Builds quick cars, gives out the play book, and trolls everyone. Love it.
Cool call out to the old man and his Malibu. Hope you guys make it happen. Old Man's Garage, SRC and Horsepower Depot are my favorite channels. Your family really makes it happen especially in the F.A.S.T. Class. I guessed 103lbs lighter than you weighed. Nice!
Would be a fun race!
Y'all know what you're doing for sure. That, and hard work gets you were you are on your Corvette. Man it's impressive.
You guys are always gonna be targets. You're honest, have great cars, and most of all have fun. My 65 convertible with a small block is just under 3200lbs. With what you have to do to race, roll bar and so on , you are normal weight. The traction bar I was referring to for a C2, mounts from the 4 bolts that hold the rear spring and the snubbed. Give your tie rod ends a good going over, a friend of mine rolled his 67 Csmaro at Millan. They come down hard after wheelies over and over again. Hey you guys have fun, keep it up.
As you can tell from my screen name I am a Mopar guy but I absolutely give credit where its due. Brother you got a bullet there! Love that car. I've never been to a FAST class race.but watched them for years on RUclips. I'm in central N.C. and I can't recall seeing advertising for FAST class races anywhere around. I dont know why this car is so quick but you done an awesome job making it work! Congrats!
Most likely some drag class some people made up, so they could add it to their car's portfolio to add $20K to the selling price of their cars.
Just like all the specialty street race cars that are popping up now. Got huge stories about the Underground racing their cars were supposed to have done in 1966, that nobody can truthfully document; because most of those 33 year olds in '66 are dead.
Like how anyone less than 30 years old today, know about DDT. The first time America tried to exterminate Americans.
Chevy Power maybe?
@@shimshonbendan8730 Let's remind you about the 64Thunderbolt, that this car has been chasing for 60 years.
Gotta believe a Big piece is that Corvette Chassis itself. Just about everything they know was applied to his Orange '69 Camaro too. Yet that car couldn't make the runs this car and his father's C3 both can do. Weight transfer on launch with the Corvette IRS may have something to do with the advantage vs the more standard muscle car set up. At least that's the one thing I see as different that is most obvious difference.
@@stevejewell9263 I tend to agree. That chassis is working and the car is for sure hooking! You can have tons of horsepower and torque but if you can’t hook it to the track…you ain’t going nowhere. Looking forward to seeing if he can get it into the 8’s.
Only racing channel that impresses me👍
i spend way too much time trolling the Mopar trolls on Facebook in defense of this car... but its worth it. Especially the Australian ones.. lol. keep going brother.
Ready to see an 8!
Just wow... nice work on the Resto...and technology has come so far...could have never imagined street machines running in the 8s...just crazy good!
I love that car. It's my favorite of the cars you guys have put together. You guys definitely did a good job with it.
Wow, I also have a set of Long Acre scales. My 67 coupe (383 sbc with Richmond 4+1) weighs 3020 without my lard arse in it. It is also a 12 O car not a 9 O car, that bad boy is makin' some power! Good job Jordan!
The Widow Maker. Corvette Guy 🇺🇸🏁
Thanks for sharing Jordan
My uneducated guess would have been around 2800 or so. Thanks for the correct race weight. Now we know!
Will you guys be making it out to the event at Cecil County this upcoming year? I’ve got it on my calendar to come out and watch my first FAST event I can’t wait
I love it I have a 67 l89 completely stock when we have run open exhaust on it you could hear the factory cam is pretty aggressive pretty impressive so what is this car if the Factory Motor just reworked pretty impressive
I just came across your channel. Absolutely love C2s! Don't worry about the haters, you do you. Nice car!
I love the haters! They fuel us! Thanks!!
Thanks for sharing the ‘67. That is a nice car that looks like a street car other than cage and this and that for racing. Yes, a mid year ‘67 is a brick compared to a ‘68 or ‘69 going thru the air. But nothing like a mid year ‘63-‘67 coupe or convertible w/hardtop. The ‘68 up has a wider stock tire/rim.
Would be great to see it do some street racing and take down a plaid! I'm also curious what it would do with headers but I know that would be a lot of work.
Also for most of your builds, what is your go to mufflers?
Nice ride. Just found ya on here , great video.
good show ! Merry Christmas !
Sick Week? Keep up the fun for all of us
I did a couple drag weeks around 2016. They were fun for sure! This isn’t the car for drag a drag and drive event.
All of the doubtful critics making all kinds of rude accusations must be Ford & Mopar guys, lol. And this is coming from me, who is NOT a brand loyal snob. Oh, and by the way, to add insult to injury: Both the 24 hr and 5,000 mile high speed records were shattered and still held to this very day by a BONE STOCK 1990 Corvette ZR1 with the legendary normally aspirated LT5 engine. The only exception was headers and open exhaust. Racing approved wheels, tires, and full roll cage had to be added per the official rules. Ford, Audi, Porsche, even Mercedes have all tried to break those records..........and all of them failed miserably.
