Railroad Diamonds, Huge Freight Trains, Ohio Trains Of CSX & Norfolk Southern In Fostoria, Ohio

- The railroad diamond interlocking up close in Fostoria, Ohio. A huge CSX freight train pounding the diamond forever right in front of us with just about everything. Then a fast unit train of grain passes us before another Norfolk Southern mixed freight comes across the diamond. This is a railfan hotspot in northern Ohio. Known as The Iron Triangle Park, this is a big park with an observation platform next to the diamonds, a restored caboose, bathrooms and plenty of parking. I went there with Millenniumforce and his crew to catch some trains on one of the last weeks of warm weather in Ohio. Filmed October 8, 2020. Thanks for watching!
Please thumbs up and watch another JawTooth video to help my channel.
Check out my steam train playlist for some really cool videos including the Big Boy! I also have other railroad videos of all types including short lines, street runners and cabooses in action. Please watch another video to help support my channel:

Trains are fascinating but useful in our lives for moving people and goods from one place to another.
Thank God for technology and the brain He has given unto us. Thanks JT
I work for the railroad...and I watch videos of the railroad
The way that this track is laid out so that you can see almost 360 degrees circle makes it look like a full size model railway!
They did something like that caboose around where I live ( Buffalo NY ) years ago and turned it into an ice cream stand . A big covered platform with benches to sit on . Still a very popular spot in the summer .
Sometimes when I hear the train go over a diamond, with the noise pattern it makes, I like to believe that it’ll make a great song.
12:40 that train was really bouncing on that diamond, it's crazy to me how trains don't derail doing that, very cool
Man, that NS Grain Bulker was shifting! There's a few Railway-related restraunts and Snack-Bars opening up using old railway/rail-road wagons/cars. Fostoria looks quite a place. Cheers Jaw Tooth! You folks Keep Well out there!
Thanks for watching and have a great week!
I counted 100 cars on the first train. I'm in awe of what 2 engines can move even if they are running on level ground.
I was guessing most of the stock was low weight or empty...
A lot of Chinese goods....
This is a very busy Diamond with a Lot of CSX and NS Trains. Thanks for sharing the content. 👍
Thanks for watching
NW Ohio is CSX and NS territory big time.
I'm always a little shocked when I see some UP or CN power on some of these trains up here. I saw the NS Heritage unit 1067 "The Bee" (Reading RR) a few months back. That was pretty cool.
@@robertscharlow Was it on 21T or 148? I got it on 21T when it came west.
@@thenorthwestohiorailfan3007 I don't know those numbers. NS internal numbers?
It was on the NS (Ex Conrail, the old Lakeshore and Michigan Southern! A very, very, very busy line.) Toledo to Chicago double tracked mainline, in Toledo. Heading eastbound
@@robertscharlow Oh ok, I have seen a few trains on those tracks.
Got all the big stars in this one son! Jawtooth, Millenniumforce.......
That’s great!! Live Action!!!
Hi Jaw Tooth!! I have my mom watching with me today!, she loves trains too!! Thank you for sharing with us!!
That is awesome!
I wish my family loved trains as much as I do
JT, on the first train, I counted 100 cars plus engines, the second was 82 and the third was 70. With the panning, l may be one or two off. Always enjoy your videos and your spoken and written comments. Keep up the good work. (the kitty's pal from near Athens,Ga)(you published this on my bd - thanks JT)
One thumbs down ? Was probably millennium Force ! 😜 Great video son !
HA HA HA! Ok, that made me laugh.
You should've stood by the diamond for that NS grainer, the diamond rhythm was so nice at the end!
Jaw tooth bless you my friend CSX frieght train hauling everything about 100 cars that's alot of heavy equipment running slow on the track gates are down Fleshing lights two locomotives awesome
It always having me wander how they get those crossing points so precise. You can always hear the engines going across them and never make them derail.
I caught to Fort Wayne from there.....
Wow that was a super one. Four trains in one video. That first one sure was long. That last one really short. Cool video. Thanks Jawtooth 👍👍👍❤️
And a solar panel to power the place haha yes !!
Good stuff Mr. Jaw Tooth! That was one of those Energizer consist, just kept going and going and going. I'm envious of you guys out having so much fun, but glad you can. I lost my train chasing buddy a few years back to cancer and it sorta put me in the siding. Keep up the good work, thanks!
