And this is why Metallica is such a successful band. They’re able to capture different audiences with their eclectic style of songwriting. And, also why they will always be the greatest band in existence
I think it shows that Metallica is capable of satisfying everyone with so many different sub-genres and genres. They can make blues, rock, metal, everyone can find something about Metallica that they like. Like our friend here didn't really like early Metallica, but he did find Load and Reload to be really enjoyable. It's a really good skill that Metallica have IMO. Or I could just be talking out of my ass.
die No you're absolutely right. Metallica is a very diverse band when it comes to their sound. Its one of the best parts about them imo. They blessed us with 4 thrash classics early on in their careers and then dominated the hard rock sound in their later years.
Their diversity is based on what? 1. "Thrash/speed metal" - KE'A, RTL, MOP, AJFA, M 2. "Post grunge bluesy groovy hard rock" - Load/ReLoad 3. And then you have the St. Anger, Death Magnetic, Hardwired albums!... Where's the diversity? The only diversity since Load and ReLoad is as follows: 1. A garbage can instead of a standard snare drum 2. A new bass player who can play Orion!
A l e x a n d e r Well maybe diverse wasn't the word I was looking for... My point was the everyone can find something about Metallica they like at least.
Well let's look at their so called evolution. After Load/ReLoad they got really mad for some reason and went into group therapy during which they replaced their bass player and replaced Lars' snare drum with a crock pot and then squeezed out St. Anger. That's the extent of their so called evolution because after St. Anger it was back to basics wasn't it?
It's funny how you said "what you said is totally irrelevant" and then immediately after that you basically repeat exactly what I said while pretending it is me who is the "hyper-sensitive" on and not you! LOL!
Great video man as always, just a suggestion though. Im sure you figured out after listening to This love and Cemetary gates by pantera, that some metal bands like to blend the clean/ slower parts with heavy riffs. My suggestion is instead of skipping the whole song, just skip the song forward abit, you will hear the heavy passages come in and maybe the song will make more sense to you. The two songs you skipped on this, build up and get heavy. Same with songs from load. Just my thoughts man, great video though and Happy new year man!!
Instead of going straight to St. Anger (2003), you should review Garage Inc. (disc 1 + or why not 2 as well) (1998)! Metallica is known for doing awesome covers.
I don't think he is the type to appreciate metal bands collaborating with orchestras. Which means S&M might not be for him. Don't know how he feels about reviewing cover songs. He will probably crap on the covers of Turn The Page and Tuesday's Gone, cause those are slower tracks.
I must be one f the oddballs then because I thoroughly enjoyed both Load and Reload. Don't get me wrong.. I wore out 2 copies of Master of Puppets and thoroughly enjoyed both Kill em All and Ride the Lightning. Load and Reload were a shock at first.. took several listens through them both to get into the style change... but in the end it's still great music.. regardless of what came before (or after)
rodriguez256 really? Wow if you’re being serious. To each his own I️ guess. Fuel’s a great song but that’s about it might as well be a completely different band
No, not kidding, I had to say something good about the album because there's so many people here that can't think for themselves, and resort to other people's opinions when they probably even had a good listen to the album.
After the Metallica marathon go to a Rammstein marathon. My favorite band of all time and I wanna see your reaction to it and your reaction to the german language. :D
YouYouYou!!! Artist Album Marathons loved the reaction sir. Happy new YEARS!! After this Metallica marathon you can do Megadeth(15 albums). They and Metallica are widely known in the metal community as the two best metal bands of all time! (Megadeth offers a wide variety of styles as well) Once you have done them you can go back to the draft :) then you'll have done all of my top 5 of my personal favorite metal bands(Megadeth, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera, Dream Theater). I love Metallica but Megadeth will always be my #1
Trey Alderson-Cloutier Maybe in the us metal community. Globally is more like 1. Iron Maiden 2. Black Sabbath 3. Judas Priest 4. Metallica. Megadeth between 5-10 along with Slayer, Motorhead, Pantera, Death etc
Love the videos! I love the reactions and your genuineness; it's almost like I'm listening for the first time. Keep it up! P.S. if you like shredding Protest the Hero, Pacific Myth is great. It's not so groovy and more heavy but definitely worth a listen as your broaden your metal pallet.