Useing tci calculator your getting 885hp to the ground.thats pretty good.i know their pricey but are you allowed to use a bolt together torque converter.there is a prototype one that Neil Chance just came out with that is made of titainium .lightweight
This is an awesome video and one of the most beautiful Corvettes I've ever seen but what kills me is that squeaky door in every video... Lol
Congratulations! That thing is a beast! Can't imagine what better tires would do for it... maybe high 8's???
Probably easy 8s. He's pulling a ton of timing at the launch.
You could put a slick under it, and take it no prep racing!! That thing would scare the hell out of the turbo guys! ROFL!!
may be 1600 kg with driver = my little subaru is about the same weight ! 2001 forester !
Beautiful fast car...congrats
Please lube squeaky door hinges! Lube weight minimal. Cars & videos excellent, keep up good work.
Bischoff builds some amazing engines……… would love to see the head work on those snow flakes
Damn that weight bias on point
🤫
Really nice looking car luv it❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
They will be Mopar Guys spend a Million dollars on a stroked Hemi Build to get you guys!! Hard to beat a Chevy!
I'm sure the OMG crew would be honoured to make a pass beside any of your crew. Bill Hoskinson, Billy Hoskinson. Make this happen please. Also let us know well in advance so we can pack the bleachers.
What’s the rule on wheels? Can you get someone to make a set of wheels in aluminum, but that look like steel rallies?
That would be a good race. I think the Malibu is 10's on motor.
Just keep beating the Mopars !
I’d love to see you guys compete with a light weight small block car
Could you open the front of the Scoop to get more air in over the Carburetor, shin up the hood latch for more air
The l88 hood chamber wouldn’t allow for that to work.
Ever think about running air tubes from grill to snorkel, like the Ford T Bolts or take an old hood and put Louvers in to get hot air out just a idea. Tear up the streets have fun too
@@williamrose8944it has to look stock. Besides that the base of the windshield is a high pressure area......hence cowl induction
Impressive... Is that cat the shop foreman?
8.50 with 30 jet but set up for n20 1.82 1st gear ,chance conv ,.075 quench you want have a problem
Put a 4l80e in it and drag n drive it I'm sure it would pull a trailer right nice
I’m telling you right now you’ll smoke the old man and his Malibu it’s fast but it’s not 9:10 at 148.40 fast but it is a his is a true streetcar just saying you’re just a license plate away on the street car lol boosters boy, Kyle’s got a plaid conversion Honda wagon. It runs low 9:4?
thinking of moparr guys complaining its not a muscle car...but they have multple carbs..hemis and 6 packs..seems balanced to me with your less weight
How much did the 🐈 weigh?
If it passes tech is all that matters.
Wait to get an 8.999 before doing any other forms of racing!!!
We will see. I’d like to have more fun with it than just racing for a time slip.
To get in the 9.10 range you need about 1000 hp
Storage in floor behind the seats?
Weight hidden in parachute pack. Filled it with lead. //sarchasm
That 66 Chevelle weight is 3200lb
The naysayers will still not believe you 😃
These guys are full of it. 9.10 my arse and on stock tires.
UNVEILED is the correct spelling. 😅
Hahaha! I’ve never been good at spelling lol. I’ll fix that.
What'size is this motor? 500 or. 540. ??
In the previous video he said 560.
I thought it was a real L-88,which would have been crazy times for this combo.
@@babaoreally8220 It's a real 435 horse tri-power car turned into an L-88 clone built to F.A.S.T. rules.
@@TheInsaneShecklador Sweet, today’s technology brings a whole new world in performance.
@@babaoreally8220 Yes it does. Imagine taking this car back to 67 in a time machine. Heads would explode.
My brothers 4 door blown 8-71 chevy caprice sedan weighs only 60 pounds more hahaha
Bitchen car! The Corvette was by far the best car GM ever made.
Race boostedbois mini van it's a tesla plaid
um there's a frickin elephant in the car..
A 64 67 vette with an l88 does not run in the low 9s stock. B s.
thats light as shit for what it is
I have a 66 corvette convertible with a blueprint 427 sbc , alum, heads, intake and water pump with a tko 600 that i took to work at ford motor and weighed it on the scales they use for the scrap haulers and my car weighed 3140 , i have been looking at a fiberglass rear spring which is supposed to be 40lbs less then the 7 leaf spring i have in the back. the car has a very robust [ word for the day calender paying off] frame but it is fiberglass , the doors probably weigh 20lbs if that i have to remind people not to slam the doors when they close them because they are so light . I love this channel and i would like to find out everything he did to the rearend and the what mufflers he used on the sidepipes . Thanks
@@torinodude59- He talked about the mufflers in a video back when he built the car. I know there are two torpedo type mufflers in each pipe but I don’t remember the brand.
I wish i could find out the brand and diameter of the mufflers and everything he had done and where he bought the parts to the rearend so it lives @@danmyers9372
Also what trailing arms he is using , i have vansteels offset are they going to end up twisting on me . 540hp
Oh yea thanks DAN@@danmyers9372
HEHE.Around same as a small block dodge dart or duster
But it’s a fiberglass 2 seater. It should weigh 2300!
Oil your hinges!
Bs bs bs bs bs bs
oil the door hinges
put headers on it and would probably drop a second
