This is an EXCELLENT walk through on these rifles.
Alan is great on all that he does
Fantastic review of a superior product. Honestly, you should use your presentation talents and teach others how to effectively describe a product. Kudos!
Allen, my compliments on an excellent sales presentation. Thorough and concise.
Perfect video, thanks! I love that you don't blab on and on, you get the info out in a way that isn't boring or bland, overall excellent presentation.
I can’t wait for the 357 mag!!! A Henry gun that I won’t need to worry about scratching the stock, slap a light on for pests at night and in my Preferred carry round is the sweet spot!!!
Yeah that's a super nice gun
Just found this channel and by far some of the best demonstration and information on guns. I wish gun shops around me had such knowledgeable and excellent workers. Thank you for the great videos.
That is one of the best firearm overviews I’ve seen. Very well presented Sir! Thank you.
Henry builds a fine rifle, doesn't matter what you pick, you can't go wrong.
their 22's not so hot.
@@chadhaire1711 opinions vary, but pretty much everyone including me disagree with you.
@@rustyshakleford7002 Pretty much "everyone"? Guess you took a nationwide poll did you or did you ask your invisible friends?
@@chadhaire1711 well I only noticed 1internet troll with something negative to say and they sell the hell out of them so yeah I guess I sort of did take a national pole, see how that works troll boy, have your mom warm up a hot Pocket for you.
@@chadhaire1711 you really seem to think your opinion carries some weight, it doesn't.
You are simply one of the best firearm reviewers on the internet. Thank you very much!
Totally agree.
I have both the Marlin SBL 45/70 and Henry X 45/70 and just finished shooting them. Marlin has better recoil control but the Henry is super light and all around now my favorite rifle.
Really nice review, and your right. The .357 is going to be very popular.
you're.
I am a big Henry fan I have 2 of the X models the 357. And the 410 I can tell yon the 357 X is the best Henry I have ever shot the action is unbelievable the sights are outstanding and the side gate is the way to go I can say enough about the 357 I shoot 38s in mine No problems. I repeat No Problems . The 410 works great the lever throw is long but works flawless The greatest part is about the X models is the durability the grandkids can't mess up the wood I can throw it in the truck and it holds up great 👍
DAn Thompson how bad is the recoil on the .357? Also what’s a good price for it?
I shoot all 38 special reloads with 38s it no recoil not loud at all handles great I love it I think I paid 7 something they have another one in stock now freedom sports shop Elpaso il
DAn Thompson I wish they made this in a wood version. I’m having a tough time with the idea of a synthetic Henry lol. All the current wood versions are still just tube fed. I want side load gate.
You know I didn't want it when I first Sean it then I thought about it for a gun to have in the tractor or gator that I couldn't hurt I have the side gate 45-70 brass it's a show piece I love it but it's not one the abuse . I'm sure a wood one will be coming some day
I guess I use it as a work gun around the farm
I live in Phoenix, AZ. Just bought the Henry X Model in 45-70 for $ 755.26 this is truly a great rifle
That lever action sounds amazing. I love how it sounds. It's literally so good.
Thanks for the video on these new offerings. I have a Henry Model H006MR .357 Magnum/.38 Carbine with the brass that I really enjoy. I even have experimented with putting a picatinny rail with red dot and 3x magnifier on it for personal/home defense. However, with these new offerings that equipment along with a suppressor if you wanted would go great on an X series.
I love the wood stock, old timey guns, and would never guess how beautiful I'd find a lever action in all black.
I love my Henry, gonna check those out. Thanks!!
Great job, thank you for sharing. I have the .357/38 . In fact I just cleaned her today. She has only about 250 rounds through her, but I loaded up about 500 or so today and get her out again tomorrow and giver her a proper break in
Picked up the 45-70 yesterday and threw a couple hot rounds through it. Great weight and recoil isn’t too bad. One hell of a fun gun.
I laughed when you referred to the threaded barrel because I did wonder why you hadn’t mentioned it ! I subscribed because of that. Excellent video !
How did I not know that you guys had a RUclips? I haven't seen it posted in your store. This just randomly came up on my recommendations. If you guys are in the Dayton area these guys are great. 100 percent recommend checking them out.
Great vid, very informative. I'll be adding the X in .45-70 to my short list. Thanks!
A truly literate and informative presentation ! The 357 and 44 should sell very well.
The .45 Colt will also sell well.
That old warhorse has a loyal following.
I got the 45 colt and had a blast shooting steel at the pistol range!
I’ve been waiting for these to come to the UK. When I saw ‘English outfitters’ I thought I was in luck. Never mind, great to get a detailed look at what it’s all about.
Thought you guys couldnt own guns?
@@Gods-bad-boy With a firearms certificate (licence) we can have bolt and lever action rifles in the UK (in addition to some other things).
