People already forget that even last year GSW were pretty solid, they didn't get to playoff pretty much because they failed to cap off A LOT of close games.. this season they are visibly even more fired up than last year, they are really going for it!
Its not an argument. Steph is still one, if not the best player in the NBA. Remember that in the last 2 seasons Kerr wasn't using him well by latting him play off the ball most of the time thereby limiting gis touches and shot attempts.
They are definitely contenders because of their defense and you have Curry who can go god mode at any time. Plus a cornacopia of riches on the bench. But like any team, they have to stay healthy. Man are they fun to watch!
I would say we are back for the simple fact we are not even playing up to our full potential yet. Once we get those turnovers under control its over for the league
2:45 this is exactly why the Pacers fkd up. Not keeping him for what he does great and finding that role. Trading Bruce Brown, their point of attack Defender and letting Jalen Smith go. Unless Pascal can be a beast of Defense and continue to stretch the floor. It was never worth it to trade and pay him that kind of money. All these thing's have been the reason for their fall.. They could have had Hartenstein, had saved their picks, traded Nembhard for Caruso, kept Smith and found a role for Heild.. While still having the opportunity to sign OG, or any other SF for cheaper.. and they'd been one of the best team's in the league.. while also having an extra pick this year.. and their 2026 1st... No one player that's not even on their timeline, who's also already regressed. Is worth all that.. Idc how Pascal plays, they'd been much better if they'd never done that trade.
I don't see anyone beating the CAVS this year. A young OKC would be their toughest matchup, or the Wolves/Mavs. This GSW I don't see as a playoff GSW team. Depth will be the problem for most team's in the league right now. As long as the Cavs don't get distracted by trying to get the record W's like the previous GSW team. Rest guy's late in the season, as long as they have health. I don't see anyone able to contend. Celtics would have to have Horford turn back the clock, a healthy Kristaps will be their X-Factor.. and then Tatum will have to be at his best with Brown. Knicks could be a problem if they figure thing's out. Get Mitchell Robinson completely healthy for the playoffs. Guy's like McBride and Kolek step into a rythem. They have the pieces, I think it's too early to say what they are right now.. But another 15 to 20 game's should show if they're going to be ready to beat a team like the Cavs this year.. That Cavs team has all the chemistry, front court and backcourt in the world right now.. with depth on top of it.. I don't see how if healthy that they don't win a championship.. Then you have playoff Spida Mitchell, who is on another level from regular season Spida.. smh
The Celtics are going to dog walk y'all it's not even funny. Experience and talent will take over. Garland and Mitchell aren't no defenders and Mobley ain't no defensive anchor. GS can beat any team in a 7 game series. It's called PEDIGREE. The Wolves with Randle is not enough and the Mavs beats them if Klay can play better cause the version of Klay we're seeing now isn't going to cut it. The Cavs do look good, but I don't trust them in the playoffs, and plus they're unproven. The Celtics will be waiting on y'all if the team stays healthy. Keep counting out GS though cause they do a good job of proving people wrong.
They might be on to something with the blitz defence

There's just one thing they should address. How to defend teams that have the length. That's their waterloo right now.
