I pretty much did what you did and what the new starter guide said to do on mod nexus but anytime I enter in the game literally nothing has changed, it's just the same vanilla layout. Idk what I'm doing wrong
A lot of the times you have to unzip the files and then on the unzipped file you have to go into properties and unblock the file so it can do it's thing.
@@funnelingspace9268 You right click on the file and press ''unpack''. If the file doesn't allow you to do this, then download 7zip, it allows you to unzip any file. Then when it has been unzipped, you go into the folder and drag out the folder within that folder to where the mods are kept. Then you go into the file and search for DLL files. Then you right click on them and press ''properties'' after that you just press unblock and if there isn't an option that says ''unblock'' then that's great cause it means it's allowed. After all that you can try and see if it works.
@@babaganoush9237 sorry for being bad at this but I installed 7zip, it's called 7z1900 in my folder but it doesn't show up when I right click the mod folder, but when I drag the mod folder over the 7z1900 it says that if I want to install it or to cancel. I feel like I'm fucking up
@@funnelingspace9268 It should be in the downloads tab, then you opne the 7zip file and download it. Then you should be able to right click on any file and use 7zip. If you can't find it in ''donloads'' try to look in ''most recent''. BTW when you use 7zip to unzip a mode make sure to use the ''unzip(name of folder)'' option.
Could need a step by step, cause i followed all of the steps, to play the stronghold mod. Put them in the data file, got got scrip hook, and something called mod msu, and the mod itself and nothing ingame.
I was thinking the same. This game is part of a very distinct gaming "taste". I wasnt surprised at all to see Rimworld, Mount and Blade, Xcom and a paradox game too. Also someone with such a good taste must admire some real classics of our generation like Battle for Middle earth. haha :D Just look on the Steam profiles of anyone who is creating mods for any of those games and you will see what I mean, its crazy, i love it.

@@PuggoRebornChannel this is my first mod, its called bro editor its for editting the traits and skills of your brothers, i used it with script hooks as it instructed me too, the mod was tested in 1.4.0.40* with blazing deserts, when i launched the game it was just a black screen with the little steam pop-up at the bottom right showing up over and over again very quickly i dont know where to report bugs sorry :( (also i didnt expect you to actually answer thx so much) i used winrar but i didnt open it only dragged it to the data file
@@mcpopcorn3195 not a problem man! I know the struggle. If you go to the update through steam on the battle brothers community page there should be a link to report bugs. Otherwise, you can go to OverHype studios page and report there. Maybe a dumb question, but have you restarted your PC sense trying? It is a small chance that might work. I got lucky once. Anything I can do to help lemme know!
you shouldn't need too. make sure to verify the mod for Blazing Deserts bc the newest update stats it can mess with mods and to be careful. I think it's on Overhypes side at the moment

Thank you for the effort! I also have two questions and I hope you can help me with that :) 1. If a Modautor say I must unpack his mod do this mean I have to put it into the data folder or into data_001 etc.? 2. Do I need the dlcs or not to use the mods. Thanks to everyone who can help me with that. ^^
1. I can honestly say I have never unpacked a mod, but I found a very informative link on Steam that may help! steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=745239455 2. Every mod should detail out what DLCs the mod needs. Some mods are created universal and others have different versions that you need to download. Again, that's up to the person who created the mod to list it in description section. Hope this helps!
Try to find it by looking up the files location of your steam (or look op local files of your game itself) Yeah i see that it was 2 years ago but i will be glad if either you already figured this out or i was actually useful
Not sure why none of the mods i install work. I drag and drop the zip files into the data folder as listed in their installation steps and in this video I have the hooks mod as well. =/
hey puggo thanks for the vid, I thought I did something wrong because none of my mods had any effect in the game, found your video and realized I did everything exactly correct lol Any idea how I can fix this, none of the mods are registering in-game at all.

Just tried it Saturday. You don't have to unzip files. Just take the downloaded folder and place it in the same location. Planning to make an update video

This guy doesnt unzip the zip files. Every modded game ive had you need to unzip the compressed files. 7zip is a free program and works really well

Okay, do you have the latest version downloaded on Faster mod? V8?
Also, are you using script hooks mod? Without this mod it may not work