Youyouyou should go back and listen to Unforgiven 2 again (track 4), I think you will really like is once it does get heavy. Metallica's slow songs build up to the heavy parts. You missed one of their best guitar solos in that track.
Every time i listen to this album I just think of my childhood, countless hours spent playing hot wheels turbo racing (how i found out about this album), resident evil 1, final fantasy 7, crash, spyro the dragon, tomb raider, gex enter the gecko, gran turismo, etc
Good to see you like the (re-)-Loads. Give track #4 - "The Unforgiven 2" another shot. It starts off slow/dragging but builds up to one of the most epic choruses. Also...did you skip or just edit out the last track of the album - "Fixxxer" ??? Easily THE best song on Reload! What did you think of that one?
Oh! You loved this one also! I eventually enjoyed Load as a whole after a few more listens, but never fully got into Reload. Can't wait to see how you feel about St. Anger. For the longest I've been predicting that you'll categorize that album as a bunch of background noise. haha Personally, I like a lot of songs on there although there are some flaws (the most obvious one is the snare). I don't consider St. Anger as one of their finest moments, but there is some fun stuff on there. It's an energetic album. Sweet Amber, All Within My Hands, Shoot Me Again, and Dirty Window are a few of my favorites.
He seems to really like shit with groove, which St. Anger does have, but it does get very monotonous. I dunno, I expect a mixed reception to it at best.
Still dont understand how people dislikes Load and Reload... haha, but well to me they ruled, and yeah you skipped the Unforgiven 2? Come on men that is a great song too 💪
Funny facts: 1. James Hetfield (vocals/guitar) uses an octaver at The Memory Remains' choruses, while Kirk's playing what Marriane Faithful's "singing". 2. James Hetfield's soloing on Carpe Diem Baby!!!!!!!
I'm guessing if you skipped Unforgiven 2 you skipped Unforgiven on the Black Album and you missed one of the best Kirk Hammet solo's ever. The Unforgiven Trilogy is such awesome music. Big mistake.
Glad to see you liked Fuel! \m/ A couple of songs that are gonna be coming up soon in Metallica's timeline that I'm not sure if they're in a full album, so you might miss them, are I Disappear and No Leaf Clover. Even if you don't record a reaction to them, I'd at least recommend giving the latter a listen on your own time. That's probably my favorite song from them. I like the first one, too, probably one of the first songs I heard from them, but I like No Leaf Clover more, so I defs don't want you to miss out on that one. From what my digging has uncovered, No Leaf is on a live album, where only that one and one other song is actually legit new, and I Disappear is like some random, stand alone single.
I hope you get around to listening to some Stone Temple Pilots in the future, their first two albums along with No. 4 are amazing, catchy songs with nasty riffs. The best way to describe them is they just have a little something for everyone seeing how they changed their style on each record.
Jordan Schmidt I agree, but I think this guy needs to just stick with Despacito, because he obviously doesn’t understand thrash metal or music before 2000’s.
*My advice to you, my friend* : React to at least Disc 1 of Garage Inc. (Disc 2 is great, but most tracks are '80s Metallica). They're cover songs, but most of the songs are so different to the originals that they often sound like Metallica originals. Disc 1, recorded in 1998, is in line with the albums you love, Load and Reload. You're be doing yourself a disservice to skip it. P.S. - Then brace yourself for St. Anger, by far their worst album IMHO. Things get much better after that.
Dude if you like Load and Reload your going to dig St. Anger I can already tell. Groove all over that album. Great videos by the way man I'm addicted to checking out your videos. 👍👍👍
its interesting that you like load and reload and that you don't like the old stuff. many fans of the old metallica thrash metal sound found that metallica lost their roots with these new albums and that they sold out. your reactions show to me how great these new albums were and how versatile metallica are. thank you.
