I’m pretty sure they’re pronounced like rouge as in the shade of red and cerulean like the shade of blue. That’s so cool that they tie in the color themes like that!!

I don't get it nearly every reactor I've seen says rogue. The word rouge is literally right there how do you mess that up? They're not even letters that look the same like upper i and lower l. Idk that just bothers me
Sudowoodo, the rock type pokemon, getting to live his dream with the new mechanic and be a grass type used by the grass type gym leader.
By the way, the knight Pokémon are definitely “Arma-rouge” arma for armor and rouge being a red color and “Cerul-edge” for cerulean (blue) and edge referring to its blade. My guess is they are version exclusives because of the the color-based names.

Judging by how the game is based on Spain, “Arma” would be Spanish for weapon/gun. Which explains the cannon hands, not Armor. Hearing people say his name in English is a bit tilting lol it just sounds so much better if people say it “Arma-rogue” instead of “Armor rooj” like what?

yo if they dont limit obedience based on levels it'll be broken, if they get over leveled they should have there wild battle accuracy lowered just to make it fair

Yep. Saw it on Instagram. And then found a detailed article. They're using the buddy system where you can walk with your pokemon. The added feature is that you "Buddy" can engage in battles on its own when you encounter wild Pokemon and while it's battling, you keep exploring. It will also track down nearby wild Pokemon and fight them too

This would have been interesting if they actually nicknamed their Pokémon
- Honestly, Team Star fits these games' whole school theme. Mela is just the boss of the gang's Fire team, so we'll likely be up against several type-specializing admins like her. As for how those Starmobiles play into these battles...
- Path of Legends looks like a neat way to have both a Gym Challenge and an Island Trial-like thing in the same game. Wonder how the Titans will fight compared to the Totems and Nobles?
- Don't forget, the site said that there are multiple Trainers with the Champion Mark. Geeta is likely the best of the bunch.
- Pretty sure Armarouge's name is pronounced "ahr-muh-roozh" - "rouge" as in "red", just as Ceruledge has "cerulean" in it.

Ceruledge is hands down my favorite Paldea Pokemon right now and I do not regret picking Violet
I picked Scarlet because of Koraidon, but Ceruledge is making me rethink it. I’m thinking I’ll make Violet my main file and use Scarlet for version exclusives

People, its ArmaROUGE as in the French word for red. Not rogue as in the sneaky thief.
Both Pokemon have a color in their name and a means of combat.
Armarouge: Arms as in weapons and rouge as in red.
Ceruledge: Cerulean as in the type of blue and edge as in bladed weapons.
Yeah I honestly don’t know why they would call it ArmaROUGE if he’s the opposite of a rouge. But it definitely sounds better than “armor rooj”

To clarify, rogue and rouge are two completely different words. The position of the U is very important here. They called him ArmaROUGE because of the color red. Nothing in his name talks of rogues. The name is ArmaROUGE, not ArmaROGUE.

Arma *Rogue* sounds better regardless of how it’s spelled, is what I meant. And I don’t trust Pokémon with correct pronounciation ever since Arceus and Garbodor, so I hope it’s Arma Rogue and not Arma Rooj.
@@angelsantos8459 Personally, Armarouge sounds way better than Armarogue. It's a preference thing.
It's definitely Armarouge. If it was meant to be rogue, they would have spelled it as such. It's also very clear based on the duo. As I stated earlier, both Armarouge and Ceruledge's names are both made to reference the same thing, a color and weapons. A rogue isn't either of those, while rouge is a color.
(I do agree with you on the Arceus pronunciation however. Though that's a different situation as, to my knowledge, Arceus is a completely made up word so the Pokemon company can choose to pronounce it however they like, unlike with Armarouge where they're using actual words.
I'm unaware how they pronounce Garbodor, but I'll just take your word on that one.)
@@BarryLancaster Arceus being changed is most likely due to the UK since arse is a way they say your behind remember that it was originally called that in Pokemon Battle Revolution by the announcer and I personally still call it that cause Rks just sounds lame (and yes I do know that's what they did with sillvally)
Honestly? The eerie looking grass GL is a nice switch up for me, we don't get that from many GLs so to have it be a grass one is a nice little detail!
Rouge as in the French word for red, so his name means Red Armor, Rogue is the sneaky sneak, and Ceruledge is a play on the black knight trope which is so cool
Arma in Spanish means weapon/gun and the Pokémon uses his hands to create a cannon. I’m guessing his name just means Red cannon (definitely not Armor) or just… idk red rogue, which would be contrary of what the Pokémon website says about him lol

We DID see a new mechanic, but they just didn't give any details. On the Team Star base raid, the player had 2 Pokemon out just running with them and going to attack some enemy pokemon like a RTS or something
On the website news section it explains it as the "Let's Go!" mechanic where you can have your following Pokemon auto-battle wild Pokemon and it doesn't need commands from you

The grass gym having a rock type pokemon that changes to grass could hint at every gym having a pokemon that isnt the theme of the gym which is fucking cool imo
I'd be willing to bet this: we already know we'll have 8 gyms to face with a type specialty. That's just a given. But that still leaves 10 types for the titans and Team Star. Could be a five and five, or maybe a 6 and 4 situation. That would be where I place my money.

I think the rogue in armorougue name is moreso referring to rouge as in red in french, since its counterpart has possibly cerulean in the name, as in blue
Recently got the switch in preparation to getting back into Pokémon with violet. Should I pickup Sword or shield so I can migrate some pokemon with home? Not sure how key Pokémon home is.
Klawf is great because the eyes are so derpy. Also, the Armor pokemon are totally Yellow Megaman and Blue Protoman.

It's not " rogue " it's rouge - the color red in french (which makes sense if it is an exclusive for Scarlet) and Ceruledge has " Ceru " for cerulean, which again would make sense it it turns out to be exclusive to Violet ^^

I like both the knight Pokémon, but I gotta say, ceruledge just seems like the better pick for now, cuz while I like the idea of another close combat-like move that armorouge gets, the concept of a Fire move described as a blade that drains HP is so unique to me.

Ceruledge and Armarouge are super cool names. Ceruledge for edge and cerulean blue, the colour. Armarouge for armour and rouge for both the colour and sneaky person. Plus they're just fun to say
Rouge (color) and rogue (sneaky person) are two different words. Given that the website describes it as always wanting a fair fight, I imagine the name only references the color and not the character archetype.
