I was at this game last night and the energy he brought to that building and the team was crazy. He allows OKC so much more flexibility especially once Chet returns. Our guards have been having to battle bigs since we didn’t have any bigs and you could see the physical toll it took on them once the 4th quarters came around. If we had IHart before last night we probably we have a similar record to Cleveland
He fills a much needed hole for them with his size and also ability to playmake and give them another dynamic offensively. Can’t replace Chet by iHart is a nice Center to have until Chet can come back
Hartenstein doesn't shoot the 3 but always hustling on the boards and on defense. Also a smart passer and he sets good picks. Always active. Perfect guy to play along side Chet if they ever want to go big. Or just use him as Chet's backup. Knicks should have offered more to keep him. Thunder should be going to the Finals if they stay healthy.
european big man and good playmaking goes hand in hand atp, always thought that the knicks used him completely wrong by just dumping him into the dunker spot or using him just as a PnR sceener
Hartenstein is from Oregon lol.The Knicks used him exactly the same as OKC is.He was hitting the floater and running sets after Randle went down.OKC just has better spacing than last years Knicks.
@ bro plays for the german nationalteam and played his first 8 season in europe pffft also they were not using him as a facilitator but as a PnR screener as i already said before damn made him shush real quick 🤫
@@BrooklynBalla yes, he was born there and lived his childhood in Oregon, but his father is german. His father played later in Germany for Gießen and Quakenbrück where his son learned the game of basketball (his father was btw a HORRIBLE player). So he actually learned basketball in Europe, he is german and wants to play for the german national team in the future. Perhaps already next year during the European championships.
I remember when he came into the league, I thought that's a hard German name 🤣 Last year he really improved, he became better than I thought he was going to be; Im a Kings Fan 👍
Hart fills a void that was massively exposed in the playoffs against Dallas. If OKC is healthy going into the playoffs and can stay that way they're the team to beat.
Hartenstein makes others better in both ends and does a good job in the "hub" role. KAT is really good at shooting and pretending his voice has bass, no wonder NY is struggling with chemistry
Kat is a more skilled player but he can also be passive and make silly mistakes. Hartenstein is all hustle and makes good decisions. He showed that in the playoffs last year.
I'm sick of the 40 plus 3-point shots per game. My solution would be to give each team 20 3-point attempts per game. First 20 count as 3 if you make them -- after that they are just 2. It would force teams to use them intelligently -- save them for the end of games, have your best shooters use them, etc. But it won't happen. It would definitely stop the madness and force teams to go inside again.

I love his stat line right off of his injury. He’s gonna do great at OKC
Dudes a beast and changed the game so much. This team is very dependent on a center. Can you imagine us with jokic?
If okc had jokic we would win 8 straight rings
Us?😂😂😂

Such a good signing for OKC! Great video showcasing his strengths and love your enthusiasm :)
Okc is scary as hell.. Lets go.. Chet get well soon.. Cant wait till we are full force.. Lets Go Thunder
Happy for OKC. Sad for the Knicks- he was the perfect fit for that team.
Miss him on the Knicks man he did this every game and he was so reliable in crunch time.. he just plays winning basketball high IQ player
Thanks for him. Hope KAT works for you guys cuz Randle was not him
I knew he was good but didn’t realize he was quite this good. Perfect fit for us.
We needed size and it showed. And bro is BIG
Please let us get and stay healthy. We looked almost this good once, I can almost taste the chip. TTFU!

höhö looking forward for next German world cup. wasn't even on roster last year, was beefing with Schröder. this will be fun! greetings from Berlin 🐻
kleber was beefing with schröder hartenstein just wanted to focus on his nba game and split the offseason between training for the world cup and nba
@@d.k.s.8706 exactly. Tristan Da Silva will also be good for the team
When the rockets drafted him and played him it’s no way I thought he would make it lol.
I’m really happy for him with all of his hard work paying off.

Knicks could offer only so much. He got at least 33 million more with the Thunder.

Technically he is American, he was born in Eugene when his dad played ball at Oregon.
@@deanfirnatine7814 never said anything else but where did he learn how to play basketball germany or the US ?
One would have to say...YES...Though the season will tell...
This man said “boom Shaka laka” 😂
I don’t like the Thunder, but I love Hartenstein! Thanks for the vid 👍

was able to draft this big man in the 13th round.... man is a walking double double
I remember his dad Flo Hartenstein playing at Oregon

Exactly. Chet is slim and not a banger down low. Hartenstein fills that void. Defense and rebounding should be great if Thunder play them together.
He was an eastern conference backup center , now suddenly he is all star caliber . oK
That's your zero effort, trash take?
did you work hard to be a more on...
🥶😨😰😱
lakers shouldve acquired him if possible
W vid
Will he start when Chet gets back?
It will depend on matchups. If they need to go big, Chet will slide to the 4. If they don't need to play big, Hartenstein will back up Chet.

He is also half black?! Father is black I think.
I could finally watch Thunder games again. I couldn't watch all five players set up outside the three and just chuck up shots. This is basketball.
OKC's still gonna run four-outs regularly. Three point shooting is a huge part of the offense.