I've gotta get one of those. 45. Colt is what I've been wanting for a long time on the range
Thanks for quick review, I am looking forward to you putting some lead down range with it. I thought it was going to also come out in 30-30 as well.
They’re out now!
Fantastic. I've been wanting a Henry in .357 mag for a while but the lack of a loading gate always kept me away. Sounds like I'm going to need to get an X series.
These look awesome! Can't wait to see one.
So nice to see some reviews on this. Ability to just dump out the rounds, and not having to cycle to unload is very nice.
Welcome to the 21st century Henry! Fiber optic sights? I knew you could do it! 👍
This was a nice review, thank you Allen, but I wish you discussed the differences between the Big Boy version and the normal variant cause I'm confused.
There’s just no question about it… Henry has really brought the lever action into the 21st-century unlike anyone else.
Always liked Henry rifles; thank you.
I like those .44Magnum and 800. Dollars with a 17 inch barrel. That’s what I call a Winner.
This will be my next purchase, thanks!
Really good presentation......thank you
I myself is a pretty big fan of the 410. Can't wait to get one.
Gotta love the loading gates. Most models not having one has certainly turned me off of getting one but Henry has me interested!
Here in Michigan most deer are taken under 75 yards with 40 yards being the average last I checked. I knew a man with one arm that field his limit each year with a Ruger Deer Slayer in 44 Rem Mag. 44 Rem Mag is fantastic on deer at and under 100 yards. A decade or so ago a popular gun writer took a Zebra a 1/4 shot entering the hind quarter and ending up in the lungs. He weapon of choice was a Encore in 44 Rem Mag.
Henry's never disappoints, i love this gun
Love the fact that I can run this gun suppressed. I will certainly be getting this and 4570 to run suppressed
Thank You for the Information.
Thanks for sharing your video on the veriaty of Henry riffle's have a little for everyone or almost everyone. I would like to see the 38sp/357 Henry riffle? Or did you show it when you said 357 lever action.
That lever size is nice, I always disliked the bigger loop levers, to much space between your fingers & lever, ( wasted space ) that one looks perfect...
Yeah I agree. I have a Winchester wrangler in .32 special. Big loupe lever. Don't like it near as well as my Henry lever. That slightly larger lever might be nice
The Rifleman had the BIG loop..
@@CHEECHMUN He would have been so much faster with a smaller loop. Anything's possible in Hollywood...
@@johnganshow5536 hahaha
@ala ska I lived in Alaska for 37 years, oversized levers suck...
I really do hope that this comes to Canada. I want one so bad!!
Excellent video well done, I want one of these actually I want three of them I want the pistol caliber I want the 45 70 and the 410
Fantastic channel. Thank you.
Those are mighty fine rifles
Love my Henry Big Boy Steel in .44 magnum. I salivate for this version. Hits all of my buttons. The .44 magnum is perfect. The 45-70 also makes me tingle a tad. Go Henry!
Mine gets to my FFL in 3 days, cant wait
How did it turn out?
@@SaraphDarklaw oh it's like night and day compared to the Marlin 1894sbl i had. Smooth action and very accurate.
Recommend it to everyone looking for a lever rifle. Put 200 rounds through it.
I enjoyed this video. Nice to listen to a quiet, competent presentation.
Any idea how the 410 would work with slugs?
Excellent video, sir!
I have two Henry’s ! There gorgeous! Worth the money 💵 life time warranty. !
Might be popular? Henry hit a grand slam home run with this. They modernized popular rifles tastefully and put everything on it a sane person would want. No m4 stock or ar handguard. Even a tradionalist would see these and smile.
Think I'm definitely getting one or two of these
I got 1 for free this weekend in 45-70gvt with side gate. The biggest caliber I ever shot was 7.62x54r so let's see. I may pick up one in .22lr now. I do own 2 of the Ruger 10/22s but the lever action seem fun.
Going to get one in .410 for sure for my grandson
Good information! Very nice rifle.
Would love to see Henry make this gun with brass receiver and side loading gate with wood furniture in 357 mag. and/or 45 long Colt. I would not hesitate to purchase one/or both of these. Do it Henry!
This new model of Henry's allowed me to pick up a Golden Boy 22 mag at local gun and pawn for $300. It was in pristine condition. There is a 45/70 there now hopefully I can put it on layaway thursday.
Great video.
Very glad when Henry makes 327 Federal mag with side gate
I'll be up Thursday to pick up my 45-70!
I just bought one of the 410s what he forgot to mention is that the x model has removable chokes
Liked and subscribed. Might be interested in the 357
The biggest improvement is the use of a pistol grip. Never cared for straight stock.
pistol stocks aren't accurate. u need 2 learn how 2 shoot properly
Schlomo Shekelstein It’s not a matter of accuracy, since accuracy is more often than not dependent on the shooter; it’s a matter of ergonomics.
