definitely Acres of Clay that he is digging in!
Thank you and God bless!!! Eddy
thanks!
If the excavator could talk,.....it would be saying that it likes it here, and has found its "forever" home, with a family that will take care of it!!!
Great family!!😇!😇
Always good to see you, your family and the farm!!!!
If I had that, I would be playing too.
Hey Rhonda great video your guys ever run a skid steer with tracks
No
Awesome video I really enjoy seeing all your videos looking forward to seeing more on the farm take care God bless
good job! you guys are natural born fixer uppers!
Some adorable little calves there, that brown heifer is a doll. The excavator is really coming in handy, good job on the tree. Good luck on the chicks and the rest of the other projects you all have going on. I hope you all have a great week.
Thanks for the cover crop info again. Great to hear what other farmers are doing for fertilizer and cropping. I’m going to combine some of our triticale this year. The seed was really expensive last summer.
Hope everything goes well for you!
Great stuff Everyone, Hard luck Mackenzie, pesky deers😐👌👍🙏🙂
I could watch a excavator work all day. 😊
Kevin not always but most of the time he doesn't look like he's working with that smile he looks like he is playing.
We plant rye mixed with alphalpha cows love it
I'm glad no one was hurt when they hit a deer I c that Kevin loves it in the mud looks like fun love you guys ❤have a good week
👋🐴🇧🇪❤️🙏
We grow 900 acres of triclate 15 of certified seed acres. Harvest and plant in fall works well. In Wny. Cows love it.
Oh no. You can harvest triticale for grain, know people that do it
Beautiful calves , excavator great work.
Urea is used here in Australia getting dear , love you all ❤❤❤❤
So you "can" dance !! I just seen that video
Hi lady & gent, Very nice informative video. Great close up shots of the girls chomping away at the hay. And Ronda, the FF + music was really cool. Non farm people never experience farm babies so showing all of them was especially Wonderful. Thank you for sharing the farm life. ben/ michigan
👍👏👌
👋🏼😎
another great video
Tilapia and catfish love brackish water and thrive in those holding ponds, and makes for another resource of food for the farm! And fun to go fishing in also!
Don’t think tilapia can survive temps around here
Hello Ronda, hopefully Mother Nature works with you and not against you
I don’t think I could ever perform and plan as good as Kevin, I am more mechanically minded meaning I can operate machinery very well, I wish I could hop into the calf barn and give the calf’s some snuggles and cuddle with them. They are so cute. Love all your videos
As always your friend from Massachusetts ❤😊
Grean Acres of Clay,,,, The boys are enjoying there new toy, Kevin and Ethan I'm sure have lots of projects that are now available to them. I'm sure you will cover it soon, maybe on the kitchen Chanell. How are your seedlings doing? What's the Rocket scientist up to? Sanders is a very nice brother; I'm sure M gives him free haircuts :) Thank you for this week's episode, and God Bless you and your family.
Seedlings are growing and doing great. I still need to do more planting. Maybe this week...
Sanders is now 16 and driving, so he's been spending a lot of his time making sure his truck is in top-notch condition.
For urea, you could also ask Kevin to go "whiz" in your field. 😂 (Urea is produced in the kidneys.) I enjoy watching your RUclips videos. We usually cannot watch your video until after church. However, because of my recent knee replacement surgery, we now Live Stream our Sunday service.
what does the oats look like that you guys planted earlier? does anybody on here know if you can plant red wheat behind oats? i am wondering if it would work or not? i know you shouldnt plant wheat behind corn
Wheat is planted behind corn all the time. Yes, you can plant wheat behind oats, too.
@@acresofclayhomestead we up northern michigan you will never see use plant wheat behind corn. i was told that wheat will get a disease in it. i dont know but thats what i was told. that is why i am wondering if oats and wheat would be a bad thing. there in the same grass family
Część ładny warsztat i wyposażony mam podobny tylko dużo mniejszy też remontujemy sami swoie maszyny pozdrawiam z Polski Henryk
Good afternoon
I like your RUclips video and I hope you and your family doing okay today on Sunday
Do you got a coffee cup ☕ for sale on your store
That excavator looks like a good machine you guys got, I've always had good luck with the case construction equipment. Happy Sunday!
I do know that you can plant wheat behind beans. Wheat loves nitrogen. I am just curious about oats and wheat. I am thinking the straw will make up the difference maybe?
Hi Ronda ....
Who is the manufacturer of the wheel barrel you used to haul the hay ? I think that is more practical than the wooden handle ones at our hardware store.
Is it just me or have you noticed that cows exhaled breath smells like milk ?
Not sure the make of the wheel barrel. I never smell milk on the cows' breath...
It didn't take long to get your new toy to work.
I bet silage juice got your tree
It wasn't doing good before we put the silage piles there, but I bet the juices didn't help it any.
Where's the truck
The red truck is out of the shop, and my youngest has been driving it around now that he's 16.
Died on its own, really
19:06
Can I use that on exama
you need to build a shit pond or two to catch the heavy shit and the water go to your water pond
Every year I sow triticale from my own harvest. Every year I buy new seeds for a small piece of field. Next year I have enough for all the fields and again I buy a small piece of the field to have for next year.
There are farmers who do this with hybrid rye and barley. Opinions vary. I sow them as population varieties.
Like your fruit trees. They survived the frosts. Mine are blooming like crazy. We have warm weather, I wonder what the harvest will be.
Thanks for sharing!!