Right on, JT you the man you guys did a awesome catch THANKS!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Erik! Have a great week!
@@JawTooth you too and stay safe
Wow that sure did empty the yard, great video! Canadian Pacific started moving 12,000 and 15,000 foot intermodal trains from St. Johns to Montreal through Maine over the summer, and man those things are huge.
Very cool!
Jaw Tooth.... King of railfan videos. Appreciate you and all the hard work you do.
Thanks good catch. Made day/night. Relaxing after stressful day of work.
Love watching these videos you post keep putting them great seeing them all the time!!
And the # is better recall those clicks by my house loved them I lived by train tracks when I was younger good memories yes!!
Great video Jawtooth ! Love to hear the cars clicking across the diamond! I lost count, that was a monster! Thanks for sharing!
Love the diamond
Three in one man....! Very cool. The first one was so long that I guess it had... A LOT of cars!!! 😂🤣😂
As a desert, the crosswise crossing of the diamond (even though for only... ONE car 😢)
YOU'RE THE BEST!!!
Thanks 👍
im glad that this city has made this park i wish more cities would do that
Saw one here about 2 weeks ago making the opposite move with over 100 cars including a type I had not seen before. Casting cars with cradles for what we be hot materials! Cars were scorched with HOT markers all over.
Another great video Jawtooth.
That was a huge train. Keep up the great work boss.
Thanks! Will do!
Nice vid! Lots of trains! That is a very cool park! Thanks for sharing this
Your photography and video are fantastic. You have a style, a focus, and a wonderful personality. Thanks for all you do. Be safe, please continue your projects.
I'm a huge fan Jawtooth!!! I watch one of your videos everyday!!! Thank you for everything!!!
after this video 2 Dutch cabrides,Meester Paul2 and Cabview Holland Dutch Railways. thanks again Brian.greetz:Peer.
Since I started watching US rail videos (during our UK lockdown) I have been surprised by how long some of the US freight trains are. While Steven Boughner correctly counted two locomotives and 100 wagons (cars) in this video, I have seen longer than this on the La Grange live feed. On one occasion I saw four locomotives pulling 190 cars, with an additional DPU loco somewhere in the middle. I understand that some of the US freight trains are well over 2 miles long which I think is awesome.
Lord, help us to be our brother's keeper so we will willingly help others. Sometimes I take the train and find myself helping others to help get someone else on the train with goods and little ones. Take heart.
I wish everyone was like that
Being from the UK, it's astonishing to see these. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it

Think this is the lowest I have ever been on the totem pole, Also noticed that there was one dislike, what's to dislike about trains. Guess you can't win them al. Great job, keep them coming.l
Thanks for being here so fast Smitty!
Anytime. Almost made it to Batavia, Ohio in September, Air Show, was Crew Chief on the B25j 45-8898 here in Arizona back in 1996.
Pretty color on the loco, great horn blast!! I always try to keep count on these huge freights, but it never works, this train has a real chugging sound,I love it!! Jaw tooth u got a great length angle on this train!!awesome as always!! I've come to love that expression "wait there's more" ,its always something good! Second train really moving! Ten thumbs up!! Thanks jaw tooth!
Great video! I am still trying to figure out how diamonds work. I know they are very noisy and need to be maintained. Thanks for the video son!
I walked out of the room for a moment, with your video on. Heard the train from the Atlantic City train line, I thought man he is really laying on them horn's today. turns it it was both yours and the AC lines trains. I live next to the tracks because I like you love trains.
Very cool!
Three fine trains. Those poor gondola cars get no respect. The clickity clack of those wheels had me wanting to go to sleep.CSX seems to use the bare minimum of power to move those looooong trains. Nice video Brian.
Thanks Steve!
One of those great sounds - wheels over a diamond :)
Thank you Jaw Tooth. Great to see three huge trains. Lovely summer weather. Impressed by the three fast NS units bunny hopping at the level crossing
Many thanks!
Like those!! Wow and car carriers nice!! I need to make my set bigger but it's ho scale not the 3 track one but it still is good!!
I would need to add Amtrak to it or CalTranz to it, maybe San Antonio to it!
And that train horn put me to bed yes memories of a great time never will change still got my train set lol love it I need more parts haha!!
Train action love it!!
