The Spurs used a 38-17 run to turn a 1 point deficit into a 20 point lead bridging the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Houston was up 41-40 before David Robinson's free throws triggered the run.
The Spurs kept attacking the rim recognizing the Rockets lack of rim protection besides Hakeem (and Hakeem was in foul trouble so he wasnt willing to challenge). The Spurs had been shooting themselves in the foot with low percentage outside shooting so it was nice to see them dominate the paint in this one.
Yes, The Rockets won the series but this was still a big run by the Spurs that seemingly turned the series around in their favor.
