The Heat and the league in general were known for getting into brawls every other game, but especially the Heat because we were so hardcore on our blacktop-style defense during our Atlantic Division championship days. So I was used to kerfuffles on the court. But I had never seen anything like this. PJ literally FLIPPED Charlie Ward. Cartwheeled the guy. I could not believe my eyes. I bet New Yorkers watching it were like "WHAT THE FUUUUUU! YOU KILLED OUR BEST QUARTERBACK!!!!!"

@@tevinsherrill5653 I wouldn't know. Those Knicks seemed to be even better than those who reached the Finals a couple years later; after years and years of team building, they had pretty much everything: experience and youth, strength and talent, starting five and bench depth. As a lover of this game, that missing series is maybe my biggest regret ever.

@@terucks The Knicks would not have won that series. It would have went to 6 or 7 games. The Bulls

@Midwest Mall jealous? How? LBJ isn't aggressive NOW in a softer era than MJ era. MJ era was the MOST successful (popular) era in the NBA, even more so than the NFL. Now the NBA can barely compete with NFL. That said, when LBJ was called to be aggressive during the DAL series, he wasn't. He got shut down by JJ Barrera & Jason Terry, grant it he is a lot better today

Still haven't forgiven Stern for suspending the whole Knicks team for this fight. I get suspending participants in the fight but suspending Ewing a game for just wondering around the court during the commotion sucked. Yes, I know the rule exists but could have suspended him for regular season game next year rather than playoff game the way they did in MLB when Alomar spat on the umpire.
