Okay, this needs to be said upfront: Omar, you could sell a glass of sand to a thirsty man. I went into this video with no real interest in this book, I just wanted to support my brother, Omar. Now, after watching the vid and seeing the pages and hearing the passion for these stories from Omar, I now want, no, NEED, to get this book. I dread the day that Marvel releases a "Millie The Model" Omni. Omar will do a review and he'll make me want to buy it. Thank you so much for the kind words, my friend. I will say it's easy to talk about these books, because how much I really enjoy them. I try to keep overviews under 10 minutes, but damnit...sometimes I have so much to say and I think: "screw it and just run with it!"
How many omnibus volumes would that cover for all the Millie tales ? Even if 1300+ pages, it would be a few - then there is always Nellie the Nurse, Patsy Walker, Cindy Smith, Tessie the Typist and many others still to reprint !
What a great book! This is such a significant part of Marvel Comics history with some original published material that is not easy to find. I'm especially happy to see the reprint of the Black & White magazine material. The extra material also looks very well done and I like the idea of how it's organized.
I'm looking forward to adding this to my own collection and digging into it myself.
We need more horror Omnis. And a reprint of this one. 🎃

These stories are wonderful and take me down memory lane big time. Takes me back to a time when I stayed up late as a ten year old in the early 70s watching “Creature Feature.” Good times BrOmar. Good times.
I even fondly remember getting yelled at by Mom. Good times.

Thank you Omar for posting this! This is a first day buy for me, and I highly recommend that you guys who are on the fence on this one, will take the chance on it. It won't let you down! I grew up with these books and can attest to the great art and outstanding stories you will find, herein. I was surprised when I saw this collection solicited and was worried it might get cancelled or pushed back due to it containing stories that are obscure, for the most part. I CANNOT wait to have this in my hands! I see a read-a-thon in my near future :)
I'm still reading these stories this weekend. Now I want more from this era.
Can’t wait to hold this in my hand. I LOOOOVE the Marvel Horror mags (I have bound volumes of all of them). This is my second most-wanted book of the year, after the Kirby Bronze Age Omni from a few weeks ago.

Saw this listed on Amazon awhile back, and I couldn't believe it was coming out. This is a book I NEVER thought we would see. A lot of these characters ended up showing up in Marvel Team-Up, or Two in One, so I've read some of this. I've always loved horror and comics, so stuff like this is no brainier for me!

I am confused, if it had all those Vampire Tales/Marvel Preview/Marvel Premiere horror stories I would be down, but I don't even know any of these characters. Thanks for doing a preview on this. Do we know if marvel are reproducing any more 70s magazine issues? I think they did a vampire one as well I believe. I have the conan and kung fu omnibus work :-)

Hey Omar. I've got a quick question. How can you tell if a absolute or omnibus will be going out of print. Because I really want to get the Preacher absolutes but I have noticed they have shot up in price ecspecially vol 2. I'm new to this whole omnibus collecting game and have realised it can be very unpredictable. It can be there one day the next it's gone. So will Preacher go out of print?
My brother, I wish I knew the algorithim, but usually I keep in touch with my dood at the comic shop to see what's oop at Diamond.

Not really that much. Just maybe a couple of stories and that’s it.

Hey omar where do the x men: shattershot and x men the twelve omnibus fit into my xmen collection. I have all the hardcovers minus claremont and lee vol. 1 and the stan lee omnis.
Is this a riddle? If so, I got you! Those stories happen right before X-men Revolution. So if you are looking at your shelf After Onslaught and before Revolution. :) I hope you enjoy those X-men stories.

I was iffy on this, but maybe I’ll grab it down the line for a deal. Love Pablo Marcos’s Zombie. Tracked down the Essential for that, since the B&W didn’t matter much. Are you sure the green spot color is intended and not a printing error? Seems odd on camera. But then a lot of this book is stuff I’m not as interested in.
Vincent. You bring up a really good point. As I never owned any of the original Tales of the Zomibe mags, these may or may not be intentional. It wasn't hard to read and happened just around 8 pages of what I read, but it wasn't too hard to read. I'll have to find out if its in the original now.
Wow! This is really a great book, I think I will have to open an exception and buy it. I love The Golden Age Marvel and DC and this is the one I cannot ignore.
About the Frankenstein Complete Collection, I have him and read him, but it seems that is not complete because the last story is unfinished. If I am not mistake, the series got cancelled on issue 19 and never had a final, but I am not sure if I am correct.

Are the stories in here "complete"? Or do the older 70s comics not really work that that? I just usually prefer chronological omnis of a single character/run like those Tomb of Dracula ones.
They are complete. I mean they appear later in the 90s and 00s, but for the old school stoires, they are complete.

I'm thinking because of the newly announced show. Those chances just went up.
I did not want to get it at all but now I kinda do... darn September is a pricey month :S I wonder how big the printing is for a book like this, I really don't want to cash out a 100 bucks more in September, so I'd rather wait but the anxiety of it going OOP is always there.
