  • We go to 131 Motorsports Park for the last race of the year! The corvette finally got suspension upgrades and it’s showing great potential! The ZL1 is being its normal stubborn self and not wanting to cooperate. Few passes from my uncles turbo ls nova that we showed on our channel a few months ago.

    It's amazing that those wore out skinny tires work for your Dad's Vette. Nice wheely. I had some treadless 37in Super Swamper's on my 79 Ford 4WD. In granny, on a hot day that 7,000 lb. rig would yank a 6 incher. Pinion finally broke after yrs of abuse lol.

    Perfect horsepower making weather! We went to the track this past weekend and all made our best runs of the season. Hoping the weather can hold up for one more weekend here in Wisconsin, and Greatlakes Dragaway in Union Grove has said that they will remain open as long as they can this year, so hopefully old Mother Nature can bless us with 6 more days of racing!!!

    Good looking shirts. So many channels seem to just poop out some crappy design but it's obvious you put some real thought into these.
    13:15 A while back I asked if the trim rings had screws added to them and you said no. I guess that proves it.

      @HorsepowerDepot  Год назад

      I’ve honestly tried to get something like this for almost 2 years. I’m super excited about the shirts. And yeah it usually never shoots the trim rings off. But it shook the tires really bad before it broke the axle.

    Did I hear the Camaro breaking up at the top end?

    • @HorsepowerDepot
      @HorsepowerDepot  Год назад

      Yeah it’s got an uncontrollable lean condition at high rpm. That’s why I didn’t run it anymore after my second pass. Thought I had it fixed but I didn’t.

    • @zacharymorris9917
      @zacharymorris9917 Год назад

      @@HorsepowerDepot"breaking up" is usually a misfire. Any and all misfires will show up on a O2 sensor as a "lean" condition. You'll see the same thing on a 2 step, launch control, anti-lag and some versions of traction control.
      Don't know if that's what you're seeing, but thought it might help to point it out or remind you if you already knew that.

    • @SealofPerfection
      @SealofPerfection Год назад

      @@HorsepowerDepot I wonder if it's caused by the air flow at high speeds.
      I'll give you an example: I used to have a 76 Trans am. This is back in the '80s, it had a warmed over 400, probably a little over 400 horsepower. At some point I put a velocity stack on it in place of the hood shaker. Just trying it out. I decided to open it up one time for a top speed run, since it still had stock 2.41 gears in it. It would not go faster than about 130 because it started misfiring and you could literally see the fuel getting sucked up out of the velocity stack because of the way the air flow did at that speed. It was fine up until that point, but once I got to a certain speed the air flow I apparently swirled around it and actually pulled the fuel up out of the carburetor. I put the hood shaker back on and it would run as fast as you had the balls to hold the throttle for.
      At the speed you are running, I wonder if you have something similar going on with the stock filter setup?
      Maybe you should rig up some kind of ram air temporarily and run it and see if the problem goes away. That would at least tell you that's what it is.

    • @HorsepowerDepot

      No. Kind of a story to the car. Was my great uncles car he’s had since 73. He passed away my uncle got it. It had ss emblems on it but an originally a 307. The yenko stripes were put on earlier this year to hide the ugly bodywork that my great uncle did to it in the mid 70s.
