I watched this video in its entirety and not only did u inspire me but it amazed me on how many different techniques there are. I'm a 66 year old woman who's never been in the work force nor did I learn anything about computer technology. However I've done crafts and sewing and all types of creative things my whole life. This interested me to the point that I'm planning on purchasing a Lazer computer. My daughter is willing to help me along. Never would I have thought to do this at this point in my life. You've helped me understand so much and besides inspiring me I've gained the confidence that I need to get started. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 4 this tutorial. I will b referring to it again it's to much to learn all at once.

*thank you for sharing all of your great ideas!* i once took a magazine photo that was very colorful throughout, of a leopard resting in the bushes, then used what they used to call contact paper, applied that sticky side down to the colorful image, rubbed it very thoroughly like you do so the ink gets imbedded into the stickiness, and then wet the paper and rubbed it off gently like you do. i had purposely cut the leopard image to fit a mirror *before* i started the rest of the craft project, and when i applied the sticky side to the mirror, it resulted in what looked like a slightly 3-D version of the picture. the key to making the mirror project look good is to be sure to use a very ink-saturated, fully colorful picture with very little white visible. that way, the mirror will shine subtly through the picture.

Hi, loved ur idea and after just watching this video i had thoughts on experimenting with contact paper also and just wanted to ask you - using contact paper, does it have to be a specific
      type/color/design contact paper ??
Will the color or design on the front 😊of the contact paper affect the image or graphic ur attempting to transfer?
Im very new to all of this transfer & mod pod crafts but the lady in this video and ppl such as urself, who comment such crafting ideas in the comment fields are so Awesome, Kind and Generous to share your knowledge with the world - Thank You 😊
You Lady's have certainly inspired me and I couldn't be more Grateful ❤!

Laser printer/copier toner isn't really ink at all. It's a plastic powder that is melted onto the page whereas an inkjet uses water-based inks. That's why some methods work and others don't.

I’ve been playing with the packing tape transfer and found a marvelous source for plant images for which the paper practically floats off. The Baker Creek Seed Company puts out huge catalogs every year that have gorgeous images. I always preorder one and pour through them for new plants to try. The catalog costs about $20, but it’s about an inch thick and well worth it. Perhaps a gardener has one you might get for free. The other thing I discovered is clear bookbinding tape. It works like packing tape and doesn’t turn yellow over time.

I cannot speak to weather this would change the final outcome but it looks like your inkjet is set to making copies so as to not "waste" ink. Most are set to making copies but are capable of more dpi so that the ink can be darker and crisper like the laser jet copy. This use to be much less true but with ecotanks and art jet printers they come much closer to the modern home laser printer. In the end, the laser printer will be more cost effective for printing at the higher resolution because of the additional ink, so IDK if it matters if you plan to do a ton of these.
Just wanted to add that the amount of trial and error that you have saved all of us is so kind and impressive. Thank you for sharing the hours of work with us.

Love your tutorials Deidre thank you so much. Why do you paint black first and then white? Why not just white? Thanks. Laura from Australia :)

Deidre, with the packing tape transfer, can you then modge podge the graphic to either wood, glass or metal besides the coffe stained paper you demo? This is a quick way vs. using a laser jet printer. Thanks

    Hi,
Thank you for showing us these methods, they are inspiring & clever.
Questions;- I want to use full colour Christmas cards with old snowy village scenes (chocolate box type scene) to transfer images on to a defused white stiff Perspex sheet (A4 size) that lets light through or maybe use a white painted glass.
I want to use fairy lights mounted on the rear of the Perspex or glass (behind the image) to give a glow or lighted background, this will then be encased in a shallow box or a deep picture frame (sort of diarama) with added texture at the front (create snow using baking soda & trees/branches using twigs or small fern leafs etc) to create a sort of 3D image.
Would any of your transfer methods work? if so, which one is best?,......I only have a ink jet printer, but I would consider purchasing a full colour Laser printer at a future date if this creates better results - please give me your thoughts, any advice would be most appreciated - Best wishes to you.

I have not tried that method so I’m unsure. Would be worth experimenting though

There aren’t many times in our lives that we can influence or inspire a stranger to do something new. Something beneficial with their lives. This video so flawlessly offers so many ways that one can create and in these, you do just that. You encourage and and inspire with each new idea. Thank you for that. I love this entire lesson. 🤟🏼🤍

If you’re using an inkjet printer and your decomposing, you need to spray it with hair spray first so the ink will not run

Will the Transfer with the Pprotector work with the Desk Jet if you follow the baking tech that you did?

No it will probably still run! I would try and coat it with hairspray and then transfer and see how that goes but still might run . Trial and error.

I’ve enjoyed this video and all the instructions. My favorite was the “protector” liner but I’m so confused as to what it is because it doesn’t appear to be a permanent adhesive liner. Is it clear contact paper? I’m not familiar with it and want to be.😊 Do you mind saying where you purchased yours? Thank you.

I must say you do beautiful work & many "A HA" moments!!! But I was watching you on "Utube" today, not sure when you made you video, there was a lot of old doors, & a beautiful window. You commented that one of your viewers asked why you didn't use more color...I agree. But you stated because to sell, black & white sells best!! Well?? OK...but even some of the things, like the metal planters, were either chalk white or black....I believe you are in Ontario?? I'm in Texas, near the coast...Clear Lake/NASA area. I'm also Mexican/Irish...WE love LOTS of deep rich colors....& it does sell...lots of seashore, nautical themed things, some white & blue...(sea blue, sky blue... nautical, you get the picture!!!) You really do outstanding work & have obviously made money from selling & on Etsy also...But you also have the tools & space...I live in a 1 brm condo & widowed, but I do love crafting & do my share of wreaths, etc. I got quite a few pointers from you video...I loved the window you did with the decals & mirrored background. Perhaps one day when I grown up, I can get a bigger place & "fly"!! Thanks for you pointers & great ideas...God bless, linda