Weird. But I guess that's the cool thing about Metallica's discography; they appeal to a wide range of rock/metal tastes with their different sounds throughout the years. I'm pretty curious to see how you feel about their last two albums, which are, I feel, a sort of fusion of all their past styles. Happy new year, dude!
I knew you would like these two albums man. Like I said, this is the hard rock part of metallica. They are still metallica no matter what changes they make
If you like the groove of this so much, check out Queens of the Stone Age. They're really good when their lead singer isn't kicking female photographers in the face.
I don't care what other people think either. I get it where this was a time when Metallica wasn't thrash and I prefer the 1st 4 albums too...... BUT this album is still really good for what it is.
I'm looking forward to your reaction to Hardwired To Self Destruct. It's sort of a combination of their 80's stuff and their Load/Reload sound. Should be interesting.
Lol! I knew you'd love this metallica. Idk you might like the ones after this but the load reload albums are probably gunna be where it's at tho. There is a metallica for everybody
Always liked RELOAD. It got a lot of hate back in the day, never got it. But I am not one to hate a band just because of the sound changes. I give it a shot. If I like it, I like it. If not, well.
Dude your moves are priceless. But yes, I will also mention the ballad issue. Not only do they build up and get more complex..they are some of the best songs Metallica has ever written, Fade Sanitarium One Unforgiven 1, 2, 3 Nothing Else Matters Bleeding Me Halo on Fire on the latest album.. He did the Black Album last month on his other channel, and everyone flipped out on him for skipping their earlier albums so now he's doing those. Spoiler alert: He didn't like it. ruclips.net/video/VmDXUavWAbU/видео.html
Just a heads up, the next album (St. Anger) could be iffy. It’s got groove, but maybe not the good kind and the production (intentionally) sucks. I personally like it, but even a lot of hardcore Metallica fans suck. The next two albums after that are good. Idk how you’ll react to Death Magnetic cause it’s a return to their trash roots, but it’s got a bit more groove and the production is much more modern, so maybe it’s got a chance with you. And their latest album (Hardwired... to Self-destruct) is less thrashy. I think you’ll probably like that the best of the next three.
See, one of these days people are gonna realize that you (personally) need a groove in your metal and they'll stop recommending you stuff that you have no palette for. I love it when you find a record that gets you grooving.
JUST FOR YOUR FYI... PRETTY MUCH EVERY “SLOW” SINGLE YOUVE SKIPPED... NEARLY HAS HAD ONE OF THE BEST GUITAR SOLOS OF EACH ALBUM.... if you dont like the start of the song.. ATLEAST skip through the song a little bit until you hear the pace increasing....................
Please react to Black Ash Inheritance/The Jester Race by In Flames. Their early material is one of the founding pillars of melodic death metal, along with Dark Tranquillity and Arch Enemy, and a few others, Children of Bodom. I think you'd love the melodic metal, even if the vocals were maybe a bit of a leap at this point. I've been watching your videos for a week and thank you so much - really enjoying them, and reminding me why I love music so much :) thanks, and enjoy whatever you choose to listen to next :) also - maybe cap off your Metallica marathon with a review of S&M
And this is why Metallica is such a successful band. They’re able to capture different audiences with their eclectic style of songwriting. And, also why they will always be the greatest band in existence

Thijs H hate all the of those albums but do like a couple of songs from hardwire even thoe lars o annoying on drums.
I remember when this album came out, people HATED it.
The Bamboozler and still do
I must be one f the oddballs then because I thoroughly enjoyed both Load and Reload. Don't get me wrong.. rodriguez256 really? Wow if you’re being serious. To each his own I️ guess. Fuel’s a great song but that’s about it might as well be a completely different band
Because most of their fans are elitists
Because the only good song is “Fuel” I still hate this album
Can't wait fo r St anger, one of the best Metallica album's
Daniel James r you just kidding
Antonio Vallejo I personally think St. Anger is good
No, not kidding, I had to say something good about the album because there's so many people here that can't think for themselves, and resort to other people's opinions when they probably even had a good listen to the album.
