Love this. Yeah I came across it in the MP ad. That high E crazy, finally figured it out. Never would've without this video! Transcribed the whole thing!
Hello! Great sound! What can you say about this mouthpiece, is it comfortable? I’m playing jumbo java 45, but looking for piece without high baffle) can you play all music genres on this piece? Many thanks
Mouthpieces are very individual, but this is definitely a warmer mouthpiece than a jumbo java. Super comfortable to play (for me) & while I'm more of a tenor player, I use it for all genres.
Hi Jason, so for your preferences what's the differences with Phil Woods Series and NY Jazz that you used before? and how about brass chamber ny for alto model? btw You have really nice sound! thank you
I prefer the Phil Woods model. Seems to be a little bigger/fatter than the NY Jazz. Both great mouthpieces though. I haven't tried the NY Jazz alto with brass chamber, but I do really like the brass chamber on my NY Jazz tenor as well as my Contemporary Rollover mouthpiece on bari.
Cool playing man. May I ask you what do you think about the mouthpiece? I would like to buy the exact same piece - 7 opening. Do you recomend it for me? Thank you!
@@JasonWeberSax Thank you for your experience. Cutrently I am looking for some "backup" mouthpiece you know that feeling. You bever have too much good mouthpieces 😇😅🙄. I am playing on Pillinger NY alto nr. 7 med. chamber.
@@davidolahmusic Actually, I like to just stick with one mouthpiece. This one does everything I need. Check it out. They have a great return policy if you decide it's not right for you.
Im planning to buy a Drake mouthpiece but I have doubts between the Phil Woods model and the NY jazz model...what do you think its better and more free blowing? Thanks in advance
Hey Jason I happened to revisit this just, and I'm amazed you're still getting responses and responding. This video really hit a nerve (and altE) Its still amazing! Great playing. Thanks
Beautiful tone and intonation. Both warm and edgy at the same time. Beautiful flow through the chords.
Thanks!

Great Cover. What’s the name of the blowing technique at 1:29?
Most people would probably call it a "split tone".
This is perfect in my saxophone world!! Were you possibly in Milwaukee Wisconsin playing about 15 yrs ago?
I gigged regularly in Milwaukee from '94 to '97 before moving to California. After that, I was still back in Wisconsin playing a few gigs a year.

How did you make the backing track so real sounding for this song in band in a box? I’d like to know, because I purchased band in a box windows 2020
Nothing special. There are a lot of styles to select from. Can't remember which one I used but it was pretty easy.

It's actually in A minor (concert key). F# minor on alto...
