Yes, Alpha Stamps does carry the pieces I use but you can pick an choose which village houses you want to make. Also, most people already have items in their stash that they can use so people don't always have to buy everything.

Well it depends on what type of themes and projects you like. If you are new to crafting you might want to start with something easier than the village. But without knowing you it is hard to answer your question. Some people just naturally can jump in to complicated projects. Others feel more comfortable starting with something easier. Most of my video tutorials are for more complicated projects. On my blog I do have some simpler ones and ones that teach individual techniques. Maybe start there.