Thanks for putting up all these videos!
Way to go Jaw Tooth. Nice catches all around, even the short one. Fostoria is a hot spot for rail fans, especially the iron triangle.
When will you go back train watching in Fostoria Ohio?
Jaw tooth you have great Train videos I like your trains videos better
Such huge freight trains.
100 cars, another very cool video. Keep up the great work!
This is awesome! Keep them coming, Jaw Tooth! Gave a nice day!😊🌈☀️
I Love your new video channel.
Wow the first train was huge!! I wish I could catch long trains like that, most if the Ines here are short
Where I'm from the longest train has 26 on the back of a single locomotive in England UK
I enjoy all your videos Ihave watched the steam vids. and just wondering if you will be doing any more. Great as always
Yes I will. I filmed steam trains in Durbin, West Virginia and Cass . I haven't posted those yet. I also want to make a video showing my top ten Big Boy shots.
@@JawTooth Thanks I will be looking for them
Awesome 👏 place to see trains!
Yes, thanks
That's a city on wheels. It doesn't have an engineer...it has a mayor! :)
Its a common site on Tehachapi to see 100 - 135 cars going UP the mountains, every train is that long
Nice catch jaw tooth
Thanks and have a great week!
Good stuff as usual Jawtooth
Much appreciated and thanks for commenting so quickly!
Hey Jaw tooth . Thanks for making these videos. My children love them. Have you ever been to Marietta Ohio? Around there you will have three towns with Street runners and two railroad Bridges. How I would start is in Marietta on the west side of the muskingum River in the community of Harmar where they have a street runner for about three blocks which is all homes and a nursing home believe it or not. Tree lined and everything . The town is the first in Ohio in 1785 and later Marietta took it over in around 1788. And it has a railroad bridge going across the muskingum River that is no longer in use going into downtown marietta where you will find old trolley tracks. Then if you cross another bridge in Marietta that goes across the Ohio River into Williamstown West Virginia you will find about three blocks of Street runner in downtown Williamstown. And if you happen to get a eastbound track going through Williamstown you can beat it in your car going to St Mary's West Virginia which also has a street runner going right downtown in beautiful St Mary's. Now if you follow the train going south out of Harmar in Marietta going to Belpre Oh it will cross the Ohio River on a huge 100 yr old bridge to Parkersburg West Virginia. you can see it going across the bridge there and it is still being used. Nice view on both sides of river. Almost need a guy on both sides. Belpre side has all the nice high curve with the stone work and on Parkersburg side you have the great straight away. Also there is a vehicle bridge right next to it. Thanks again. You would basically have 4 towns, 3 Street runners and 2 cool bridges on one trip.
Cool that your children love my videos! I have never been to Marietta but that is on my list to film. I have been wanting to get there this year. I have filmed a few trains in St Marys and I have been to Parkersburg. I just looked up Williamstown and I definetly want to film there. Thanks for the info! I will check it out for sure
I love train diamonds
... simply awesome!
Youze outdone yurself Tooth. Keep em' highballin Dooth.
Cheers JT!
🤠Now that them railroad diamonds are the best tracks in the world and I do like how they set them tracks up Yee-haw
Hay mate that was another gr8 video enjoyed that one jawtooth, I dont know if u know this but were the tracks cross each other we dont have them here in england well I have never seen them here anyway, godbless to you and ur FAM,
wow that's train as long and also a combo Freight and Intermodal train combo
Back in the late 70's, I counted 122 cars being pulled by two locomotives. It was a Soo Line train and I was in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Also, today I saw 112 grain cars being pulled by a 2 plus 1 DPU in Verdi, Nevada. That train just came over the Sierra Nevada mountains.
51 with several articulated cars.
Thanks for counting!
I figured it was going to be too many to count so I was just counting the wheels and dividing by 8, but then those articulated cars came by and screwed up my math.
This is a good long train. I think this train is putting me to sleep..lol
The diamond forever 👍145
The first train reminded me of unstoppable from the engines LOL
Outstanding!
Nice !!!!
Great video Brian
Great video Jawtooth!!!

Great video JT!🇺🇸
Thanks Robert!
Fantastic video my friend 👍😀
Thank you 👍
Great action.
On that second train, it looked like some of the first cars were trying to catch some air as they went over the diamond.
So did the locos.
Great video nice dog