Daniel James dude get off the drugs ,one of the worse albums ever made.
what? why? how?
Please do Lamb if God next, they are nothing but groove man. Their fucking genre is groove metal, you gotta check them out
After the Metallica marathon go to a Rammstein marathon. My favorite band of all time and I wanna see your reaction to it and your reaction to the german language. :D
Bob Rock found his soulmate?
Happy New Year's!!

No slow ballads, play them strings.
Trey Alderson-Cloutier
Maybe in the us metal community. Globally is more like 1. Iron Maiden 2. Black Sabbath 3. Judas Priest 4. Metallica. Megadeth between 5-10 along with Slayer, Motorhead, Pantera, Death etc

Should be considered a sin to skip unforgiven 2 lol
99FLC he skipped fade to black and hated one, skipped a bunch of others too, fuck this guy
99FLC do skip unforgiven2
No slow ballads are safe.
May be a frued
must be a sin make an unforgiven 2
Youyouyou should go back and listen to Unforgiven 2 again (track 4), I think you will really like is once it does get heavy. Metallica's slow songs build up to the heavy parts. You missed one of their best guitar solos in that track.
Wait, this guy actually skips the songs and doesn't give them a chance? That sucks.
erpaloinen Just slow songs or ballads. Which sucks. He missed Kirks Unforgiven solos, all of them.
Yeah I don’t get it. They’ve had ballads since RLT when they were playing their fastest and heaviest.
@@guitaraholic83 RLT? Ride le Tightning? Is it a french bootleg I don’t know about? 🤣🤣
@@Erkki_Mela hahahaha I goofed on that one. LoL 😂
Dude I think you skipped the last song on the album! The best fucking song on the album! Fixxxer!
Marilyn Manson or Nine Inch Nails would be dope
Every time i listen to this album I just think of my childhood, countless hours spent playing hot wheels turbo racing (how i found out about this album), resident evil 1, final fantasy 7, crash, spyro the dragon, tomb raider, gex enter the gecko, gran turismo, etc
you missed Fixxxer the last song on Reload, it is groovy and epic.
The next Metallica album, St Anger, is one of the most hated metal albums out there lol just a warning
I love St. Anger! It's just the cool album to hate.
St Anger had great songs just horrible production
Yep, I'd say that's spot on haha. Same with Death Magnetic.
Yeah honestly my only knocks on the album are the production and some of the songs can be a bit repetitive, but overall I still love listening to it!
What did you think of that one?
indeed, i was waiting for Fixxer
Oh! You loved this one also! I eventually enjoyed Load as a whole after a few more listens, but never fully got into Reload.

If you like groove then you'll love the deathmetal band Jinjer. They incorporate lots of groove especially in their most recent album.
Garage Inc. shouldn't be skipped!
kmvoss he'd be loved whisky in the jar
thank god he skipped it, it would be painful to see how he skips every song
TheWinni2011 garage inc is the next album and its nothing but covers
you're right, but i hope he skips it cause he didn't like early metallica. It will be painful to saw him skip the entire disc 2
Yo man. You need some Royal Blood. Only 2 albums so far. Both cool but the first one is straight swag.
You need a merch store. I want to buy a shirt that says "NASTY!"
Lane Lauhoff I'd buy one that says "time to get sexy, babyyyyyyyy!"
"hnnghSKIP"
I want it to say "NASTY" with his EEEEEEEEE face hahhah
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers marathon??
Youyouyou!! Check out Metallica's live album S&M (symphony and Metallica). You'll love it :D
Love the Fuel reaction! Review Breaking Benjamin music next please you you you!
this guys a riot, i want to go to a concert with this guy.
ST.ANGER next, bet he'll love it
Pawel Filipczak I can't even agree with this as a meme lmao st anger is going to bore him into a deep sleep
🤣
He seems to really like shit with groove, which St. Anger does have, but it does get very monotonous. I dunno, I expect a mixed reception to it at best.
I bet that he will hate the album sound. But that won't be a barrier for him to like the songs.
