Hi, once this is active are the pistons fully retracted or you still have to manually push them with a piston rotary press? Thanks for the great video.
What does it mean by bringing the parking break into service to restore the parking brake function? Do i need to go back into ISTA to do that, or it just means I need to engage the parking brake via the button inside the car?
Stupid question.... do i have to live the car on whit the ista+ program running??? Connected to the car permanently, and after doing the break pads switch to takeoff the car from shop mode??!! Or I just put the car in shop mode, close the engine, disconnect the ENET cable, do the brakes and then start the car and use ista???
Thanks. Could you share the ISTA menu selection to bring the ebrakes out of workshop mode (back to normal operation)? It isn't obvious and my vehicle is stuck without ebrake
Thank you for sharing. Works perfectly fine for 320i g20 from 2021. Standard brakes.

Yes, you should push the piston back manually !

after the repair is done, you use ISTA again to put the brake back into normal operation
Is Workshop Mode the same effect as component replacement?

you could disconnect Ista and reconnect once you're done, no problem - the break stays in whatever mode you left it
