If I may help with the numbers here: If you are adding 200% (Which I think you are), that is not doubling, that is _tripling_ damage. because you are adding an extra 200% to your base 100%. Edit 10:39 PM 17/10/24: Appears I was wrong, it is increasing it to 200%, not adding 200%, my bad.
A good way to tell is if it say "+200% damage" then it's tripling but if it says "200% damage" It's proably just doubling. The other way to tell is if you have things like "25% damage" as an increase then "200% damage" would be triple

Yeah got a friend with certain sensitivities in that department. She watches me play games regularly , but I like shoot-em-ups like this allot as well. Nowadays I know what to watch out for and I tell her : " Sorry playing a game today you can't watch " . Well, your math is right, its just mot games are pretty bad about being clear if something is additive or multiplicative