No. Load and Reload are actually good.
Since you like Metallica's Ride the Lightning and Pantera, you would love Machine Head, it's thrashy and groovy at the same time.
Bro it’s the same lead singer
(Garage Inc. or) "I DISAPPEAR" - NEXT!!! A song that wasn't on any album, but it was next. And it's their GROOVIEST song ever.
Great to see some appreciation for Reload!
Still dont understand how people dislikes Load and Reload... haha, but well to me they ruled, and yeah you skipped the Unforgiven 2? Come on men that is a great song too 💪
Funny facts:

2. James Hetfield's soloing on Carpe Diem Baby!!!!!!!
Honestly one of my favorite reactions you've done, this and Load 😂
I'm guessing if you skipped Unforgiven 2 you skipped Unforgiven on the Black Album and you missed one of the best Kirk Hammet solo's ever. The Unforgiven Trilogy is such awesome music. Big mistake.
Dude, add Soundgarden to the draft! You will LOVE them!
Glad to see you liked Fuel! \m/
A couple of songs that are gonna be coming up soon in Metallica's timeline that I'm not sure if they're in a full album, so you might miss them, are I Disappear and No Leaf Clover. Even if you don't record a reaction to them, I'd at least recommend giving the latter a listen on your own time. That's probably my favorite song from them. I don’t know how you did it, but you actually made me enjoy Reload for the first time. Salute!
U skipped the best song on the album though
You're right. He shouldn't have skipped Fixxxer.
Faith No More marathon pleaseeeee!!
Reload for my first album I hear of Metallica!
Your videos is very very funny! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
KEEP GOING!!! :D
All the best from Brazil!
WHERE WAS THE SONG "FIXXXER"???? It's the last one on the album!!
I hope you get around to listening to some Stone Temple Pilots in the future, their first two albums along with No. 4 are amazing, catchy songs with nasty riffs. The best way to describe them is they just have a little something for everyone seeing how they changed their style on each record.
Fuel - my all time favorite Metallica song! Thanks for the reactions!
Happy new year dude!
The way this guy dances/talks/reacts is the reason for scars on my wrist
You should check out Volbeat, I think you'd like it.
agree, he seems to be into the pop stuff
How come you keep switching back and forth between the channel you post on? Not that it really affects me as I'm subbed to both.
Megadeth marathon please and thank you
Jordan Schmidt please no, this dude would just sit there looking stupid while listening to their classics, and then go ape shit over “Risk”.
Yeah true, but I just want to know his thoughts on a better metal band than Metallica in my opinion
Jordan Schmidt I agree, but I think this guy needs to just stick with Despacito, because he obviously doesn’t understand thrash metal or music before 2000’s.
Scott Sherwood so for not liking 80s thrash he should just stay away from metal altogether? You're a moron
Burnet Vocalist Thats not at all what I said you fucking idiot.
I'm loving the that you're clearly having fun. Good shit.
Love your channel man. Even when we don't agree on the awesomeness of a song, I still dig it.
Deftones..........deftones..........deftones
*My advice to you, my friend* : React to at least Disc 1 of Garage Inc. (Disc 2 is great, but most tracks are '80s Metallica). Agreed, but he doesn't like the sound of '80s Metallica. He should give it a chance, but I think he'll hate most of it.
I knew what your reaction would be for Fuel. One of my favorites right there.
hey man, hello from Costa Rica, love your METALLICA reactions !!!!
You have to listen to "The persistence of time"
Particularly , " Intro to reality, until "the belly of the BEAST"
This dude absolutely kills me..."Let's get sexy baby"!!!!!!
Great album, the mix and production are incredible!
Dude if you like Load and Reload your going to dig St. Anger I can already tell. Groove all over that album. Great videos by the way man I'm addicted to checking out your videos. 👍👍👍
its interesting that you like load and reload and that you don't like the old stuff. many fans of the old metallica thrash metal sound found that metallica lost their roots with these new albums and that they sold out. your reactions show to me how great these new albums were and how versatile metallica are. thank you.