@@BSFilms1997 pistol grips are for smoothbrains
Thank you for explaining the safety. Just picked one up noticed no half cock. Henry doesn't use the cross bar safety like modern Marlins.
love them. Really sweet.
Nice review. I’ll take one of each!
I see they do...great presentation!!!!!
Man, a 12ga Version of this would be amazing.
I'm sold!
Well made video. Keep it up.
Ohio! Much love from Cleveland
Very nice looking gun.
I plan to buy one as soon as they make it in stainless. Not a deal breaker, but a “takedown” option would be welcomed as well.
Love the 44mag
It's about time they came up with a modern loading system.
Wyndmoor PA
I would really like the collapsible stock the Mossberg used. Is it available for this rifle.
I am a traditionalist when it comes to a lever gun. However these rifles really take that modern edge and apply it so it does not really look goofy like some of the other "tactical" lever guns. I would like to see a 30-30 and a 35 Rem. as well. I would start with a .357 and that 45-70 and just keep adding these to the collection.
Sure would like to see stainless steel offered on all Henry models!
.38 Special with a suppressor would be a mighty fun plinker.
Wish my lgs would get one in. The one I ordered.
Very interesting. I have never been a fan of lever actions, having grown up in the age of the auto loader, but this is an interesting rifle nonetheless. Much better looking than Mossberg’s idea of a modern lever gun.
Crap! That was a great review. Now I need one of these.
i like the added features, ive just never been a fan of synthetic furniture.
Same here. A Henry rifle with wood furniture is a work of art that also works as a fine rifle. I hope Henry rethinks that decision, maybe offer wood as an option.
Do they offer the forend piece with just the nblock with the slotted rail omitted as an option.
That would keep it modern and still keep it more traditional looking even with the synthetic stock.
Dam , like I needed an excuse for another now I got to get the 410 and the 357 , 😍
I wouldn't be interested in the X series, but your video made me go look at the Henry website. For fit/finish, trigger, accuracy, etc, do you think new Marlins or Henry's are better? Specifically interested in your opinion of carbines in pistol calibers, 44 mag or 45 colt. Thanks in advance.
They really need the 500 and 460 s&w magnums in these.
Id buy a 500sw rifle. There arent really rifles chambered for it.
Darrell Gardner you mean besides Big Horn Armory’s 500S&W rifles? They were the only company I can think of at this time...
@@JackOSUrulz yep, I remember seeing those. Way to expensive. This price point would be perfect for a 500 magnum. Honestly, can't believe there lever gun companies haven't jumped on it, there must be something, I don't understand about the cartridge.
@@JackOSUrulz that is the only one I can really think of. But $2500 is a bit much for a gun just for the sake of having it.
Darrell Gardner it is steep. To me, those are for someone who plans on using it for its intended purpose. Big game and such. Maybe as a hog rifle as well. Yes, plenty of other guns that are quite powerful enough to take down game in that category for less money. But some people can afford it and maybe want to do the “perfect pair” with a 500 mag revolver. Not me, just saying there are those....anyway, I gave a few guns that are near that price point and above, but they perform a function at a level that I can’t get in something cheaper for that specific purpose. Or maybe they are in short supply, low demand, or a combo of all of those factors. Until Henry, Marlin, or even....*GULP*....Rossi....make a gun in that caliber, Big Horn can charge what they want...
Just watched your video👍🏻👍🏻 When will you be getting more of the Henry X back in stock? Thank you
I would love to see this in a high cap 22 lr threaded just like this that I could suppress!
I bet that its in the works. it makes too much sense not too!
I love Hebert Rifles! Made in the USA!🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
Slick looking rifle
I wish it had the all weather metal finish but this will be next gun.
Henry is the best they have a lot of new exciting products just can't make up my mind what to get
The side gate and the slightly larger lever are some awesome features for the Henry.
I would really like to see these features on a standard Henry.
However the price is higher, than the standard Henry.
To me the looks of a Henry are the main reasons to own one,
I believe.
If not for the looks, you might as well get a Marlin.
Side gate and half the price.
Not anymore. Have you priced them lately?
@@Buckshotshoey00
Are you talking about the Marlins being half that or are you saying they have lower the price on this new Henry.
Because yes I have, I just picked up a 30/30 for around four hundred bucks.
However I still would like a Henry 45/70 in the classic style with a side gate and the slightly larger lever.
The side gate is what's stopped me twice in the past couple of years for getting a new Henry.
I'm glad I waited because I almost got the 44.
Now I'm just going to wait for them to work these features into the classic style and get the 45/70.
357 with a side gate and a 16" octagonal barrel and walnut furniture. One safety on the trigger guard maximum. Price it at or under 650 and you'll have the ultimate levergun.
I would like that henry more if it had a scout rail on it too.