Sepultura, Helmet, Fear Factory, and White Zombie are good choices for next metal bands you'd dig. Lets keep it goin!
Protest the hero. You will never be bored

If you like the groove of this so much, check out Queens of the Stone Age. They're really good when their lead singer isn't kicking female photographers in the face.
Can't wait to see the St. Anger review... I honestly have no idea how you're going to react to that. LOL...
Keath Warlick I 'll give it to you right now , it stinks caca
you you youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu hahaha
maaaan i love your reactions
i waiting for next album and your reaction man
I love all ur reactions man lol.. they make my day better!!!
Happy New year!
If you liked this Album, you should make a Alice in chains marathon.
They have an awesome lead singer
Ngl. This made me appreciate these albums.
I don't care what other people think either. I get it where this was a time when Metallica wasn't thrash and I prefer the 1st 4 albums too...... BUT this album is still really good for what it is.
The guy can headbang with his mouth. Love it.
"Hand me that Metallica sauce , cuz it has so much flavour" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
White Zombie. Mostly their two 90s albums.
He will probably like Death Magnetic.
Him Singing Give Me Fuel Give Me Fire Give Thou Witch I Desire
Into That Brush 😀
Always liked RELOAD. It got a lot of hate back in the day, never got it. But I am not one to hate a band just because of the sound changes. I give it a shot. If I like it, I like it. If not, well.
Yo yo yoooooooooo Happy new year from Argentina!!!! I LOVE your vídeos. Please do a Megadeth reaction.
Happy New Year to you you yoooooooouu! Dude you would absolutely love Godsmack I think.
You should do Soundsystem by 311. Funk slap bass mixed with the dancehall, hip hop beats and funk guitar.
This man rocks!!!
Dude your moves are priceless. But yes, I will also mention the ballad issue. Not only do they build up and get more complex..they are some of the best songs Metallica has ever written,
Fade
Sanitarium
One
Unforgiven 1, 2, 3
Nothing Else Matters
Bleeding Me
Halo on Fire on the latest album..
But yes you do have to be in the right mood, and mentally prepared. If you are looking for instant groove, those songs won't work for you.
PS..where is the black album upload?
And Fixxer of this one?
He did the Black Album last month on his other channel, and everyone flipped out on him for skipping their earlier albums so now he's doing those. Spoiler alert: He didn't like it.
ruclips.net/video/VmDXUavWAbU/видео.html
He would fall in love with GODSMACK in a heartbeat!
You should really give the Iron Maiden albums a shot
No way he likes st anger
Part of me thinks he'll like St Anger, but he won't be able to get past the tone of the drums. It is pretty much Lars banging on pots and pans.
Hell hate the production and the absence of snare. To me the album sounds like a shity GarageBand
Douche Baggins i was wrong on that one
Just a heads up, the next album (St. Anger) could be iffy. It’s got groove, but maybe not the good kind and the production (intentionally) sucks. I personally like it, but even a lot of hardcore Metallica fans suck. The next two albums after that are good. Idk how you’ll react to Death Magnetic cause it’s a return to their trash roots, but it’s got a bit more groove and the production is much more modern, so maybe it’s got a chance with you. And their latest album (Hardwired... to Self-destruct) is less thrashy. I think you’ll probably like that the best of the next three.
Yeah, the newest has a good mix of old and groovy Load-esque songs. Like Dream No More and Am I Savage
Hes gonna fucking love ST.Anger....
Don't listen to the haters man. I liked these albums. Also i like your reactions so. Haha keep it up 🤘👍
See, one of these days people are gonna realize that you (personally) need a groove in your metal and they'll stop recommending you stuff that you have no palette for. I love it when you find a record that gets you grooving.
Almost forgot, happy new years! #Noballadsaresafe2018.
Now can we get a finish to KORN please?!?
Oh and before I forget you’ll LOVE Hardwired.
Happy new year YouYouYou
Excellent as always
Let's keep it going
Up the irons
Load and Reload are very good hard rock albums
